Rudy Giuliani suspended from practicing law in New York over false statements about Trump election loss

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/24/rud...8rnPhkxnydldpHb8-ZnaFzEAhOC-c-PNuk8taxDdc9PcU

A New York court on Thursday suspended Rudy Giuliani from practicing law in New York state due to making “false and misleading statements” about the election loss of former President Donald Trump, his client.

The suspension, which takes effect immediately, is a stunning blow to Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who previously served as a top Justice Department official and as the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan.

It also comes as Giuliani is under criminal investigation by that same federal prosecutor’s office in Manhattan in connection with his work in Ukraine.

As Jay Leno said, if your lawyer needs a lawyer, you need a lawyer!

Well, I guess it is not professionally ethical for a lawyer to make a claim that has been ruled untrue by even the Supreme Court. And Donald got a majority of justices in the Supreme Court; yet, they overruled his claim of a stolen election. So, if a lawyer denies the legitimacy of the American justice system, I suppose he should not be surprised if the American justice system denies his legitimacy.

But when people are addicted to some wrong thing, they can stay in denial, no matter what proof there is otherwise against what has them hooked. And they can go into major withdrawal symptoms, of crying and denying and rage if you even threaten the item that is their idol, or the person who is their love idol.

In the Bible it says we are not to accuse anyone of anything, unless we have "two or three witnesses" >

"'One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.'" (Deuteronomy 19:15) This is what Moses was told to give to the Jews.

"'But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that "by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established."'" (Matthew 18:16) This is what Jesus says.

"This will be the third time I am coming to you. 'By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.'" (2 Corinthians 13:1) This is what our Apostle Paul says.

It does not seem we have two or three eyewitnesses or forensic evidence that even Republican Supreme Court and other Republican justices accept . . . that so many local voting places have cheated in counts. I would say there are a lot of voting places, but only a few people claiming to be witnesses of cheating.

The numbers of claimed eyewitnesses doesn't add up to cover every single voting place in the U.S.A. of three hundred and thirty million people and all their towns and cities.

There seem to be more rumor spreaders, than actual court accredited eyewitnesses and/or forensic experts.

A screaming face on TV or a note in the Net is not evidence, never mind proof.

But if you hook a fish, it doesn't matter how much proof the fish has, then, that the bait or lure is not trustworthy.

People can get addicted to someone, then it doesn't matter how much proof shows up, that they are wrong. Ones put religious leaders above question; they can fight endlessly for doctrines which their idols have taught them. They fall in love, then ignore the evidence. And mothers of psychopaths have been known to suppose their little darlings could not possibly have turned into serial predators; sisters of predators have claimed their brothers were so kind, that they could not possibly have done what they did.

So, this is a people thing, which people do and will keep on doing.

We can have the character to fool our own selves and not even know it. And I have even thought I was being smart while fooling myself into doing certain things.

What's next for the regime? Public executions of anyone who supported Trump? Death by howitzer?

SMH.
What regime? This was the action of the Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division to enforce the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Bill Clinton lost his law license and nobody made a big deal about it. Rich people don't need law licenses if they have partners who have them they can do all the legal stuff for them not a huge deal IMO.

Bill Clinton wasn't a practicing lawyer by that point. Giuliani is (or, as of right now, was).

Hillary is Lawyer regardless so he doesn't need to have the degree anyway. Giuliani can do just fine without a Law Degree, he just has to tell his staff of Lawyers what to do and let them do it.

You apparently don't realize that he is suspended from practicing law in New York state. So your reference to "the regime" is meaningless.

We have more stinkin' lawyers in this country than we need anyway especially in Washington DC.

His suspension has nothing to do with DC. He can no longer practice law in New York.

Not sure I agree with disbarring someone just for going around saying false things, not even for a grotesque liar like Giuliani.
What I could see him getting disbarred for is running around with shady foreign agents for the purpose of upending a US election.
