In a new low, 21 republican congressmen voted against honoring the police who protected their lives against the insurrectionists on Jan 6.

The stated purpose of HR 3325 seemed pretty uncontroversial: "To award four congressional gold medals to the United States Capitol Police and those who protected the US Capitol on January 6, 2021."

Shameful. I suppose the good news is that most republicans voted for it, even if it may have angered the QAnon people who now control the republican party. Give them some credit for backbone and integrity.

Explain how none of those 10000 people arrested for participating in BLM riots were BLM.
You just keep pointing to a few scattered cases where white supremacists committed violence and ignoring the elephant in the room.

All I'm asking you to do, is show us that there were some BLM rioters. I've repeatedly shown you evidence that white supremacists were killing police, rioting, and vandalizing property in attempts to blame BLM. You should be able to show us at least one case of BLM members doing this.

tulc, who started it, was clearly pointing out that some people were defending it as something it wasn't. If you agree that there was [actually quite a lot of] violence, then you're right. There's nothing to discuss. It wasn't completely peaceful. Easy, huh?

The article tulc posted was a response to someone posting a video showing peaceful protesters, and saying that it showed a completely peaceful protest. I tend to think the guy actually meant that everyone in the video was completely peaceful, at least during the video. I'm dubious that he actually meant the protest was completely peaceful. I mean it's possible he meant the whole protest, but it seems unlikely to me. If he dug up that video, I'm sure he could find the videos showing violence.

Be that as it may, I was asking more if anyone in this thread was claiming it was completely peaceful.

Nope. Not one name. FBI and local police have rounded up hundreds of white nationalist/Trump supporters involved in rioting, killing police officers, and vandalism. Yet you can't name even one BLM member arrested for any of that. Why can't you?
