Ummm last year was the 2nd hottest this decade, and it's been rather hot in many places along with fires. Please keep up to date before you post nonsense.
The nonsense is thinking that man has any influence on climate.

When I went to school it was a planet then science decided it was not a planet, who knows what it is now.

It’s a dwarf planet. It has a large enough mass to have hydrostatic equilibrium but isn’t large enough to have cleared its orbit of other objects. Ceres and Eris are also dwarf planets in the Solar System.

But nothing about what we knew about Pluto changed. We just made a better definition of what a planet is.

We discovered Pluto and called it a planet. After many years we discovered other objects around Pluto that weren't much different than Pluto but we didn't call them planets. Some astronomers argued that we need a better definition of what counts as a planet because there doesn't seem to be a means of categorizing Pluto as a planet but not a bunch of other things. So they decided on a definition of what a planet is that excludes Pluto.

When I went to school water was made of hydrogen and oxygen. I wonder what its made of now???

This finding of yours is based on....what?

Humans are perfectly capable of releasing large amounts of heat trapping gasses into the atmosphere. This isnt even controversial.

Try to understand: Pluto is still the same; there is just a bit of a change in the nomenclature.

My father always grew geraniums; now I grow them too, only they are called pelargoniums in the catalogues. But they are the same plants.

There has been a change in the nomenclature. Clear now?

And 2008 was the coldest year. So? It doesn't mean we are headed for catastrophe. And it doesn't mean we can actually do anything to stop the change. There will be no catastrophe. At least not a climate one.

Let's just be smart about it, prepare for the changes with good technology and continue to bring good clean energy without wrecking our way of life.

It's designation changed because the definition of planet changed due to it was change the definition or give the solar system hundreds more planets because we've since found many more objects that would fit the definition. Nothing changed about Pluto just our understanding of what it is to be a planet.

Except that the changes are already costly and doing nothing to avoid the problems. Also countries are now based upon where it's good for our climate NOW. when it changes, most of the US's growing areas will no longer support as much food, with rising sea levels.

And 2008 was the second coolest in a 10 year cycle, but still warmer then average. it's getting hotter every year, the long term cycles show it warming and getting worse.

Of course it's getting warmer. It's been getting warmer ever since the ice age. It's the natural earthly cycle. So? Enough has been made on how how the earth is warming. It leveled our pretty much for years. It gets warmer then cools off a bit. The predictions have been a constant failure. Even the data collection has failed and has been found to be manipulated. No, it's not catastrophic and won't be. The sea is not going to rise to prevent farming. It's fear mongering.

What's average? There is no average. The earth hasn't had an average in forever. It's always changing. The climate isn't going to change to the point we won't be able to grow food or live etc.

Let's keep moving forward with tech. Let's get greener, cause no one wants dirty air. But let's not panic. Cause all that does is create more problems. As the climate changes we will work on tech to adapt.

The end won't come until God brings judgement, it won't be because of catastrophic clime change.

The Father has offered mankind a way out, through His Son, but they want to keep Earth as is...even though it is obviously in a state of decay and headed for demise. Because man rejects the Son, they will never see the new heavens and the new Earth. Pride keeps man from agreeing with God against himself.

As you said new thing were discovered that change the thinking, that has happened throughout time in science, 10 years from now new things could be discovered about climate that disprove what is now accepted.

vs the hubris of thinking, we can pollute the planet God gave us as much as we want without any harm.
which seems to disregard the fact that God is in charge and always has been.

No, Clint, no. The science is "settled". Did you not hear?

And god is under no obligation to fix the mess we create because we expect him to fix it. I think screwing up the planet because you think god won't let it go bad is a really poor way to show you care about him. He just becomes a magic genie at that point. He told us to take care of the planet, you obviously are not.

there are ways of taking care of the planet without buying into unproven theories and providing funding for countries who do not care about anything other than their profits.

Perhaps you would share some of them. Or even one.

I will start off with a couple:
1. Stop using fossil fuels;
2. Plant millions of trees.

I will start off with a couple:
1. Stop using fossil fuels;
2. Plant millions of trees.
Clean up forests so they do not burn so easily
use only recyclable plastics
use pipelines for fuel delivery instead trains or ships
develop safe atomic power generation
