Hi all,
I've never been a long standing member of any forums. I tend to consume more than I contribute online. I don't know how often I'll post here because of that but I need healthier pages to browse day to day.
I'm quite new to faith. I entertained the idea of supernatural phenomena a few years ago. It was new and exciting but I was quickly disillusioned by the actual content I could find. Around that time I saw a "try praying" campaign and gave it ago. It was a slow start and I felt awkward about it but each time I tried I felt myself change. Sparing you my life story I eventually picked up a Bible and I've been reading it since.
As much as I want to commit myself to this I'm 28 now and that's been a long time to develop bad habits. I'm getting past them gradually but one thing I think I really need at this point is a safe place to explore ideas where I won't be continually disappointed or dragged down by what I see and read. I think that's mainly what I'll do here, read, and because of that I'm not sure there's much of a point in making an introduction. But I write personally as a habit and I feel that if I'm going to stay here for a while I should at least mark the occasion with a post and not be so rude as not to introduce myself.
So thanks for having me.
