Defunding the military doesn't really sound like a good idea. The "wokeness" thing is ultimately just a form of discrimination, so it makes more sense to introduce some anti-discrimination law that prohibits any kind of unequal treatment based on race, or teaching recruits any ideology that discriminates.

Seems more like frustrated hyperbole brought on by the disturbing news about those, or at least some of those, running our military - some would add "into the ground," and others would add "intentionally."

Constitutionally of course, we can't defund the military. Nor can we do it sanely or rationally. But irrationally and unconstitutionally? For those so inclined, they have to be licking their chomps about now.

The laws exist, but that doesn't prevent it from happening.

Deep-rooted racism, discrimination permeate US military

And let's not forget women in the military suffer a lot of sexism, even very recently.

Uh, there is no Constitutional require for us to have a standing military. In fact the first standing army of the US under the Constitution didn't come into existence until 3 years after the COnstitution came into effect. So yes, constitutionally we can eliminate the military. As for defunding being insane or irrational, we have the third or four largest military in the world and far and away the most well funded. Our military budget is larger then the combined military budget of the next 11 countries, and 9 of those are allies of ours. We can trim it by significant amounts and still be far and away the most powerful military in the world.

If General Milley wasn't trying to upstage his superior officer (Sec.of Def.) who was questioned before him on this subject and stated that the military was no place to flout one's political ideology (my interpretation), none of this would be happening. If Gen. Milley isn't under investigation yet, he should be. I don't feel good about this officer at all. As a matter of fact, I think he and former Gen. Flynn are working for the same element.

Flaunt, not flout. Did you even listen to the general's interview?

If Gen. Milley isn't under investigation yet, he should be.
For what? For pushing back on Gaetz' and the right-wing misinterpretation of CRT?

That is an absurd conclusion - former Gen. Flynn was literally on the payroll for foreign interests while Gen. Milley is literally working for our military.

Flynn admitted to a criminal act, twice. He received a pardon for his crime.

What element is that?

Chinese and Iranian Silkworm missiles will applaud Ingram's integrity in standing up to those SJW's.

I'm sure there will be small comfort that she "owned the libs" for military personnel in any potentially conflict.
