Yeshua said to make disciples of all nations. How does that only concern the apostles and Israel?

In the early days of the church, a Gentile would have to become a proselyte in order to become a disciple of Yeshua.

Definition of DISTINCT

distinct

dis·tinct | \ di-ˈstiŋ(k)t \
Definition of distinct

1: distinguishable to the eye or mind as being discrete (see DISCRETE sense 1) or not the same : SEPARATE

In the case of the Trinity, they are distinct but not separate. That`s why Yeshua can be called the everlasting father Isaiah 9:6.

Erroneous to claim they are separate.

So the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not three different personages then?

How does that affect the fact that Yeshua still desires us to fulfill the Great Commission and make disciples of all nations in our day?

To say they are distinct is to say they are different. Do you even know who the Son was before He became the Son?

To say they are distinct is also to say they are separate. Did you even read the definition that I posted?

It doesn`t, but we were talking history. Fulfilling the command was different for them than it is for the Gentle church. I mentioned it because you gave me the impression that you are a stickler for history.

On some topics, I am as well.

Well I am but I’m trying to understand why you don’t believe the modern day church is responsible to fulfill the Great Commission. What should we do then allow Christianity to die out?

Yes it does. Yeshua is God. He is the Word incarnate. The logos. YHWH in the flesh.

You are giving me a definition for Jesus as the Son.

I asked you who HE was before. He certainly wasn`t flesh. And HE wasn`t the FATHER whom HE says is the greater of the two.

Perhaps you cant answer the question.

I did answer the question you just don’t like my answer. What is your answer then?

Sure maybe you should elaborate more for me on post #238.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Most Christians believe this command is given directly to us to fulfill. However, the original command that is called the great commission is a directive to follow all of Jesus' commands. In order to obey it, we would have to become proselytes and obey the modern Jewish Rabbis.

Obviously, this would contradict the gospel of Paul (see Galatians).

Having said that, all Christians are commanded to confess Jesus and give a witness to the world which fulfills the purpose of the so-called great commission.

That plain enough for you?

I understand where you’re coming from but I completely disagree.

Well that’s basically what John 1:1 says but without using the actual term. It says he was God.

Yes but it's hard to really comprehend what John 1:1 is saying. If you say Yeshua is the Theophany it becomes easy to understand who you believe Yeshua is.

It draws the line in the sand in a way that John 1:1 doesn`t. John 1:1 says the Word was God but doesn`t explain how He manifested Himself.
