The war on drugs took its toll, yea, verily.

Always putting the blame on something to insure that Black Americans remain victims. Thankfully not all Black Americans falls for such weakness. But for those who do, I blame people like you who encourage Black Americans to remain helpless victims. Unlike all other ethnicities, the Black American is continually being brainwashed by others that they are helpless victims.

Always using racist arguments about Black Americans based on what you saw as a correctional officer, that is simply a racist application. Complaining about people for pointing out racism and then making broad statements about Black people isn't a good look.

Your argument lacks any substance. So, no need to reply.

All your posts in this thread have been nothing more than statements that are inaccurate at best and racist at worst. The OP spoke of faith, and this entire thread you have tried to make it about "black crime."It is as if seeing black made you want to derail the thread because it was something positive.

So you say. Any reader of the posts know what was said. No need for me to reply to illogical arguments from those who are doing their best to keep our Black Americans captive to a "victim" ideology that prevents Black Americans from succeeding.

Any readers of your posts in this thread can see that you questioned the faith of Black people and argued that they are not "true Christians." They see the irony of someone professing Christian faith while judging the faith of others, as if they are some authority. They see the misuse of statistics that reinforces a racial stereotype that has been disproven. Likewise, they see the same arguments that have been made to denigrate Black people since the 1870s; whenever there is something positive or humanizing about Black people, there are those that seek to malign and attack Black people.

Repeating victim over and over again is useless because no one is calling anyone a victim. Pointing out the inaccurate and at worst racist assumptions about Black people is not "victim." Rather than welcoming others in Christian fellowship, we're seeing people being cast as unworthy based on their skin color. You have had several Black people replying to this thread, and rather than listen to them, you question their faith. You may claim, "I never questioned their faith," but when you talk about a population and say they're not really Christian, you are shamefully questioning the faith of every Christian Black person on this forum. Take that mess out of here.

Many are teaching a counterfeit Gospel message of easy believism that opposes all that Lord Jesus and the Apostles taught us about that one Gospel Faith by which we may possess a new life in Lord Jesus.

Ignoring the fact that the religion of which 79% of Black Americans is not translating into a new life in Lord Jesus is not helping. It's time to get our heads out of the sand and take a look at reality.

My message is one of shedding light on that reality, but you want to hide it and keep Black Americans as victims.

The poor and disadvantaged make the best Christians, because they are empty and crushed in Spirit, the very ones Lord Jesus came to save.

And yet, if they are black, they seem to face some unreasonable scorn from some quarters.

As I have said, you are questioning the faith of others and you are neither in the position nor have the authority to judge the moral character of others.

It's more prosperity gospel garbage where supply side Jesus is the one to be worshipped.

I am certainly questioning the faith of others based on the fruit they bear.

By the authority of Lord Jesus, and His Apostles, I have every right to do so, so that they may come to an accurate knowledge of the faith and so be saved.

Matthew 7:15-22 (NIV)
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Galatians 5:19-25 (NIV)
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Thessalonians 3:10-15 (NIV)

10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. 13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
14 Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed. 15 Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.

So do Jews, Asians, Christians, and others receive unreasonable scorn. Yet, do you see Jews, Asians, Christians, and others playing the victim card as an escape from responsibility to live decent and moral lives? People only paint Black Americans as helpless victims.

So you say. Thankfully, I have a choice whom I follow. I will follow Lord Jesus, Sir SummerMadness.

Plus, I never judge anyone. That is a false statement.

The topic regards the religion of Black Americans. When 79% claim to be Christians, with over 75% claiming to be very religious, yet, 1 in 4 Black Americans find their way into Prison, and 66% of Black American families are single parent with children, we have to question the authenticity of the faith that Black Americans claim.

My point is that something is wrong with the "faith" being promoted to Black Americans, because a true Faith in Lord Jesus produces a new life in Christ.

We need to make sure the Black American community is being given the true Gospel of Lord Jesus.

And that has to be because they're not faithful enough? It couldn't possibly be due to any other factors?

A genuine Gospel Faith overcomes worldly obstacles, living decent, moral lives in a sinful world.

Romans 6:19-23 (NIV)
Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Galatians 5:24-25 (WEB)
24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit

Titus 2:11-12 (WEB)
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age

1 John 1:6-7 (WEB)
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not tell the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Ephesians 4:20-24 (WEB)
20 But you didn’t learn Christ that way, 21 if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

A dangerously naive assumption.
