No, the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6 wasn’t a ‘completely peaceful protest’

Sounds unlikely, but if you have "plenty" of actual BLM members who did so, now would be a good time to get real. What do you have?

Undercover white supremacists are to blame for the riots that took place during the Black Lives Matter protests in Richmond, Virginia, according to Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney.
...
Richmond Police Chief Gerald Smith said he thinks the instigators were linked to the Boogaloo boys, a right-wing anarchist group
...
Stoney thanked the Black Lives Matter protesters who remained peaceful and did not follow the lead of the instigators.

"As I began with, I want to send a thanks to the BLM protesters on the ground who decried the white supremacists once they were identified. I'm thankful to you for drawing the line and sticking up not just for the sanctity of your movement, but also the safety of your fellow Richmonders that you marched alongside as well," he said.
White supremacists disguised as Black Lives Matter supporters triggered riots, Richmond mayor says

It is true that Black Lives Matter protesters in Louisville protected a police officer who was alone, according to the Louisville Courier Journal, part of the USA TODAY Network.

The officer, Galen Hinshaw, was responding to another officer’s call for help over the radio, when he found himself alone in a crowd of protesters. He backed up against a wall and stopped to reassess the situation, when some protesters moved closer and started to shout at him.

As Hinshaw was scanning the crowd for weapons and waiting for help, a protester in a red University of Louisville mask stepped in front of him and the closest protester. Another protester, local entrepreneur Darrin Lee Jr., linked arms with the man in the red mask.

“Once I saw the guy with the red mask step up, I said, 'I gotta step up,'” Lee told the Courier Journal. “It was reactive. I just went.”

More protesters joined to form a barricade around Hinshaw until other officers arrived.

“Those guys, they saved me,” Hinshaw told the Courier Journal. “There’s no doubt about it.”

Fact check: Louisville BLM protesters 'saved' a lone police officer

There's a lot more of that. Would you like to see more? Seeing as even Barr couldn't find evidence for your assumption, I'm thinking you're not going find much.
Lol, I saw the footage from multiple riots...I saw all the young black men doing violence and the antifa violence. Go snow someone else.

So nothing but unsupported anecdotes? Do you see now, why people aren't buying that story? Do you have any evidence whatever that BLM did any of that? Anything?

Or, is it just "I saw some black people doing stuff, so they must be BLM?"

Notice that law enforcement people have lots of evidence of Trump supporters attacking police, vandalizing and otherwise rioting. Over 500 arrested so far. And you can't find one BLM member so arrested?

Isn't that kind of a wake-up call for you?

There were thosands arrested.

Then it shouldn't be hard for you to document say, a dozen of them as BLM members. It wasn't hard to show that many of them were right-wingers and/or white supremacists. I can show you again, if you like. What do you have to show that many of them were members of BLM?

What planet are you living on?

On my planet, people who make claims are asked to support them with evidence. When someone repeatedly refuses to do that, other people start to wonder, and draw conclusions.

What makes one a BLM member? Do they carry cards?
If someone was arrested in a BLM riot as thosands were, they were BLM members unless proven otherwise.
Happened night after night in Portland for months.

So you just assume that they were? You don't even know how to identify them? And yet, you're telling us that thousands of them were arrested, with no evidence whatsoever.

If someone was arrested in a BLM riot as thosands were, they were BLM members unless proven otherwise.

As you learned, many white supremacists and other radicals opposed to BLM were arrested in connection with those riots. Not just speculation, but documented by FBI and other law enforcement people.

On the other hand, those hundreds of Trump insurrectionists who were arrested have been positively identified as Trump supporters, white supremacists, and/or other far-right extremists.

When you get that kind of evidence for your assumptions, come on back and we'll have a look at it. On my planet, people who make claims are asked to support them with evidence. When someone repeatedly refuses to do that, other people start to wonder, and draw conclusions.

Good luck.

Well since you would not accept any evidence of someone being a BLM member since they don't officially exist, you can just pretend that everyone arrested at a BLM riot, carrying BLM signs and breaking and burning and looting and throwing objects at cops is not BLM even though they say they are.
If you want to live in that delusion, that's your right I suppose.

First, you've offered no evidence, just "If someone was arrested in a BLM riot as thosands were, they were BLM members unless proven otherwise. " On my planet, evidence is required.

Second, unlike antifa, they do officially exist. They have an organization, designated leaders, etc.

This isn't going well for you right now. Maybe we should hold this conversation to give you a chance to review everything and get it right.

you can just pretend that everyone arrested at a BLM riot, carrying BLM signs and breaking and burning and looting and throwing objects at cops is not BLM even though they say they are.

Sorry, that won't work for you, either. Police are on to those guys:

The mayor blamed white supremacists “marching under the banner of Black Lives Matter” for corrupting the peaceful social justice movement.

“We’ve spoken on many occasions about those who’ve chosen a more violent route to express their discontent, and what that does for the overall movement towards social justice,” Stoney said. “Last night that reared its ugly head right here in the City of Richmond… We saw some violent actions, violent protests, spearheaded by white supremacists. And frankly, it was disgusting. Disgusting. As they held plywood shields that read, BLM, these folks toured areas of damage downtown, The Fan, breaking windows, tagging private property with hateful language.”

Stoney said Saturday’s riot aimed to undermine the month of peaceful, community-driven protest in Richmond.

“As I began with, I want to send a thanks to the BLM protesters on the ground who decried the white supremacists once they were identified.
Richmond Police Claim White Supremacists Behind BLM Riots

It probably seemed like a clever deception to those right-wing terrorists. But police figured it out pretty quickly. The deception fell apart because BLM leaders identified the white supremacist instigators and tipped of the police. The attempt to riot and blame BLM failed.

If you want to live in that delusion, that's your right I suppose.

White supremacists are still trying to peddle those stories, though:

Police Slap Down Josh Hawley's Claim Antifa Terrorized His Family
Police have contradicted a claim from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) that his family were violently "terrorized" by "Antifa" protesters outside his home on Monday night.

After a small group of protesters demonstrated against Hawley's plans to objection to the certification of President-elect Joe Biden in Congress, the senator reacted with outrage on social media. Hawley tweeted that "Antifa scumbags came to our place in DC and threatened my wife and newborn daughter," while he was away on a trip to Missouri, claiming that the group had "screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door."
...
Officers arrived at the Vienna, Virginia house around 7:45 p.m. after receiving a call about the protest, according to the Associated Press. Police apparently viewed the protest differently than the 41-year-old senator, with Master Police Officer Juan Vazquez, spokesman for the Town of Vienna's Police Department, telling the outlet on Tuesday that "people were peaceful" during the protest.

Vazquez added that the protesters "just left" after officers informed them about an ordinance against making noise in front of houses and littering code. He said that the demonstration had produced "no issues, no arrests" and, contrary to Hawley's characterization, police "didn't think it was that big of a deal."

This is Hawley's idea of a "peaceful protest":

Meantime, the arrests of the "peaceful Trump supporters" continues as the FBI reviews all the video evidence. No sign of a let-up now.

And they can't let up. In March, police uncovered another attempt in the planning:

March 3
Capitol Police say they uncovered a potential plot by a militia group to breach the U.S. Capitol today. This comes just short of two months since the January 6 insurrection where white supremacists, police officers, members of the military and politicians stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s presidential victory. Some of these same folks are apparently back at it again. This time, Donald Trump supporters believe March 4 marks a day where Trump, the twice impeached president, will rise to power for a second time. Their reasoning presumably has something to do with the fact that, up until 1933, March 4 was Inauguration Day.
Delusional Insurrectionists Just Won’t Stop

This isn't something that's going to go away soon. They've given up on getting what they want by peaceful means; they know the lost public opinion. Now, they're turning to violence and terror.

Yet in your world all those people carrying BLM signs enchanting BLM slogans were actually white supremacists. You really should go to therapy for your delusions.

Over 500 Trump supporters arrested for their crimes in the Insurrection, and in BLM protests. Can't get much more real than that.

I've shown you that law enforcement has arrested a large number of white supremacists and other right-wing terrorists. But for some reason, you're very reluctant to show us any arrests of BLM members. I think I know why.

Yet in your world all those people carrying BLM signs enchanting BLM slogans were actually white supremacists.

According to the police, white supremacists were doing that in an attempt to blame BLM for the things they were doing.

I'm thinking that they are better sources than you are, particularly since appear to have no evidence whatever for your beliefs.

10000 people, many of them black, all white supremacists in your little fantasy world...

If you feel that you have to make up a foolish claim and pretend I made it, that's a pretty good indicator of how badly your argument failed.

rotflmao.

Not just me, a lot of others reading your post. Still can't find even one BLM member who took part in the rioting, while the police and FBI caught many white surpemacists rioting, killing police, and vandalizing property? There's probably a good reason for that.

Why not just take a break and try to find some evidence for your beliefs? Then, if you find some, come on back and show us.

(Sound of goal posts being frantically re-positioned)

And white supremists, many of them disguised as black men and women took over two blocks of Portland last Summer!

Don't remember BLM involved in that. Is it possible that for you "BLM" just means "those people?" Or perhaps you're thinking of Minneapolis...

A masked man who was seen in a viral video smashing the windows of a south Minneapolis auto parts store during the George Floyd protests, earning him the moniker "Umbrella Man," is suspected of ties with a white supremacist group and sought to incite racial tension, police said.

A Minneapolis police arson investigator said the act of vandalism at the AutoZone on E. Lake Street helped spark a chain reaction that led to days of looting and rioting. The store was among dozens of buildings across the city that burned to the ground in the days that followed.

"This was the first fire that set off a string of fires and looting throughout the precinct and the rest of the city," Sgt. Erika Christensen wrote in a search warrant affidavit filed in court this week. "Until the actions of the person your affiant has been calling 'Umbrella Man,' the protests had been relatively peaceful. The actions of this person created an atmosphere of hostility and tension. Your affiant believes that this individual's sole aim was to incite violence."

Police identified "Umbrella Man" thanks to a tip that came via e-mail last week, Christensen said.

Minneapolis police say 'Umbrella Man' was a white supremacist trying to incite George Floyd rioting

It's like the ultimate conspiracy theory.

Fortunately, most white supremacists aren't very bright. So it wasn't hard for police and FBI to catch most of them.

But remember, it was Trump's people who attacked the capitol and assaulted police officers while vandalizing the seat of our government. So it's not surprising that they'd be committing terrorist acts in other places.

Dominic ‘Spazzo’ Pezzola was allegedly one of the first people to shatter a window at the Capitol, allowing rioters to stream inside and unlock doors.

Um, that was a news story,

No, you made up that part; you're upset that I called you out on misrepresenting what I said. Doubling down on it won't help you. I merely pointed out that many of those people arrested were found to be white supremacists, and you couldn't even name one BLM member arrested.

As you learned, police actually praised BLM organizers for stopping many of the right-wing rioters, and tipping them off to others.

Seven pages of this thread. Has anyone even made the argument that the Capitol riot was completely peaceful?

Here's a photo of the "completely peaceful Trump people" at the insurrection...

You and I have a different idea of what "completely peaceful" means. Normally, it wouldn't include beating a fallen police officer with clubs. Earlier that day, Trump told them to go to the Capitol and "fight like hell."

As you see, they followed his orders.

Where did I (or anybody else for that matter) say that the riot was completely peaceful?
