Was the Crucifixion really on a Friday?

Okay, now defend that position.

Why is it wrong?

Happy you asked. Look in the screenshot below. The moon will raise on the night of April 12:

That moon is announcing the next day as the 14th of the month so the next day or April 13th is the 14th of the month. But it isn't Nissan but rather Iyar.

Also, here is the moon that occurred on the 15th of that month (your April 14).

The fact that I'm showing an eclipse there tells that was the 15th. The Hebrew calendar in most of these calculators starts the first day of the MONTH on the first sliver when the 1st day is actually supposed to be the New Moon day. Those calculators that based that count that way are wrong.

No that is not what the text says. The lamb is to be TAKEN from the sheep or the goats and KEPT. Nothing in the verse says to be inspected.

One for each household. Sacrifices were inspected...so they were "without blemish"

I pointed out he was WRONG and that is about those that are Christians and when we believe the Sabbath's took place according to the Lunar Calendar. And since I already quoted previously that Philo was a Rabbi that taught the phases of the moon establishs the Sabbaths, I would surely appeal to him than some modern Rabbi regarding Judaism in the first century AD.

But he is not wrong. The moon was created on the 4th day while the Sabbath was instituted on the 7th day. So a lunar Sabbath would be 3 days after the new moon...so you are wrong

Heavens and the earth were created in the first verse.

You don't get it do you. The scripture relating the eyewitness account on the road to Emmaus IS IN scripture....that are there for a reason...and it proves a Wednesday crucifixion impossible

That event was on the first day of the week (Sunday) when Jesus had risen. It thus agrees with the link I posted from Bullinger.

Again, nothing in the verse says to be inspected. It says to TAKE and be KEPT.
How were they supposed to know it was without blemish unless they inspected it? What if they didn't inspect the lamb they selected and it had a blemish?

That is a red herring. the verses in questions don't say anything about inspecting it. They say to TAKE it and have it KEPT. That is the apprehension and confinement. Jesus couldn't be at large after the 10th because He was confined. This is what most of you don't get.

Everyone who has studied the topic of the Crucifixion has heard that Christ was crucified on a Friday. I'm not disputing that as I don't have enough information to dispute it.

However, the often accepted date is Friday April 3rd of 33 AD (Juilian).

The problem with that date is that Friday of April 3rd is NOT the 14th day of the month per true reckoning of the Lunar month.

That day would actually be the 15th day of the Month if that Lunar month is regarded as the first month of the year.

Although many calendars will reference that Friday (Apr 3rd , 33AD) as the 14th of Nissan, it is in error.

Consider the following:

A Biblical Jewish day began when Night came and ended with the Evening hours completed. So we have:

Night - Morning - Day - Evening

Now they observed the days per a Lunar Calendar. The moon has its morning (beginning) when the sun has set. This means the sign of the moon that rises with the oncoming Night is the indicator of the beginning of the RESPECTIVE Day of the Month.

The first SLIVER of Light that the month incurred BEGAN the night of 3/20/33. That was the commencement of the 2nd Day of the Month and the 1st day of the week. Now consider that the Passover is actually on the 14th day of the Month and you will find that the 14th day actually begins the night of 4/1.

This means if Passover occurred that month - it would have been on the Day of 4/2 which is a Thursday and not a Friday crucifixion.

This is WHY KNOWING when a Day begins and ends is very important to getting it right.

In the case of the Passion week. The passover is sacrificed on the 14th day of the MONTH, This day is ALWAYS before the Feast of Unleavened Bread which is ALWAYS a Sabbath Day. So yes, that information above is correct as they often referred to the first Day of Unleavened Bread as the Passover feast or the Passover meal, as they did certainly eat the meal the night of the Feast Day.
Jesus died on the 15th not the 14th. He gave bread for his body, and wine for his blood for our passover on the 14th.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

Those concern sacrifices brought to God, to be offered on his altar. But nothing is said about the passover sacrifice for the people to eat.

We know that they were. Also how, without inspecting them, would you know they will be without blemish??

Heavens and the earth were created in the first verse.

Yet it says that the moon was for signs on the 4th day...

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

But that is not what was done in 2nd Temple Judaism. The lambs were inspected for faults by the Rabbis, bought and cared for (for 4 days) until the 14th when they were sacrificed (Mishnah Pesakhim). Quit making things up...
