I've told many people I went to high school with (16~ years ago) who pretend to be offended by things now that I know exactly the sort of things you were saying in your past. I think it's true for most of these people that at some point, they too were telling the jokes and in some cases using the big bad words that they now pretend to have always been offended by; but not a single one of them will ever admit it until it shows up in writing (i.e. past social media posts) and then they get to pretend some more by faking a sincere apology.

I'm so embarrassed that hag is from my home area, not because of her tweet but because of her current activism. You just know she's going to apologize and gravel and do the whole phony "I'm sorry this isn't who I am" spiel.
Generally speaking, I can't stress enough how dumb it is that people are trying to condemn people for things they said or did over a decade ago. If I'm ever in a position where something like that could affect me, and then someone digs up something I said or did from my youth that they don't like, I'll just tell them to go make it with a goat cause I can't care less what they think. I definitely won't be apologizing to any group for anything, ever.

I think we all have said things we shouldn’t have, things that are inappropriate . We all have prejudice and stereotype. We all fall short. But people like Megan Rapinoe who run around virtue signaling and looking to cancel anyone who disagrees with their lifestyle deserve the wake up call when the firing squad turns on them.

I was rather surprised when she came out in favor of allowing transgender men to play women's soccer. As good as our women's national team is, when they want a tune up game they sometimes play top high school boy's teams. The kicker is that they lose as many as they win of these friendlies. It seems that someone who wants to preserve the rights of women to play soccer would not be in favor of diluting that game with transgender men.
