The Son of God comes to give us an understanding. He comes to open up the Scriptures to our minds just as He did to the 2 disciples as they were going towards Emmaus. He was seen as a “stranger” to them as He will today in the eyes of many. The Son of man comes when we think not but we must always be ready....remembering to always let brotherly love continue.

He will come and give us an understanding and settle our arguing among each other over the many different private, earthly interpretations of the Bible.

What manner of communications are these that we have with one another as we “walk” and are “sad”….that is, ANGRY. The arguing over the interpretation of the Scriptures among men provoke anger with one another as we do not always see eye-to-eye as we “communicate” with one another.

Luke 24:17 KJV
(17) And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

The “Undercover Boss”….the ultimate Stranger…. comes to see if His servants continue to follow His commandment to have love for another even though His words will challenge our own thoughts and beliefs of what we think the Scriptures are saying.

Luke 24:27-29 KJV
(27) And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
(28) And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

The 2 disciples…our examples to follow…. did treat Jesus (the "Stranger") with brotherly love even though they did not immediately recognize Him. They did not contend with Him….with what He was saying. They were inviting….they were hospitable.

(29) But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

They did not forget to entertain a “stranger” in their journey. They did entertain His words….the “angels” of the Lord.

Hebrews 13:1-2 KJV
(1) Let brotherly love continue.
(2) Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

He appeared to “Simon”….which means “hearing”.

We shall HEAR the voice of the Lord as He comes to give us an understanding. Some will hear and do good towards what they hear while others will do evil in disagreement with what they will hear Him saying. We are to take heed on how we hear.

Luke 24:34-35 KJV
(34) Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
(35) And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

The 2 disciples did not keep the “breaking of bread”….the feast of brotherly love…with the leaven of “malice and wickedness” but with sincerity and truth. We must follow their example.

1 Corinthians 5:8 KJV
(8) Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Yet, some will hear His interpretation and be ashamed of Him and of His words (the “holy angels”).

Luke 9:26 KJV
(26) For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

His words shall challenge our own thoughts and beliefs of what the Bible is saying. The “rain” descends from Heaven….His words come from there….and the floods come and the winds blow.

His words will be challenging to our own thoughts and beliefs but we must remember to always have brotherly love…..having our house built upon a “rock”….upon Christ… as we do what He commanded us to do (have love for one another). The Spirit is like a great, mighty rushing "wind".

Matthew 7:24-27 KJV
(24) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
(25) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
(26) And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
(27) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Some will hear the Spirit and speak evil of what they hear. The "wind" drives them away like chaff. Let him who has an ear hear what the Spirit is saying.

Psalms 1:4 KJV
(4) The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

The Son of man comes in His own glory and in His Father’s and of the holy angels. Some will hear His voice and come forth and do good….glorifying the Father in Heaven. They will believe in what they hear the Son saying in the Spirit of Truth. They will pass from death unto life by doing so.

The “dead”….the” dead” in trespasses and sins in this earth….shall hear His voice. Those who shall truly “hear” the voice of the Son of God shall live as they will hear and believe and show forth their faith by doing His righteousness. They will be found putting on Christ (the white garment of His righteousness) at the hearing of His voice.

John 5:23-25 KJV
(23) That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
(24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
(25) Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

We hear His voice and believe and show forth our faith in Him. He makes us “alive” who were once “dead” in trespasses and sins when we “went to church” in our ignorance and argued with one another over earthly-understood doctrinal differences and judged others according to our denominational “handwriting of ordinances”…church dogmas that we thought were correct in our own minds.

Ephesians 2:1-2 KJV
(1) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins
(2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

We shall be able to “eat” of what He says to us via the Spirit of Truth as we confess that these are the “true sayings of God” that we hear Him speaking.

Revelation 19:9 KJV
(9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The Lord comes to open up the Word of God to our hearing ears. He speaks the “true sayings of God” and we are to confess that His words are the “faithful and true” Word of God that we hear.

Revelation 19:11-13 KJV
(11) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
(12) His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
(13) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

He comes as a “Light” into the world.

He comes to give us the “faithful and true” knowledge/ interpretation of the Word of God. This will not conform to what the private interpretations of earthly-minded men have been preaching to us for the last 2000 years. His words shall challenge our thinking…but we must remember to always have brotherly love…having our house built upon the “rock”. We who shall believe will not abide in darkness...in works of darkness: envy, strife, contentions, wrath... speaking a multiple number of words in these things.

John 12:44-50 KJV
(44) Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
(45) And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
(46) I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
(47)
And if any man hear my words,
and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

The words that He shall speak to us shall judge us if we reject Him and His words (the “angels”) with our own words of unbelief and rejection of what He speaks. He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. We must not respond to His words with evil things from the heart.

(48) He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

The Son of man comes in the glory of the Father. We will hear His words and we are to glorify God for His “faithful and true” words with praise and thanksgiving.

(49) For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
(50) And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

We are to confess that “these are the true sayings of God” of the “King of kings and the Lord of lords”. We are to glorify God in Heaven as such.

Revelation 19:16 KJV
(16) And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

He is God of heaven and the God of earth as His heavenly words supersede all of man’s private interpretations in this earth when we hear the voice of the Son of God who speaks from Heaven.

The “hand under” the thigh is the confession of our tongues (He is “King of kings and Lord of lords)….the oath….as we put on His righteousness (the vesture) by showing forth our faith by good works towards the hearing of His voice. Jesus is Lord.

Genesis 24:1-3 KJV
(1) And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.
(2) And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:
(3) And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

We are to hear His voice and rejoice in what He has to say.

John 3:29-36 KJV
(29) He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

His testimony of the Scriptures must increase while our understanding of them must decrease. His words are to increase while our own words decrease. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours.

(30) He must increase, but I must decrease.

He speaks from Heaven the heavenly interpretation of the Bible while the many different private interpretations of the Scriptures of man are earthly and are preached in earthly understanding. The natural man will not receive those things as preached via the Spirit sent from Heaven for they are spiritually understood. We must not behave in our earthly wisdom towards the hearing of His voice but with the things of the Spirit so that we can enter in to understand.

(31) He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
(32) And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

When we receive the testimony of the Son of God, we seal that God is true. The words of God spoken by the Son are the “true words of God” who is “King of kings and Lord of lords”. His words are the “faithful and true” Word of God.

(33) He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

God sends the Son to speak the true words of God (as compared to the word of men which are not true). Let God be true and every man a liar.

(34) For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
(35) The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
(36) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

It is all about the testimony of Jesus in this coming time.

His testimony is the interpretation of the Word of God and how we handle/respond to the hearing of His testimony (whether in our belief or unbelief) determines our judgment…in the Day of Judgment.

By our words towards His testimony (the opening up of the Scriptures) shall we be “justified” ….to be rendered just….and by our words shall we be condemned. Our words can be spoken in the spirit of brotherly love or in the breath of envy and strife.

Matthew 12:35-37 KJV
(35) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
(36) But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
(37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Those who will hold the testimony of Jesus (the true sayings of God) after hearing it will worship God in praise and thanksgiving for the revelation of His knowledge.

Revelation 19:9-10 KJV
(9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of the prophecy because how we handle His testimony in the Day of Judgment determines the outcome as symbolized in the book of Revelation. We are to hear His testimony and be found worshipping God.....as the "sayings" do in Revelation.

(10) And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

We are repeatedly told to hear what the Spirit says….as the testimony of Jesus in the Spirit of Truth is very important. We must be found overcoming our wrath and works of darkness when we shall hear His testimony….the opening up of the Scriptures.

Revelation 3:13 KJV
(13) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

We are to take heed on how we hear His testimony speaking in the Spirit of Truth.

Whosoever has faith in what they hear Him saying (and faith is not hidden but is manifested by our good works toward the hearing of His voice), more knowledge shall be given.

We don’t hide our faith, but show forth that inner faith with outward good works...which are the works of God's righteousness and not our own.

We don’t light a candle and cover it but instead put it out there so that others may see the outward evidence of our faith by how we act and speak.

Luke 8:16-18 KJV
(16) No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
(17) For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
(18) Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Faith without the outward manifestation of His righteous works is dead. Professing faith alone is dead.

We are to hear His testimony… the things that He speaks to us in the fullness of the Spirit. We are to hear and do good works towards His voice. Professing our faith without the accompanied good works towards the hearing of His testimony in the Spirit of Truth is “dead”....as the "dead" church of Sardis shows us.

Revelation 3:1-6 KJV
(1) And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Be “watchful”….that is, we have a command to “awake” to His righteousness.

Good works completes our faith before God whose interpretation of the Scriptures we shall hear in the Spirit of Truth. (James 2:22 KJV Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

We must cast off the works of darkness: envy, strife, contentions, wrath, etc. so that we can stand before Him.

(2) Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
(3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

The wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.

Even though some will be wrathful towards what they hear, they will be found overcoming….putting on Christ.

Putting on Christ is like putting on a white garment and symbolizes the showing forth of the evidence of our inner faith through the outward works of the righteousness of God in our lives towards the One who speaks to us in the fullness of His Spirit (the 7 Spirits of God).

(4) Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
(5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
(6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

We have a command to "awake" out of our "sleep"...the forgetfulness of doing His righteousness. We must be found of Him casting off the works of darkness and putting on the armor of Light.

Romans 13:11-14 KJV
(11) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
(12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

When we hear His testimony, we are to put away the “rioting”….the wrathful words, envying and strife…and put on the Lord Jesus Christ and not fulfill the lusts to speak out in our envy and strife, contentions, wrath, etc. We must show forth the evidence of our professed faith in the way we respond to the hearing of His testimony.

(13) Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

The putting on the Lord Jesus Christ is the outward showing of our inner faith in Him. A garment that is put on is outward and seen by all.

(14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

We are to hear His testimony and “keep the sayings of this book” which all point towards worshipping God. the time is at hand to "awake" to His righteousness ...putting on Christ...and put off the works of darkness.

Revelation 22: KJV
(9) Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
(10) And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

What are some of these saying we are not to seal?

They are the sayings of praise and thanksgiving when we have heard the testimony of Jesus. We hear the Son’ s voice as He opens up the Scriptures to our hearing ears and we overcome our own thoughts and beliefs and ways and overcome our desires to speak against His words....the desires of the flesh.

The sayings we are not to be kept inside. They are not to be "sealed"...kept quiet.

They are the sayings of the praise and worship of God. We are not to hide our faith in the “earth” of our hearts but to manifest the sayings. Seal not the sayings (the worship of God) of the prophecy of this book:

Revelation 4:10-11 KJV
(10) The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
(11) Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 5:11-14 KJV
(11) And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
(12) Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
(13) And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
(14) And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Revelation 7:11-12 KJV
(11) And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
(12) Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

We have a choice at the hearing of the testimony of the real Jesus: we either worship God or we continue to bow down to man’s interpretations and the preaching of their “another Jesus” .

We must be found worshipping God with praise and thanksgiving as the “sayings” show us in the book of Revelation.
