Speaking The Truth In Love
Ephesians 4:
14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about
with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness
of deceitful plotting,
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him
who is the head, Christ.
16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint
supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share,
causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Behaving Like Christians
Romans 12:9-18.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving
preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving
the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.Bless those who persecute
you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those
who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high
things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay
no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible,
as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
The Free Exercise of Liberty In Christ
Galatians 5:
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an
opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Love Your Neighbor
Romans 13:8-10.
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another
has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, You shall not commit adultery,
You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
You shall not covet, and if there is any other commandment, are all summed
up in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
