This was presented in the post as Biden handing his wife a "dead" dandelion. I thought that was dumb because any cut flower is "dead" and few people would pot up a dandelion weed, but this isn't even that - it is the dandelion seed head which aren't dead but full of potential life (much to the distress of lawn keepers).
Definitely slop. He was walking to the exit, she took his hand at one point then dropped it again - at no point did he change direction or wander aimlessly.
Video no longer available - were you confused when you posted this bad link?
He did lose his train of thought but realized that and did not spew word salad, unlike the former WH occupant.
Seriously? He fumbled the intro at one point but never appeared to confuse his granddaughter with her father as is very evident in the context - he was introducing Beau Biden's children, one after the other.
Yeah, he mixed up Syria and Lybia but, and this is important, he does know who, what and where they are.

Ah baloney.

He is old and we all knew that when we elected him. Speakers use notes, duh. It bears watching, I agree, but I don't believe he is doddering yet.

Projection.

However, I would support instituting a procedure whereby presidents and vice presidents can be evaluated for mental competency by professionals. Something a bit more strenuous than being able to recognize a drawing of an elephant or being able to recite 5 words back in order.

Lots of excuses. Probably based upon your ideological position.

Are you kidding about mental competency testing? Do you realize what kind of pressure they would be under? If the powers to be wanted the person in, there would be so much pressure on the evaluator (s) that only a fool would go against the pressure. They would be destroyed. And I don't think it would matter who was in power.

Congress would need to decide that. And Biden isn't bad enough yet to get through such a thing. He's being heavily protected and it will have to come to some shocking incidents that can't be overlooked or excused for it to happen. I fully expect Biden to remain in the presidency his full four years, but have less and less public appearances and such to keep him from revealing just how bad he is to the public.

I don't think he lost his train of thought. I think he realized he was about to take too much time and going into too much detail so he cut to the chase about the Senate vote and the filibuster.

No he lost his train of thought. He does it often enough that it can't be excused as a one off.

Especially when you compare him now to speeches from 1990s and 2000s (which he then too had his actual stutter). There is a clear and stark contrast.

Curiously, Vladimir Putin (age 68) doesn't seem to share the op's assessment....

"Biden is a professional, and you need to work very carefully with him so as not to miss something," Putin told reporters Thursday—a day after they met in the neutral site of Geneva, Russian state-owned media TASS reported. "He himself does not miss anything, I assure you. It was completely obvious to me."

Vladimir Putin says Joe Biden is "intelligent, collected, does not miss a thing"

Putin called former President Donald Trump is an "extraordinary talented individual,"

He doesn't share the assessment of the Media nor a whole lot of people here on CF.

Hmmm......

He may have trying to be sarcastic. Either that, or trying to lull Biden into complacency.

If Biden is a doddering old fool who can't remember things, why would he need to be lulled into complacency? Your argument doesn't make sense based on the OP.

Except that even if Biden is fooled (and by all accounts, he's not), his cabinet wouldn't be.

Remember: as novel as it seems, Biden does not surround himself with sniveling yes-men.... he listens to people around him.

I don't think it is good thing Biden's mental decline is not reported in mainstream Australian Media.

I am also really surprised that Americans don't compare both Trump and Biden to Eisenhower and try work out where things went horribly wrong

It seems that you haven't asked yourself why this so-called problem is only reported in right wing American news outlets. Maybe the Russians can't be bothered trying to convince Australians.

I'd forgotten about Sky. And yeah, it's effectively an offshoot of Fox. With word on the street that it will actually be rebranded as Fox News. Sky News to rebrand as Fox News. It actually comes with my Foxtel package.

It seems to be Murdoch's mission to spread right wing propaganda and mis-information across the world. ...Because it has worked out so well in USA.

Someone has to look out for the preservation of America, and the left wing news outlets don't seem interested in doing that.

Someone has to look out for the preservation of white America.

Just though I'd fix that for you. After all, that's what the right actually wants.

I think it is too late for America, It was exceptional because it is pretty much the only example of a successful revolution and it did not have a large section of the population embrace communism, but voting in Trump is way beyond pathetic.

Indeed -- the left wing seems more interested in truth.
