For those who tend to shun the power associated with critical choices of scripture, didn't the Spirit himself denote approval in more than one area such as shown here?

Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures, , for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ (Acts 18:24, 28).

They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. -Ephesians 4:18 ESV

I was considering about “the life of God”, that was written in Ephesians 4:18. What could it be ? Isn’t the life that God promises for us ?
Yes, it is.

This is what we have heard:
making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ -Ephesians 1:9
as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. -Ephesians 1:10 ESV

So the will, purpose, plan of God the Father set forth our lives in union with Christ. The life that He promises.

As our Lord Himself have said:

that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. -John 17:21 ESV

My favorite verses that I gave thoughts to :

“Look to Me, and be saved,
All you ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 I have sworn by Myself;
The word has gone out of My mouth inrighteousness,
And shall not return,
That to Me every knee shall bow,
Every tongue shall take an oath.
24 He shall say,
Surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength.
To Him men shall come,
And all shall be ashamed
Who are incensed against Him.
25 In the Lord all the descendants of Israel
Shall be justified, and shall glory.’ ”-Isaiah 45:22-25 NKJV

'Honor one another above yourselves' (Romans 12:10)
What would you consider about another whom you honor, because he has done honorable deeds? But in other instances, you find that person have dishonorable deeds to you ? ; that he mocked you.
Can you still honor like before ? Could you find that person above yourself? What would you consider?

that's a tricky question
The Lord knew that I pondered over those questions.

Didn’t the Lord honor His own ? This is what we have heard:
He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. -John 1:11

Yes, our Lord honored His own by receiving His people, but His own people did not honor Him by receiving Him.

Did we not suffer when mocked ?Yes, we did.
This is what we have heard:

You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments. -Psalms 119:21
Take away from me scorn and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies. -Psalms 119:22

So when we were mocked, we committed our righteousness to Him; the Lord rebuke the insolent or the proud and the cursed ones who strayed from the commandments of the Lord. That is the grace of our Lord towards us. More than that, we can trust in this grace that the Lord removed our scorns and contempts because we observe His instructions.

What should we do to honor others above ourselves? This is what we have heard:

And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." And when he had said this, he fell asleep. -Acts 7:60

We should continue to pray on behalf of others, even though they hurt us much and said, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them”

In union with Christ, our faith is working through love. Our prayer of faith through the love of Christ imparts grace, that they may be delivered from this sin through repentance.

For this is what we have heard:
For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,- Philippians 1:19 NKJV

Let us be thankful, that our Lord strengthen our hearts and enable us to honor others above ourselves. To God be the glory. Amen

'We all stumble in many ways.' At the end of the day, our honor, OR glory, is in the Lord or not. The precepts over differences and all elevations thereof are all laid out before us by Jesus' teachings. We either gain the brother, or he loves the world. Point being, charter the course in love secured by said corrections. That is the only hope of honor surviving in the tempests of life.

Dear one,
I would not say that way,”that we stumbled in many ways.” For we heard:
The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way; -Psalms 37:23
though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand. -Psalms 37:24

In keeping with the word, I consider that we say : though we may stumble, God upholds us through His Son; for we delight to live His ways and His Spirit will direct our paths.

Considering about the end of day, I don’t think that we should consider our honor or our glory; we should not deceive ourselves and think of ourselves of something but we should consider the load that God apportioned us.

For we heard:
He must increase, but I must decrease." -John 3:30

Likewise, we heard :
making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ -Ephesians 1:9
as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. -Ephesians 1:10

So we should concern ourselves how we live in union with Christ or how we should live in the love of Christ in accords with His will, purpose and plan; in that manner we glorify the Beloved Son of God in God. Yes, we honor Him.

For our Lord Himself said :
Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge. -John 8:50

Likewise, we heard : If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. -John 12:26

So we just serve the Lord, and the Father will honor us.

But our brother who loves the world ; why we are concerned? This is what we have heard:

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. -2 Peter 3:9

Though our brother or those in the world hates us or mock us, we may be full of griefs and sorrows under the circumstances but we should be patient as the Lord toward them,
not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

We should consider the help of the Holy Spirit and what our prayer of faith avail in Christ and, for we heard:

for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, -Philippians 1:19

Yes, let us long those who are close to us or around us who may have hurt us much, that they together with us, also obtain the grace of God in Christ. Yes, they together us, can be partakers of the salvation in Christ.

In this manner, we honor others who are close to us or around us, above ourselves.
