Under the NT Law all the saved are located within the church. (Acts 2:38,47)

Ac 2:47 And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Where are the saved
according to the scripture above?

Today you and I live under the NT Law.

Nor you or I have ever lived under the OT Law. (it was for the Jews) (Ex.34:27,28)

Ex 34:27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28 ¶ And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Are you a Jew?

If we see a verse and we stop to wonder if its literal or not, we have to ask ourselves if there are any more passages to support the idea of literal or parabolic.

I showed you almost 10 verses that support Luke 14:33 to be a literal passage, in fact, there are no passages to suggest it is parabolic or hidden meaning.

In the case of Luke 14:26, you have to do the same, are there passages that suggest it to be literal or not. There are passages that support this meaning to love Jesus more.

In any case, using one verse with support as a parable to reject a different verse that has literal support makes no sense. I showed you where everyone in the new testament took the command literal, you would have to explain to me how come they took it literal but we dont have to.
The Lord ask people to sell all their possessions and follow him b/c it was necessary in that day and time to spread the gospel to all the world as (Mark 16:15,16) (Col. 1:5,6,23) states.

Today it is not necessary to sell all one has b/c we have TV, computers, Radio and other ways of communication.

***

When it comes to (Jn 14:26 ; 16:13) and (Mt. 10:19,20) I posted the following scriptures.
(Luke 24:44-49) (Acts 1:5,8) (Acts 2:1-4)

(Luke 24:44-49) -

Lu 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Jesus was speaking to his apostles alone)

Lu 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (the apostles alone)

(Acts 1:5,8) The book of Acts takes up where (Luke 24) ended. (still the apostles alone)

Ac 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Ac 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (the apostles alone)

(Acts 2:1-4,14)

Ac 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ("they" refers back to the apostles)

Ac 2:14 ¶ But Peter, standing up with the eleven,...

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit was a PROMISE to the apostles as I have shown in the scriptures above. It was never commanded for all men.

***

Remember Paul believed the Lord and was following Jesus commands in (Acts 9) yet he was not a Christian until (Acts 22:16).

Today it is not necessary to sell all

Today is not necessary to obey Christ and become a disciple the way He said to do it because times changed.

There's a verse where it says that God is the same back then and today, the idea that things changed there for Gods commands change is a contradiction to God.

John 8:31 If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. The word If is the most important part of that verse.

There was a verse where Jesus said that there are 2 types of Christians, those who build in the sand and those who build on stone. The ones who build on sand are the ones who hear what He said but don't do it and the ones that build on stone are the ones who did everything He said.

Rather than brushing off the command, it would be wise for you to take a second and ponder on what it would imply. To have nothing, to rely solely on God to provide everything, your food and clothing and every other need. This is a faith that is literal, this is a faith where you ask God and God actually answers and provides.

I told an atheist once that there is evidence of God and everyone that wants to see it only needs to obey Christ. If you let go of it all, God will care for you the way He said. You wouldn't be able to doubt after all the miracles that come the second you let go and let God be your Father.

I honestly don't expect anyone to listen, everyone has their idea of what the gospel is and everyone has the verses they need to feel safe in that idea. We all listen with the intent to answer, never with the intent to learn, we all think we have it right and we need to teach others.

You said - "There was a verse where Jesus said that there are 2 types of Christians, those who build in the sand and those who build on stone. The ones who build on sand are the ones who hear what He said but don't do it and the ones that build on stone are the ones who did everything He said."

Nova - If one of them did not do what Jesus said, by your own definition they would not be a Christian.

Jesus said the same thing in (Mt. 7).

I am one who is willing to learn truth. (Acts 10:33-35) (2Cor. 4:13)

Those words "the gospel" can be found in (Mark 16:15,16).

Whatever it means is to "go to all the world" and to "every creature".

So anyone who rejects this gospel found in (Mark 16:16) is rejecting Jesus b/c Jesus and His word are one (John Chapter 1). (Jn 12:48)

I do expect people to listen to truth for it's only truth that will cleanse and sanctify the souls of men. (Jn 17:17).

Joh 17:17 ¶ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Anytime someone is teaching something which opposes Gods truth I know they are not teaching a gospel which will save mens souls. (1Tim. 4:1-2) (2Tim. 4:1-4)

1Ti 4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that
in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron

2Ti 4:1 ¶ I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

But good and honest hearts will love truth and obey it all. (Acts 10;33-35) and also (Luke 8:5-15)

Lu 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an
honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Mans job is to spread
"the seed" the "truth" and allow some to accept it and some to reject it (Acts 28:24).

2Co 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith,
according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Beware -

1Jo 4:1 ¶ Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

There are 2 types of people who claim to follow Jesus, the ones that do what He says and the ones who pull out 50 verses to brush off some commands. I think we can atleast agree that we spent alot of energy into this and its not moving back or forth. Until next time my friend.

People need to know the correct answer to the following question.

When is the alien sinner "reconciled" to Christ?

There are several scriptures which use the words "with Him". (Rom. 6:3-6,16-18) (Col. 2:11,12)

(Rom. 6:3-6)

Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Notice (Rom. 6:16-18) is reiterating what (Rom. 6:3-6) is saying.

Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

(Col. 2:11,12)

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 ¶ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

We know when the words "with Him" are used the alien sinner has been forgiven of his sins and "reconciled" to Christ (Rom. 5:10).

Notice (Eph. 2:16)

Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God
in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Both Jew / Gentile are reconciled unto God

in
one body (one church).

By the cross.

People want to be reconciled to God

People want the message of the cross.

But they reject the idea "all are reconciled" to God "in one body" (or one church)

Notice the Lord placed those who obeyed (Acts 2:38) in the church (vs 47).

Ac 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Where are the
saved located?
