2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness
of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
“who have obtained”>[G2975] lagchano-have been allotted
As in:

Luke 1:
8
So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division,
9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went
into the temple of the Lord.
Each is allotted a measure of faith to function within the body of Christ.
Romans 12:
3
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think
more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one
a measure of Faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Wherefore then is this measure a “like precious faith”?
Is it not received by way of the same Righteousness of Christ, according to His
Own Purpose and the Will of His Father?

Ephesians 1:11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined
according to the Purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of
His own Will.
Are we not instructed to prove this faith?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you do not stand the test.

2 Peter 1:2 May Grace and peace abound unto you in the knowledge of God
and of Jesus our Lord.
“the knowledge of” [G1922] epignosis=full discernment and acknowledgment
from [G1921] epiginosko=fully perceived, thorough and accurate.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith.
Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?
Unless indeed you are disqualified.
Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may
give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

2 Peter 1:3 As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life
and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.
“the knowledge of” [G1922] epignosis repeated

A more in depth look from the link:
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Colossians 1:
9
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you,
and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom
and spiritual understanding;
10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing,, being fruitful in every good work
and increasing in the knowledge of God.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2 Peter 1:4 By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises,
that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption in the world through lust.
Being partakers of Christ, what are we to do with this “Like Precious Faith”?
2 Peter 1:
5
But also for this very reason, give all diligence, add to your Faith virtue, to virtue
knowledge,
6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
By these then, we may “abound in Grace and Peace”: (verse 2)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2 Peter 1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“the knowledge of our Lord” [G1922] epignosis-X3
2 Peter 1:9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
“lacks these things” -literally ‘things not present’, as opposed to ‘present’ in verse 12:
2 Peter 1:12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present Truth.

“in the present" [G3918] pareimi=present in the here and now
Therefore...

2 Peter 1:
10
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure,
for if you do these things you will never stumble;
11
for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
But if you do not retain this knowledge:
2 Peter 2:
20
For if, after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of
the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the
latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb:
A dog returns to his own vomit, and,
a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
