The important thing to remember is that the GOP is the pro-life party.
And the Dems are pro-choice...... or is that no choice in the case of cruise ships either vaccinate or be barred from a cruise, those are your choices.

Two guests aboard the first major sea cruise hosting Americans since the pandemic halted the industry have tested positive for Covid-19 in required end-of-cruise testing, the cruise line said Thursday.

The two guests, who shared a stateroom on the seven-day Celebrity Millennium cruise from St. Maarten, are asymptomatic, in isolation and being monitored by a medical team, Celebrity Cruise Lines said in a news release.

"We are conducting contact tracing, expediting testing for all close contacts and closely monitoring the situation," the news release said.

People treating public health initiatives designed to combat a global pandemic as something they can simply choose to ignore on a whim without consequences don't need others to bring shame to them.
I'm not caving to fear and shame mongerers whose egos and virtue signaling only profit themselves at the publics expense.

That didn't take long at all!

That has nothing to do with "the Dems" and everything to do with a private buisness which is allowed to set the conditions for their services.

For Republicans and others who are against big government, they sure do think Desantis should regulate businesses!

So in other words a baker could require everyone to prove they don't have HIV or AIDS before they discuss baking a wedding cake for them and those who refuse to reveal their medical records can be refused service by your logic.

Not by my logic, by the law. Unless you believe those "right to refuse service" signs are in error?

most here are going to Giant Eagle & other pharmacies, or drive thru places in parking lots, or even churches

one gets a card or paper as proof

is that a medical record?
churches can give out medical records?

Technically, it is a record of a vaccine that you got, so it can be deemed a medical record. It's no different than when you show the school that your child is going to attend their vaccination records as well.

I have gotten the vaccine, and have no problems showing my vaccine card. If anyone were to ask me if I got the vaccine I will tell them yes and why I got it.

Cruise lines have always been able to require various immunizations for tropical diseases in the past, depending on the ports of call. No one has raised a fuss about this.

How exactly is baking a cake for an HIV-positive person a threat to the employees or other customers?

Some of the folks on the below mentioned cruise can prove how Covid is a threat to their wellbeing and livelihood, as now some of them will likely need to quarantine (possibly losing their jobs).

Do cruise lines actually "require" them or are they themselves required by governments to do so. I think the cruise lines only require what they are forced to require and are now trying to require something that isn't mandated by governments they have to deal with. The one way around this C19 vaccine would be a port other than in Florida that requires it that they stop in and Florida can still fine them if they require it to do business in their state.

If someone can be infected at all it can be seen as a threat. The issue is at what percentage/line drawn to decide what is and is not a threat that required action on a government and/or business level. You are equating that businesses can override a government when it comes to safety, and if that is so then who decides what "safety" is if one rejects local government authorities then one can make up their own "safety" and ban people based upon that "fear".

My contention was that a business can refuse service to anyone, for any reason other than an immutable trait. No shirt, no shoes, no weapons, etc........... The business usually denies services for safety reasons, but not always. Regardless, that has been SOP for as long as I can remember and I am sure much longer than that. Now, because of a pandemic (specifically, choosing to not be vaccinated), some want to all a sudden state that businesses should no longer have this option.

So, with this new SOP (the business can no longer refuse customers) a naked, armed, beligerant/violent person should be welcome in all businesses, correct?

It actually would be considered deregulating in this case, or canceling a regulation of a business.

If one requires it by law and it has to do with a medical condition that is regulated by doctors... yes it is a medical record.

If the person somehow gets infected accidentally they have about a 2-3 times more of a chance of death from HIV and there is no cure for it unlike C19 which is curable. The cruise line stood on no legal ground to consider itself an expert on C19, why should a baker who similarly has no legal ground as an expert on HIV be refused similarly?
