You brought up Dog being canceled for his private conversation. I get the connection you made but how would you ‘cancel’ Hunter for his comment? What punishment could there possibly be for what he said? If he works for a company they can decide for themselves if they wish to keep him on but if they don’t care, then what? There’s no law that says he can’t be an ignorant racist jerk. Even if he’s the President’s son.

I think we all need to embrace the example of Kendrick Lamar. Who called a white female fan of his on stage during a concert to sing one of his songs. She repeated the N word lyrics and was booed (rightfully) by the audience for her lack of sensitivity. Lamar extended a hand of mercy and allowed her to continue singing as long as she bleeped out the words of his own song.
Hunter Biden needs to be publicly shamed and humiliated like that girl, so he can understand the plight of the African American in the USA. It is not okay, EVER, to say the N Word. If you're white.

Why did you mention Dog the Bounty Hunter?
Not really. Just hearing the n word doesn’t have some caustic effect on me. I get PoC taking offense to it given its history but it doesn’t personally offend me since I don’t share that history. I’m not black. Hunter Biden saying something racist in a private conversation doesn’t really affect my life in any way so why am I going to get upset over it?
It’s not. I’m wondering why it’s any of yours.

You understand the difference between saying something in front of an audience and saying something in private to a trusted friend or in this case, an attorney, right? You realize nobody but the recipient was intended to see this message right? And you understand the difference between using the word as a pejorative and attacking someone with it vs using it in jest with a friend who understands you’re joking?

When it comes to racism, there is no joking and there is no difference. There is no nuance. There is no degree of separation between evil and acceptable. White people, no matter the context, should never feel themselves able to say the N word. Ever. Any attempt to say otherwise is to pave the way to white supremacy.
