We eat kosher and the last kosher butcher retired. Still we got some left over meat from Passover and eat mostly vegetarian anyway. Its cheaper. Still, if you can buy local beef or chicken, do it, both . Farmers loose often money with the middle man so in the end you both will benefit buying local.
Interesting enough, it was a Messianic rabbi friend that originally posted that meme that I copied over from Facebook.
We purchase our meat in bulk from a local farmer and smaller items at the farmers market. I found a sustainable source for fish I’ll use when we need to restock.
I prefer buying direct. The quality is better and I can customize the cuts. It’s more expensive upfront. But you save money in the long run.
