Hi all,

In April this year I shared my experience of having hurt my ankle in 2007 and about 10 years later following regular prayer how I experienced a wind around my ankle that healed me of the pain. Well, I didn't want to say anything but the pain returned within a week of posting my story.

I am disappointed and surprised by this naturally and wonder what is going on? The pain is intermittent, mild and every other day as before. I have not injured myself again and cannot understand why this happened?

I recall when I experienced the wind swirling around my ankle it moved in the way a serpent would wrap itself around a leg. Could it be that this wind was from a dark place? Maybe my faith is being attacked? I just don't know what to make of this all?

Could it be that I'm being tested? I have the spiritual gift of faith, even if my foot were to fall off my faith would remain the same!
I am familiar with the book of Job. Could this be a test?

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Romans 8:18-25 is the standard advice I would use from Paul, regarding sufferings in the Body of Christ.

To sum up, the complete healing will come in the redemption of your bodies, into the perfect body.

Could it be nothing more than arthritis making a new claim on your ankle? You can visit both a local podiatrist and the Great Physician for further help, knowledge and healing.

It's not unusual for "it" to try to return. Just be deligent and tell the pain to leave in the name of Jesus.

Problems in this world are never on His end, His arm is not shortened.
I have heard it taught by a very successful and blessed healing ministry when they saw people come back for healing of the same condition, "we can GET you healed, we can't KEEP you healed", reminding that when the spirit causing the problem returns later it must find the "house" it was cast out of to be no longer habitable .

Post #5 speaks to this, it must respond to the name of Jesus.

Well, thanks for your advice. Thing is I'm pretty sure it's the same issue. The absence of pain tells me that the pain was stopped for those years but the physical issue still remains?

If this is all you have to worry about try being thankful for your good health.

Hi, I am already grateful for my health and general lot. I was not meaning to come across that way? The crux of the issue for me is why the pain has returned? As another poster stated I will have to get my house in order or something like that.

Hi, I wholeheartedly believe in the spiritual gifts. Mine is the gift of faith. No need to worry about that.

I will return to prayer once again, thank you...

God bless...

Hi, thank you... will review my "house". None are blameless and righteous, we all sin. Maybe I have done something wrong?

God bless...

He is so loving and patient, I doubt it was a single incident. I received His word one that referred to Isaiah 28, "Line up[on Line, Precept upon precept, here a little, there a little".
He seems to be taking me through the multitude of my mistakes that I might revisit and seek His forgiveness. It is a long list, a life long list.

I remember when we shared our experiences with healing of the ankle.

My own ankle injury was from horsing around on a quad and reaping the consequences. While the frequent spraining of my ankle has become much less over time (which I attribute to prayer and God's mercy), the injury will always be there and will be sore from time to time, will sprain itself if I twist my ankle wrong.

I look at it this way. I sprained my ankle because of my own stupidity and I learned from it. My ankle injury slowed me down and made me think long and hard about the things I choose to do for fun. I did own a quad many years later, but I drove it with a new set of eyes, of caution and safety. And so this injury has been beneficial in my own life in that respect. It's given me pause, to slow down and think.

I also have lower back issues that are chronic, but manageable through simple things like a pillow under and between the knees when sleeping. I still wake up with pain on some days. It's a part of life that will always be with me.

We are meant to go through trials in this world, so that we can grow from them. So that we can come out the other side better for it. That's not to say there isn't a medical procedure to make your ankle better, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that all of us have ailments because of the consequences of sin and all of us must endure them in this life in faith and hope in Jesus. It's a small thing, really, when you think about it in comparison to our reward.

Those are my thoughts.

Hello,

Yeah, a small thing in the greater realm of things. An acquaintance of mine from Tennis had a medical procedure on his ankle. Maybe I need a small procedure. Probably.
But the pain is mild and intermittent, not really anything substantial. Will seek medical advice if it gets worse...

God bless...

Perhaps God has forgotten that we have established rules that He must abide by.
Perhaps God has dozed off. Speak louder. You may need to wake Him up.

Lest we forget.
He is God, we are not.
If the God you worship jumps at your beck and call because you say a chant, it may be a foreign god that you are praying to.

just saying ...

Hi,

Not really sure how to reply here? Are you serious? Do you realise what you are saying?

This is more than drifting imo "Perhaps God has forgotten that we have established rules that He must abide by. Perhaps God has dozed off. Speak louder. You may need to wake Him up."
No Scripture that I know matches these comments.

Thankfully, there are thousands of God's promises in Scripture.
