Interesting, but surely that "make our own nation" group is much the smaller of the two. (?)
I'm not sure. I lived in Idaho for 3 years. The mainstream Republicans there would be considered right wing most places, and these upstarts are even more to the right. And there are a lot of them.

The idea still seems rather tame when compared with all the violent, 'hate America,' destructive groups that have been committing crimes.

So I guess federalism is dead then. Why shouldn't Idaho be able to decide what it's education policy should be?

Of course the state can do that. As long as it doesn’t violate any federal law or court ruling.

What it definitely can’t do is confiscate federal property. Or violate federal civil rights or voting rights laws. It can’t allow it’s businesses to ignore federal environmental regulations (without a waiver) and fair employment laws. It can’t deny marriage licenses to same sex couples, or act in any way that impugns the constitutional rights of it’s citizens.

They want to return states rights in this nation which their rights as citizens are not taken away by Washington politicians they did not vote for. Do you get that? Our votes need to matter.

Then—by legal means—work to elect members of Congress and a President who share that vision. Don’t act like left-wing hotheads. Use reasoned and rational arguments to support your positions. Not crazy trash talk about stolen elections. And baby eating, blood drinking conspirators who’ll take everyone’s guns away, close all the churches, and overrun the country with drug-dealing foreigners. Sadly, there’s a crackpot fringe on the far right who actually believe this claptrap.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The dream world for Idaho’s ascendant far right is one where state lawmakers run a sovereign nation-state free of federal oversight. It would be a place where they can outlaw all abortions, dictate what is taught in schools, have complete say over public health rules and gun laws, and take control of federal public lands, which make up more than 60% of the state...

Far-right Idaho Republicans battle to control party, state

I’ve never been to Idaho. It sounds like a political insane asylum. Do these far right wing-nuts really think they can become a sovereign nation-state, confiscate federal land, and reject all federal regulations?

Looks like Idaho has more than just potatoes buried in the ground. Like their brains, too.
The danger of any one group having all the power is CORUPTION!!! Which group can be immune???

A law banning all abortion runs counter to current rulings and will be struck down unless they are over turned. Pretending this is not the case does not make it so.
Giving the states the right to decide these things is what needs to be done.
the current ruling takes away states rights.

No, there isn't. There's no one who advocates the list you've given us. And that's part of the problem--one side or any side on the political scene grossly overstating what the other side wants or has advocated.

No. We as citizens in this country should not have our states right taken away. Who is president and and who is congress should have no power to take that away. That is the problem right now. If it continues to grow, we may as well not even have states, nor a senate.

Left swing hot heads?

Yeah plenty of clap trap on many sides. Just allow each state their right, and let their representatives represent them fully. Not Washington D.C.

The whole point of the Supremacy Clause is that the Constitution overrides states rights.
This decision should be left to the states as it infringes upon individual rights. Nobody should be forced to go against their conscience to fund abortion even up to birth and that is what it comes to. Nobodies right to abortion is taken away in this nation if they can secure one in another state.

Why then were those who opposed it due to their religious conscience denied by that decision? Why push it further up until birth?

I am not really sure what you are asking? People oppose the Roe ruling on religious grounds therefore its just not a thing?

Just like no ones first amendment rights are violated so long as they can drive to another state to practice a religion banned in their home state.

So do many things.
Nobody should be forced to go against their conscience to fund abortion even up to birth and that is what it comes to.
Nobody is, at least on the federal level. ABortion can be still restricted after the point of viability.
Nobodies right to abortion is taken away in this nation if they can secure one in another state.
"You have certain rights. Just not in the whole country" Yeah, that's not how it works.

You seem to have missed my point completely. I’m obviously talking about QAnon. Of course, no sane person promotes or advocates what QAnon is accused of doing. But there is a far right fringe who are convinced that the QAnon conspiracy actually exists. That Republican House rep from GA apparently took QAnon seriously. (She later backtracked, saying she was “allowed to believe” things that weren’t true. What does that mean?) But that’s what I’m talking about. Don’t be duped by this brain rot. Anyone who truly, sincerely believes this lunatic conspiracy theory needs prompt psychiatric help.

On the contrary, it was a simple follow-up question. You said that certain people who believe certain things are a threat, and I asked whom you were referring to specifically.

I’m obviously talking about QAnon. Of course, no sane person promotes or advocates what QAnon is accused of doing.
Then does QAnon advocate "baby eating" and "blood drinking?" That seems pretty extreme, if true. But it is true? And if it's true, how many people are we talking about?

QAnon is the name given to an imagined secret cabal of evil-doers. Members are accused of being Satanist pedophiles who cannibalize babies and drink their blood. Hillary Clinton is claimed to be a prominent member. Along with other liberals. In reality, QAnon is just a bizarre fabrication that has suckered in gullible believers through the internet. And there is, unfortunately, an element of people (mostly conservatives) who think it really exists. The GA congresswoman I mentioned was one. As was that “QAnon shaman” buffoon who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, in face paint and wearing a bison head fur with horns.

The link has more details. It says believers number in the thousands.
