The stones with the 10 Commandments, where are they now?Can you please clarify your question?
What I said was God made a distinction between the Ten and the other commandments. Do you think God has a purpose for everything He does? God did not let anyone else write His eternal laws, He wrote them with His own finger and they were placed in the most holy of God’s Temple. People roll their eyes about this which honestly I find amazing and disrespectful. Are the 10 Commandments the most important Commandments? Is that what you’re saying?
No one knows, but if I had to guess buried in Jerusalem where no one will find them until Jesus is ready for them to be found or when He comes again. The stones with the 10 Commandments, where are they now?
But the 10 Commandments we’re not the most important Commandment. When Jesus was asked what is the most important commandment did he quote the 10 Commandments? What I said was God made a distinction between the Ten and the other commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.
That sounds important to me. God’s character is expressed through His commandments. When we obey God’s commandments it’s also an expression of our love to God. John 14:15, John 15:10, 1 John 5:3.
I think obeying all of God’s laws and commandments are important. When we obey Him, we are putting His will above our own.
Jesus said: Mathew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven
While we do not obey God to be saved, we obey because we are saved. His laws are written in our hearts and we obey because of our love for Him.
I hope this clarifies! God bless.

Nice. I already told you why I cannot discuss it on the open forum but still you reply with this arrogant response.
I cannot discuss my full thoughts on the RCC openly because it would violate the forums rules so if you want to have that discussion we would have to do so through PM.
Why is that?

If we are to converse further and totally on my thoughts on the RCC we should do so through PM.

Isn’t name calling against the rules?Well, first off Lovefirst, I can't help but chuckle from the irony of this post. back on post #82 you said:
So, in other words, you are telling me,,, a practicing member of the Catholic Church....
"I would like to tell you what I really think of the Catholic Church, but I can't do it in an open forum because the things I want to tell you would get me in trouble from Christian Forum Administration for rules violation. ( i.e. Flaming and goading ) However, even though I go by "LoveFirst" as my forum title, I would not mind "Flaming and Goading" what you believe and that of the church you are a member of teachings and beliefs through Private Messaging."
That's is why!
It is also why I do not have a problem discussing with you about the Catholic Church, and correcting the myths, misconceptions, and fallacies you may have and may post in a open forum. Myself and other Catholics in this forum have discussions with numerous other non-Catholics giving their thoughts about the Catholic Church all the time with out violating forum rules. I can't understand why you think you should be any different. That is unless, what you have to say, might be something you would rather the open forum not see. Is it?
So tell me LoveFirst, you don't think these posts are a little arrogant on your part?
Anyhoo, the offer still stands, and if you are still willing, maybe we could continue our discussion with you addressing my questions on post # 81.
Have a Blessed Evening!
Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment.
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
When you love God with all your heart and mind as an expression of that love you will obey Commandment 1-4 which is our moral duty to love God, written in our heart and mind in the New Covenant.
When we love our neighbor we show them by obeying Commandments 5-10.
Jesus said: 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
The Bible teaches it.
Are you implying Jesus said we should love God with all our hearts so we no longer have to obey God’s Commandments? Now we are free to break them? I’m trying to understand your point.Amen but all of God’s commandments were given for the purpose of the two most important commandments. The 10 commandments were a stumbling block for the Jews. The purpose of the 10 commandments was to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and to love others as we love ourselves. I actually prefer how He said it in John 15:12. Love one another as I have loved you. The Pharisees worked very diligently to keep the 10 commandments but they missed the entire point of them. The whole purpose of the 10 commandments was to show that man could not possibly keep them and is in need of a Savior. That’s why the 10 commandments are in God’s temple in heaven right now. Revelation 11:19.

My impression by @LoveFirst post she is trying to be respectful about her opinion.
You know SabbathBlessings, I would really like to discuss my full thoughts on the Seventh Day Adventist church openly with you, " but cannot because it would violate forum rules.

Those are really good questions and where a lot of people get lost when it comes to the different laws and which ones were nailed to the cross when Jesus became our sacrifice. The short answer it was ordinances from the law of Moses that was nailed to the cross, not God’s laws. To give you a detailed response with scripture will take more time than I have right now, but I would love to continue this discussion in the next day or so when I have a little more time. I’ll respond back soon. Thanks for the discussion. God bless! But you don’t keep all of God’s commandments. First it was the 10 commandments because they are the “most holy commandments” now we must keep the dietary laws also which were not a part of the 10 commandments but we don’t have to keep the rest of God’s commandments? Why not?
I was referring to you when you called this poster arrogant.????? I didn't say LoveFirst called me or anybody a name, and I don't recall ever calling LF or anyone else a name either. If you think I did, please show me where.
Okay, let's say I said to you....
So SB, Would your first impression be that of me being respectful? Yes, No, Maybe, not sure?
Well, let's see, Please pay close attention to the part I have in quotations. Like LoveFirst's post quoted below, I said... not that my thoughts "may" violate forum rules, but "would" violate forum rules!
Huge difference, would you not agree?
Have a Blessed Evening

The problem with the Pharisees was not the law. They were making it more of a burden than what God intended. They were more concerned with rules and the letter they never tried to obey God out of love. That is what the New Covenant is about. His laws written in our hearts and minds and we obey not because He commanded us to, we obey out of love.
It’s no different than having rules for our children. My daughter never wanted to obey my rules but did out of respect and love. The Creator of all things asks for so little, His laws was never meant to be burdensome and typically the only commandment most people take issue with is the one that takes our time. A full day of having communion with our Heavenly Father, putting aside our own pleasures and keeping His Sabbath holy. If the 4th Commandment was not written in the Ten, the churches would still be teaching them, even if they are not always practiced. What people don’t seem to understand is keeping God’s Sabbath is a delight and a joy.
Yes, I believe God has His own copy of the Ten in His Temple in Heaven. His Temple on Earth was a duplicate to His Heavenly Temple, so that should tell everyone how important His commandments are just from where they are placed inside His Temple. Our bodies are the Temple for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us keep the Commandments John 14-15-18 His laws are written in our hearts and when we do not keep them, we grieve away the Holy Spirit.

My impression by @LoveFirst post she is trying to be respectful about her opinion. She did not say she wouldn’t talk about it, just prefer to in a PM. Why not take her up on that offer? She appears to be a new member here too so a little kindness back I am sure would be really appreciated. God bless.

You do realize that both the Sabbath and the dietary laws were given specifically to the Jews, right? Noah was a Gentile who was permitted to eat anything he wanted after the flood. In Acts 10 God said do not call that which has been cleaned, unclean. When we come to Christ we are cleansed of our sin and remain that way as long as we abide in Him.
