I think that most believers who are recently saved for the last 15 seconds, understand they are to live for God, as a lifestyle.
:THey should also understand that they live for God, BECAUSE HE HAS SAVED THEM, and not to try to STAY Saved by trying to be good.
See that?

Titus 2:11-14 notably does not say that we need to obey God's laws for how to do those things in order to become saved or that we will obey them because we have been saved, but rather it describes our salvation as being trained by grace to do those things.

God does not require you to agree to do good works, after you are saved, to save you.
He is not in the bargain business to redeem you.

Christ didn't hang on the Cross and die, to later make a bargain with you whereby if you agree to be a good person and try your best, He will save you.

No.

See, Salvation is God calling SINNERs to be made Righteous.
Jesus said...>"i did not come to call the RIGHTEOUS, but SINNERS", to the Cross.

The reason we are "made righteous", is because we WERE NOT until we were Made Righteous by God's Blood.
And this is caused not by your law keeping or your 10 commandment worshiping, or your water baptism, or your church membership..

We are given Heaven as our Home, right now, by being made Righteous, by God's BLood.
This is why God accepts us... He accepts us based on us being "made righteous".
He has to do it as "the GIFT of Righteousness".
This is Jesus.
John 14:6

As usual, you only quoting only part of the Gospel by which we are saved. You left out "Repentance" and all those Passages I keep quoting to you about a new life in Lord Jesus.

In other words, you are quoting Passages that describe elements within the Gospel, but you have left out the context of that Gospel Message.

Faith always includes repentance from the deeds of darkness into a life in obedience to Lord Jesus.

Acts 26:19-20 (WEB) 19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20 but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

The Gospel messages is instruction to bring all the Gentiles into the obedience that comes from faith. Faith without obedience to the one you have now put your faith in is dead.

Romans 1:5 (NIV) 5 Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.

Romans 16:25-26 (NIV) 25 Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith

That is what a disciple is – a faithful follow of Jesus, obeying all things He commands of us. That is the Gospel.

Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Matthew 7:21-28 (WEB)
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ 23 Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’
24 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. 25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell — and its fall was great.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,

Lord Jesus gave many parables that illustrate what a true faith represents. Lord Jesus also gave instruction by word and example of that one faith. In the Scripture just quoted “Matthew 7:21-28” Lord Jesus made an important point regarding that faith, that we are not to be hearer only but doers of all He instructed us:

Matthew 7 verses 24-25 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. 25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.”

Matthew 7 verses 26-27 “26 Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell — and its fall was great.”

Matthew 28:19-20 (WEB) 19 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

James 1:21-24 (WEB) 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

You are talking about becoming ....the process of becoming a Christian.
Im talking about being one.

So, sure, we are to repent of our unbelief and turn to faith in Christ.
There is your "repentance" that God accepts to Justify and Redeem.

You REPENT of your UNBELIEF.
You turn from your UNBELIEF< and you begin to BELIEVE in Christ.
That is true repentance, that God accepts as FAITH.

Real faith, ...God accepts to give you the "new Birth".
Its this new birth (born again) that proves you are actually Saved....or not.

A lot of religious people, or backslidden Christians, or, baby Christians, think that "faith" is the savior.
So, they read "dead faith", that James is describing to those lukewarm or backslidden believers in the verse where He is describing them, ....and the novice believer misinterprets this as "dead salvation".
However, if those with dead faith were LOST, then James would not be instructing them about what to do about their dead faith.

The "New Birth" is a totally new life in Lord Jesus - not the old life you once lived for sinful desires.

The New Birth, which is a new life in Lord Jesus, is the Salvation of God to those who believe.

You are using terms such as:
  • "new birth,"
  • "redeemed,"
  • "saved,"
  • "faith,"
but you are leaving out the Gospel meaning of these terms. You omit all the context - the teaching - about that new birth, new life, what it means to be saved, or what the faith of the Gospel actually means.

Really sit down and read Romans 6, or Colossians 3:1-17, or Galatians 5:11-25. You have to account for such Passages as these into your message, or your message is false.

Do you actually think repentance is just repentance from unbelief???

2 Corinthians 12:20-21 (WEB)
20 For I am afraid that by any means, when I come, I might find you not the way I want to, and that I might be found by you as you don’t desire, that by any means there would be strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, whisperings, proud thoughts, or riots, 21 that again when I come my God would humble me before you, and I would mourn for many of those who have sinned before now, and not repented of the uncleanness, sexual immorality, and lustfulness which they committed.

Revelation 3:1-5 (WEB)
1 “I know your works; in that, you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up and keep the things that remain, which you were about to throw away, for I have found no works of yours perfected before my God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If therefore you will not watch, I will come as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 Nevertheless you have a few names in Sardis that did not defile their garments. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

The entire New Testament, including the Gospels, teaches the same thing about the faith of the Gospel – which is repentance onto a sanctified life onto God. That is salvation by which God gives us eternal life.

Romans 6:21-22 (NIV) 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

How do you receive God's Spirit to give you life?

Acts 5:32 (WEB) 32 We are His witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.

Acts 2:38 (WEB) 38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-17 (WEB). . . 15 If you love me, keep my commandments. 16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: 17 the Spirit of truth

John 14:23 (WEB) 23 Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.

If you are sinning and confessing then you are not obeying the doctrine of the NT, given by Paul who told you to leave the baby stage , the carnal christian stage, and grow up, Spiritually.
Paul teaches that you are to "leave the first principals of faith, which is the repentance from dead works'..
(confessing sin ).
Hebrews 6:1.

We the born again, are not to live in that carnal stage of "sinning and confessing".
We are to move on, working out our salvation, Growing in Grace,= understanding who we are made to be "in Christ".
We are not to exist on the tit, on the milk bottle, and saved 10 yrs, or even 3.
We are to understand the basic principle of the doctrine of Justification by faith, and get past the "what im to do to try to save myself", diaper state of carnal Christianity, and move into the "it is Christ who lives in me", "it is not i who live"....perfected discipleship stage, that is the "fullness of the stature of Christ.
We are to arrive there in our Spirituality, not after we die, but while we are on this earth.

God sees faith in Christ, in the sinner's heart, when they hear the Gospel, and "faith comes by hearing", and God accepts this faith to give them the BLood Atonement and the new Birth = born again.

According to the New Testament Gospel, the adult stage is to live holy lives onto God.

1 Peter 1:13-18 (WEB)
13 Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ— 14 as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance, 15 but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior; 16 because it is written, “You shall be holy; for I am holy.” [Leviticus 11:44-45 17] If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear, 18 knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers

Romans 6:19-23 (NIV)
Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 5:11-16 (WEB) 11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light. 14 Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” 15 Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Hebrews 6:1.

Okay, so you say a Christian does not continue in sin.

Good.

You also quote Hebrews 6:1 showing we are not to again repent of sins, because we have already repented of our sins, and now are Spiritual.

Good.

What if a Christian does turn back into living in sin, is he still saved? Not according to Hebrews 1, which you quoted.

Here is the context of Hebrews 1 - you tell me what it means to you.

Hebrews 6:1-6 (WEB)
1 Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfectionnot laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, 2 of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 This will we do, if God permits. 4 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.

According to the New Testament Gospel, the adult stage is to live holy lives onto God.
.

Peter is a good apostle, but Paul is your example regarding how to perfect your discipleship.
The "adult stage" of Christian Spirituality, is to exist as "perfect", "as the fullness of the stature of Christ".

This is beyond lifestyle that you are describing.

Also, the born again, begin as the righteousness of God.
The born again, START their Salvation, as "the righteousness of God, in Christ".
So, you can't become more HOLY< then God's Righteousness that is "the gift of righteousness" that is "the gift of Salvation".

The blood atonement, never ceases to keep the born again as sinless as God's Blood.

The discipleship you are talking about, never becomes perfected until the believer learns to rest in the Grace of God, vs, trying to live holy.

The blood atonement only cleanses from all sin those who, by faith, are walking in the light.

1 John 1:6-9 (WEB) 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not tell the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 2:4-6 (WEB)
4 One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.
5 But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word.
This is how we know that we are in him: 6 he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.

Are you saying that Paul teaches differently than Peter or John?

You did not answer one question I gave you, and I only gave you two questions to answer.

I will say this, if your doctrine does not harmonize with ALL the NT Gospel, then you have to check yourself to see if you are really teaching the Gospel of the NT.

Paul wrote and taught the same message of the Gospel that Peter wrote and taught. They are in complete harmony.

For instance, read the following from the Apostle Paul - although I can give you far more than these. But at the top of my head I list these for you:
  • Romans 6
  • 1 Corinthians 10:1-12
  • Colossians 3:1-11
  • Galatians 5:11-23
  • Galatians 6:7-9
Ephesians 5:3-9 (WEB)
5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, 9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

What if a Christian does turn back into living in sin, is he still saved?

Did you remain saved all the times you confessed your sin, again?

So, here is the problem with self saving theology.
It fails as soon as you have to admit you sinned again, and had to confess it.

Here is the reality.

Eternal life is not temporary.
You can never stop being born again.
The same blood of Jesus that saved you, keeps you saved, for as long as God lives.

Anything you can come up with as a "sin", including..>>"well that person hates God now, and they said Christ is the devil".., so are they still born again. ????

Of course.

See, sin is never charged again to the born again., because God has already died for the sin of the world.
God does not die on the Cross for your sin, to then charge you for your sin later.

Think on that, and then Romans 4:8, will become Light to you.

Again, those verses those say that being trained by grace to do those things follows our salvation,

If Grace is always training salvation, then why are there so many denominations and so many found on Christian forums, who can't even discuss Grace, or understand why God's Blood is Salvation, and its not them trying to keep laws and commandments, and endure to the end, trying to save themselves. ?

See the issue with your theology?

You don't answer my questions, but I will answer yours.

Those Christians who turn back to live in any sin will be disowned by Lord Jesus and will be judged worse than an un-believer.

Hebrews 10:29-30 (WEB) 29 How much worse punishment do you think he will be judged worthy of who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me. I will repay,” says the Lord. [Deuteronomy 32:35] Again, “The Lord will judge HIS people.” [Deuteronomy 32:36; Psalm 135:14]

If, as follower of Lord Jesus, living a holy life before Him, you sin in weakness, or were deceived to sin, and repent of it, God forgives.

1 John 2:1-6 (WEB)
2 My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. 2 And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. 3 This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. 4 One who says,I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him. 5 But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him: 6 he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.

So, here is the problem with self saving theology.
It fails as soon as you have to admit you sinned again, and had to confess it.

What you call a "self-serving theology" the New Testament calls "FAITH."

If you really had accepted the Scriptures you would know what it means to have faith in Lord Jesus.

Matthew 10:38 (WEB) 38 He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.

Luke 14:33-35 (WEB) 33 So therefore whoever of you who does not renounce all that he has, he cannot be my disciple. 34 Salt is good, but if the salt becomes flat and tasteless, with what do you season it? 35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. It is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Here is the reality.

Eternal life is not temporary.
You can never stop being born again.
The same blood of Jesus that saved you, keeps you saved, for as long as God lives.

So you say, but not as the Scriptures say.

Hebrews 4:1 (WEB)
Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

Hebrews 4:11 (WEB)
11 Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that Rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

Hebrews 3:13-15 (WEB)
13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end, 15 while it is said,
Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” [Psalm 95:7-8]

Hebrews 10:35-38 (WEB)
35 Therefore do not throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. 36 For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise

1 Timothy 4:16 (WEB)
16 Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

Matthew 24:11-13 (WEB) Speaking to His followers
11 Many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray. 12 Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Luke 21:19 (WEB) 19 “By your endurance you will win your lives."

Romans 8:16 (WEB) 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; 17 and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

Galatians 6:9 (WEB) 9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up.

1 Timothy 6:18-21 (WEB)
18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share; 19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

James 1:12-16 (WEB)
12 Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

2 Peter 1:10-11 (WEB)
10 Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For IF you do these things, you will never stumble. 11 For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3:11-12 (WEB)
11 I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.

Revelation 21:7 (WEB)
7 He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.

Anything you can come up with as a "sin", including..>>"well that person hates God now, and they said Christ is the devil".., so are they still born again. ????

You must continue in the faith, following Lord Jesus, to remain in God's love.

Of course.

See, sin is never charged again to the born again., because God has already died for the sin of the world.
God does not die on the Cross for your sin, to then charge you for your sin later.

Think on that, and then Romans 4:8, will become Light to you.

God only saves those who believe (continuous) to the end.

9 receiving the end of your faith -- salvation of souls

If Grace is always training salvation

Yes, this is to be continued until the end of our lives. That is the Gospel of Salvation.

Titus 2:11-12 (WEB)
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age

Ephesians 4:21-24 (WEB)
21 if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

1 Timothy 1:18-20 (WEB)18 I commit this instruction to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which were given to you before, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 holding faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away made a shipwreck concerning the faith

God's Word remains true, but because of the pride of man, men will reject and deny God's whole Gospel so they can hold onto their doctrine of demons.

Jude 3-4 (WEB) 3 Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into indecency, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.
