Hi everyone!

I came over to let some of you know that I have new posts, sort of journal entries, that I would appreciate if some of you read in your spare time. They're about my scrupulosity (spiritual ocd) and they're under the OCD section.

I would just really appreciate prayer too. Thank you guys so much.

Here are some of them.

I started a journal entry series with these:

The Scrupulosity Series: Episode 1, OCD and Me Pt. 1
The Scrupulosity Series: Episode 1, OCD and Me Pt. 2
The Scrupulosity Series: Episode 1, OCD and Me Pt. 3

These are just parts of my updated testimony:
In Serious Need of Prayer Pt. 1
In Serious Need of Prayer Pt. 2
In Serious Need of Prayer Pt. 3
In Serious Need of Prayer Pt. 4

Update 6/27/2021:

Here's my most recent post,

The Entertainment OCD

On my way to the OCD section to help as best I can. Prayers sent up for you while I'm on the way.

For others who are not so familiar with the subforums of Christian Forums, might I suggest a link to the forum where you are posting about your OCD?

Hi Nicole my name is Jay and I know what its like to have Religious Scrupulosity.

I would recommend taking your thoughts even your OCD thoughts to God in prayer.

The NLT version of Philippians 4:6 says

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

I would also recommend reinforcing the truth with encouraging bible verses. Just say them over and over.

The last thing I would recommend is always having supports to talk to. They can take you away from the ocd thoughts and get you back on track to thinking good thoughts.

Here are four web pages with 32 total bible verses to encourage your faith:
beginnerinchrist.blogspot.com
jaybiblememory.blogspot.com
newbiblememory.blogspot.com
extrabiblememory.blogspot.com

In the end U will be Okay. Jesus Has The Victory. And U as a Member of Christ Also Have The Victory.

Have A Blessed Night

Shalom - Jay

Thank you so much Jay, nice to meet you. God bless you too. Yes, I take my OCD thoughts to God constantly. Did so earlier too and I just let it all out, just to be honest with the Lord. I feel better. I do seek counseling from my pastors at church and I also talk to few other trusted adults in my life. Yes, I'm pressing forward through the Word and praying that the Word gets through to my heart, and that I stand firmly on it. When I get an OCD thought I just dismiss it, reminding myself it's not of God and I move on. I'm striving to place scripture into it too.

Hey Nicole I'm glad you have strategies to overcome the ocd in your life.

Another strategy that may help is: "Rebuking It"

For example: "I rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus"
"I rebuke the lie in the name of Jesus"
"I rebuke the negative thought in the name of Jesus"
"I rebuke the devil and all devils in the name of Jesus"

I have been taught that the devil is defeated and we have authority over him. So basically the devil is a weaponless, powerless jerk.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.

Romans 16:20
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Have Faith, Live in The Spirit, Enjoy Life, Avoid Sin, Go With The Flow.

We all will have the Victory because Jesus already has it.

Yes, that's exactly right. I know without a doubt the devil continues to try stealing the Word from my heart and any sound advice i've received from Pastors and those close to me. No doubt the devil is trying to keep me in a continuous loop of confusion and doubt. No doubt he's using stuff against me and twisting it to trip me up. It's been hard, but I'm praying it out. I know at the end I have to trust God no matter what, and step out in faith, no second-guessing or what-ifs.

That's good you have really good faith Nicole! What you are saying makes it seem that you do have some good life and good days in spite of the ocd. And I really do hope you have more good days ahead and things just get better every second, hour, day, week, year, century, millennium, and forever.

Have a blessed day :)
