Sometimes God gives us experiences like these as a bonus when we come to Him in faith. It is the effect on our physical bodies when He jazzes up our spirit. It is His way of touching us physically with His hand of love.

So, something happened to me about 7 months ago and I've been trying to find out if anyone else had ever had this experience. I got a little carried away with the intent of my prayer, overwhelmed you might say, and started to cry. All of the sudden I felt this crazy tingling begin. It started at the top of my head and proceeded downwards. It absolutely freaked me out, but in a good way. It was like an electro-magnetic-euphoric feeling really. It felt like the cells in my body (but it was bigger than that) or something astounding was revolving like a particle-beam masssage inside me. Again I was driving my car and I was like, I hope I don't pass out or crash, but I was totally in control. It was a very good feeling, but also incredibly intense. Something I had never felt before or since. It was absolutely inexplicable. It continued down my spine and radiated from the inside outward -- this steady stream of rolling bliss. It was like tingley-bubblely-electric all at the same time and just kept going all the way down my legs to my toes. I was like, "What just happened to me!!!" I've asked all kinds of people, including my pastor and everyone I've asked gives me the weird eye. But, really the only thing I can come up with to this day is it was God. I had been asking for the Holy Spirit to enter me, too, because I really wasn't sure if I had it or not. And, well I guess I don't have to wonder anymore. I just want to feel that again and again, like on a daily basis. And now, I've found some others that have confirmed what I have been thinking it was. Anyone else experience this? Have you ever had it the head-to-toe version more than once? Amazing is all I can say! If that's anything like what heaven will be like, we are stoked people!

It’s amazing how you experienced pretty much the same feelings when you were Slain in The Holy Spirit! I’m 51 and back in the early 1990’s my Aunt and I went to a healing Mass at our parish, St. Joseph R.C Church in Niagara Falls New York. Father Mathew Swizdor was a visiting priest who had the gift of healing and As I sat in the pew, I prayed to God to have His Holy Spirit touch my soul. Like many people there, I walked up to the alter and we all stood next to one another and behind each of us were ushers to catch anyone the Holy Spirit touches. As Father Swizdor laid his hand on my forehead, and prayed over me, I remembered being disappointed that I didn’t feel anything the way the majority people to my left were feeling as they fell backwards. Just as the priest was about to remove his hand from my forehead, I felt a powerful jolt like an electrical current overwhelm my entire body from my head to my feet along with a euphoric feeling that is indescribable that I fell back and was caught by an usher. As I laid on my back on the church floor, I couldn’t move and my eyes were fixated on the ceiling and I never experienced such joy as I laid there until I was able to stand up. I thought that I was the only person who felt the electrical current and extreme ecstasy! I remember the feeling to this day and I remember thinking that the euphoria I felt, must be a tiny fraction of what being in the presence of the Holy Trinity for eternity feels like. A few years after I became born again but it’s just within the past five or so years that I have focused my mind and heart on GOD the Father in Jesus Christ and by the power of The Holy Spirit.. Praise God!

I've been dealing with homelessness for most of the year, but I am close to getting my apartment now thanks to God. During this difficult time, I've been feeling times of hopelessness and melancholy and almost had started to believe that I would not be able to find a place to live that I can afford. Tonight I decided to listen to uplifting music by Christ Tomlin and other Christian artists and I was singing to it outside the library (there is free wifi, and the library is closed right now so that is why I am not indoors). At some point, as I kept singing, and praising God through the music, I felt an intense tingling, and this great peace overtook me. My stomach and hands were so overcome by this electric feeling that it was actually hard for me to move my hands and my mouth to sing because the tingling was around my mouth also. I felt like it could be a stroke from the way I have trouble moving, but it was not scary really. Instead it was more like a supernatural, pure power that my body was not used to was coursing through me giving me great strength and peace. It was amazing and new to me. It was indescribable and blissful, and I was filled with joy, true joy for probably the first time in my seemingly long and painful life of abuse, bullying, health issues, death, mental and emotional health issues from the child abuse and bullying trauma, and the homelessness I've dealt with more than a few times since child-hood. It was like God's love was coursing through me, so magical and powerful, and I agree, Intense. It was, and IS, a Divine miracle. Thank You, Lord. ( : <3

Praise GOD glory to Jesus. I know the "to feel it again". Not how He works. Of God? Yeah I believe so. What were you doing that leads up to this? We DONT seek the experiences. Just keep doing what you have been. No matter how you feel think see hear. Walk by faith. This "experience" is wonderful but were talking about a GOD your Father.. this is nothing to what He will KEEP showing you and never doing the same thing twice. keep moving IN! You would be shocked at how many of us NEVER have. Its a price...

I stumbled across this post after searching online for “tingling sensation when talking to God”.

The other day it hit me like an epiphany. I realized my calling. So, I said to God, “I know it is that I’m supposed to do now. What I was always meant to do. I was meant to do God’s work. God, please help me to help others.”

All of a sudden I felt tingling energy from my neck and traveled to the top of my head. The tingling at the top of my head felt like energy radiating upwards. It felt like God was confirming or acknowledging my statement.

Hours later on my drive home, I had another talk with God. I said, “God, I understand now, and I am ready. Please guide me and lead me towards the path to my calling. I accept my calling with full love and full acceptance. I understand that I am meant to give my life to working to help others. Please lead the way.”

All of a sudden, the top of my head began tingling again. The energy was tingling all around my head and radiating upwards. I said, “God, I feel your energy. Thank you.”

The tingling happened again, days later...as I am typing this message.

The only other time in my life that I have felt this energy is a few years ago when my grandmother was dying. She had days to live and every night I prayed with her for ours. She was already at the point where she no longer opened her eyes or talked. She was at the hospital being pumped with morphine waiting for the end of her time on this plain. So, each night, I would hold her hand and talk to God. I would pray with her and ask God to keep her safe and pray that she would not feel pain. Every night I would feel an energy while praying. It was an energy, a tingling sensation that would start from my fingertips and take over my entire body up my head. It’s like I could feel God’s energy radiate through my entire being.

God is real. I believe.

Umm Hi.
I totally agree with you. There are times when I feel this unexplainable electricity in me and even air brushes in my skin where there is no possible air current. With the electricity, sometimes I even cath current from my computer or chargers that I normally don't cath. Like if I'm highly electrical and it catches me off guard.

At first I thought it was the Holy Spirit and I even asked to be filled by Him, but I neever was. Never when asked. But whenever I'm sad, anxious or I'm doing something good I feel it again. I felt it when asked for strength once because God told me to make a step to confess a sin to my mom, which I already had repented to Him and was planning to share as a testimony.

Sadly, I'm a little anxious and highly scare of this, but God makes sure I'm growing with baby steps. I didn't grew up in church and this is my second attempt to read the whole Bible. Almost 11 years since the last time I stepped in a church.

I had an electrifying experience last night. God has delivered me from depression, oppression, and alcohol addiction. My younger brother struggles with addiction. He was full of anger last night so I offered to pray with him. A little time passed and I forgot. He remembered. I immediately went into prayer. Words and scriptures began flowing and we finished the prayer. He wanted I receive more and so I laid my hands on his head. The moment I began to stretch forth my hand toward him, I felt this electrical energy (like static electricity and tingly) feeling flowing through my hand. Up and down, back and forth, on the right side of my hand. The scriptures began to flow nonstop so I proclaimed those over his life. Commanded the darkness to flee and asked God to flood him with His light to overtake the darkness. We finished the prayer. He had tears (he never cried) and said he felt whatever was in him, that anger and a lot more, leave him. He said he felt it leave his body and he could feel something good through his body and he liked how it felt and asked me to pray for him again when he returns from work. I’m thankful God works all things for good. That he uses our history and takes us to our destiny. I wasn’t sure what I experienced last night and am thankful to have found this forum. God bless you all for sharing how God shows up in your life! Amen.

I am in the process of writing an ebook for Amazon and here is the chapter that describes my experience with the "charge" that I received from God. I hope you enjoy reading it.

I have had many wonderful encounters with God, and this is just one of them that I would like to share with you. Perhaps it will strengthen your faith. I hope so. I have wondered recently if over the years of these occurrences if we are close to the rapture and the return of our Lord Jesus and perhaps that is why these have been happening to me. Or perhaps I am close to the end of my life here on earth and God wants me to know that I am His child. Whatever the reason I am so blessed that they have happened to me and I believe that He wants me to testify about them.

It was the middle of the night and I was in a deep sleep. I was awakened to my body feeling an electrical charge that did not hurt but it felt powerful. It only lasted a few seconds and covered my entire body. It stirred my granddaughter who was around three at the time and sleeping with me. She was laying up against me and it made her stir, so she felt it too. The feeling did not scare me, and I went right back to sleep.

The next morning was Sunday and I was attending the church where the prophet was. Time came for us to greet each other and the pastor told me to share the "charge" that I had received that night with the others. I had not told anyone about what had happened to me the night before. One lady came over to me and extended her hand to shake my hand. When she took my hand in hers, she said "Oh yea you got it". I guess she felt something when she took my hand. I looked around to shake other hands and they were all busy visiting with others, so I just sat down. I am kind of a shy person, so I did not go around the room looking for someone. And just maybe some of the others in the congregation were afraid to shake my hand.

I know it was God that visited me that night. He gave me a glimpse of His power. Perhaps He gave me the “charge” to strengthen me. I was in the middle of a legal battle and I was representing myself. It was a long hard battle, and I was exhausted. I was completely dependent on the Lord. He was helping me every step of the way. I was fighting for my children and God being a parent understood and was helping me. I will never forget the things He did for me.

They you for your stories, I went on the internet, to see if others have experienced what I have experienced a few times and I lucky found this forum. Can science explain this?. I was trying to discussion with my friend who is dying of cancer what is the reality of our existence. Just as I was also telling him about my experience with these energies it happened again . I wish someone could put a volt meter on my when this happens. I will like I could light up the universe.

I felt the holy spirit course through my body. My Dad, a pastor was in the process of passing on. My hands were on his and his Bible at the time. There was a moment I was perfectly still just cuddled in. I had never felt the sensation before, but an electrical warming coursed all through my body. I came up shaking at the same time as Dad's wife. He remarried following the passing on of my Mum. It's a strong reminder that God is very real.

It's a great feeling when you feel charged up in your spirit-man (2 Corinthians 4:7-16, Jude 1:20, 1 Corinthians 14:4) while praying in tongues or even just engaging in fervent prayer.

Tingling and electricity? I've had a similar experience before also while I was driving my car and praying in tongues. I was engaged in warlike intercession at the time.

While sometimes these things could be attributed to goosebumps, intense emotions, or some other physiological explanation I like to believe these kind of experiences are certainly ways that God tangibly interacts with our physical body.

John 7 is a great read. Specifically this part:

'37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)' John 7:37-39 (KJV)

I found this forum and site just moments ago after an internet search for "Holy Spirit like electricity buzz through body" I'm no stranger to the full body tingling sensation that can come over me during heavily emotional times dealing with Kingdom business. That has happened to me all my life since childhood. However, this experience left me in shock, overwhelmed, and looking as some might say "You look like you've just seen a ghost!"

Last night I was completely overwhelmed by a vision of rapture. I was having a run of the mill dream then the trumpet sounded it wasn't a sound that was close or narrow in scope like one would hear from an instrument near by, it was deep rich with sound and filled the entire sky with vibration one long blow and I opened my eyes to see out my window. The landscape was filled will a dark grayish brown haze looking like a mixture of dust, smoke, and fog.The distant sky and near sky over homes was filled with glowing lights. In an instant I felt a shockwave come through my wall and my body was immediately vibrating like electricity was flowing through it, the feeling was overwhelming and euphoric at the same time. I said immediately "Jesus" and my body began to float through my wall, from the outside of my house I looked to my children's window and said "Oh Jesus save my children" (7 & 5 at the time of writing this). I was then moved back inside and gently laid back down into my bed still feeling the full buzz.

That's the moment when I actually woke up for real, looking out the window all had returned to normal. But I didn't want to move for fear that the feeling of the euphoric full body feeling would leave me. I stayed laying down recounting what I had just seen and experienced, and felt the waves continue to move through my body until it slowly faded away over about 5 minutes time. I opened my eyes periodically during that time, to see peer out the window trying to catch a glimpse again of what I had seen it my vision.

This feeling of electricity, vibration, buzzing ,whatever one might describe it as was a 1000% amplification of the normal sensations I described when "moved by the Holy Spirit." I drove my children to school in a daze having trouble breathing, just completely overwhelmed, as I remembered the vision again in the morning.
