they aren't people dont trust the government or scientist its based on fear of the mark or just plain ignorance

Distrust of the government (aka, establishment, experts.....science). Plus, years past, distrust manipulators (Tucker Carlson, Limbauh, etc) would have been found in the tabloids. Today, such voices are given national media platforms to broadcast their lucrative trash....

Well, if I was dead, I wouldn't be having to deal with a current crop of undesirable situations...

I dont' want to live through a Venezuelan transition in the U.S so the faster I can get out of here the better ^_^

I was hoping they were going to kill me, and say, "You must take de' vaccine shot in de arm" or you take de' bullet shot in de' head"

My choice would be easy, "the shot de' head" so I'd get my wish (my ticket home) and they probably get their wish (to rid the earth of me) and we'd all be the happier for it^_^

I'm playing (but there is some truth in jest)

History has shown that those with power have the ability and temptation to abuse it. This nearly always happens under the guise of "We're doing it for your good". How else would they package it if they want people to actually accept it?

that type price is a little insane dont you think
Law of supply and demand.
Who still makes hats?
Stetson?
Dobbs?
Levine?
(Research proves me a bit high...a top end fedora can be in the $330’s, some collectors will spend big bucks on “famous hats” (hats proven to be worn by celebrities, go figure) and vintage hats which are a type of antique.

But this is off topic, so I’m out.

Considering that 2020 was five years long...yeah, I get this.

This is a rather cynical view for a person of any faith, let alone a Christian.
According to your own doctrines, you have God Almighty residing in your body, (indwelling of the Holy Spirit). What’s with this “not trusting” fellow citizens?

Will people “outsmart the devil” by sowing fear and doubt in our land?

O, brave new world!

Com on Pommer, dont you agree?

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Doubt in man is good

Should the Japanese who lived in America have trusted the government during World War 2 when they were put in internment camps?
Should the Jews have trusted the Nazis when put into camps that promised "Work makes you free"?
Should the entire world trust a man who claims he can solve the entire world's problems if we just get rid of Christians or anyone else who won't worship him and take part in a one-world digital currency?

This is about wearing masks and getting a vaccine, not about extermination CAMPS.

The folks in the most difficult position are those who have hesitated to be vaccinated or have no vaccinated their children.

Starting today, those who are unvaccinated are at risk from other that are unvaccinated. Those who among those who have hesitated will need to go back to a previous way of acting. They will need to treat everyone as if they are a threat, because so many are a threat.

For the vaccinated, this is Independence Day. We can no longer look at those without masks as those risking others. After all, they might be vaccinated, and no risk to anyone. We must pray that that more and more are vaccinated.

===========
Make no mistake, they will be major outbreaks in areas where many are unvaccinated, especially as new variants arrive from India and elsewhere. Having a large church service of unvaccinated folk is almost as dangerous as it was a year ago, almost because we have better short-tern treatments. Weddings, church services, Trump rallies; all will be super spreaders again.

I'm at 2 weeks after my second vax but I'm still going to wear a mask in public so that I show respect to other people. No one knows that I'm vaccinated so why make them feel uncomfortable? I suspect there may be some folks who are unvaccinated who are going to try to take advantage of this (because there are some Americans who can't bear to be mildly inconvenience for the sake of other people).

Americans have lost the thread overall. We can't be decent to each other and we can't be bothered to care about anyone else. I don't want to be part of that new aspect of America.

With my vaccination, however, I'm going to go out and do more. But I'm going to keep the mask on for a bit longer. Until more of our nation are in better shape to weather this ongoing storm. And so that those who are afraid don't see me as another potential threat.

Everyone is taking their own risks, the vaccine companies take none, those vaccinated take a little and those unvaccinated take a little. The vaccine companies will be just fine, whether you live or die, and those vaccinated have just as much of a wait and see as those not vaccinated but those vaccinated dont have anything to fear from those who chose not to be vaccinated and those unvaccinated have chose their own risks as well.

Don't worry be happy
The pharmaceutical companies are insulated against common risks associated with the vaccines but a person harmed can still sue in court for damages if he wants. The vaccine court has reduced evidence required so if you can show that you suffered a common reaction you don’t have to prove that the vaccine was actually responsible to win.

If you are going to quote MSNBC you really should give them credit.

Trust in God means trusting in his timetable for your life. There may be a divine purpose in your living a long life.

Saint Paul was instructive in his teachings with regard to this issue. Of course, we would rather be in heaven with God than being here. But that is NOT what we are called to do.

I recall a young speaker saying that they didn't believe in retirement plans or insurance. They said that we should simply leave everything in God's hands.

We have responsibilities to God, to ourselves, to our families, and to our brothers and sisters. And yes, our brothers and sisters include the poor, the disadvantaged, the discriminated against, the sick and the prisoner.

I've been vaccinated. And I still were a mask when I go into enclosed pubic spaces. I plan on that being the situation for the rest of this year and probably half way into next year. Wearing a mask is just simply the thing to do these days. Eventually the attitude will probably become "why are you still wearing a mask?".

But until then, if nothing else, wearing a mask is just an accessory, like wearing a hat or a tie or a scarf etc. And one can always wear a scarf or a bandana as an accessory and use it as a mask. I really don't see why it's an issue.

There used to be a time when everyone wore hats

There is still the flu out there. Now that mask wearing has become a thing, I will also continue to wear a mask in enclosed public spaces where it appears I'm rebreathing the exhalations of numerous people.

I wear a hat myself most of the time outdoors. It became a habit from the military and from living in semi-tropical climates for a couple of decades. I've got maybe twenty different hats, mostly fedoras and driving caps. But a couple of cowboy hats, too, and a couple of military hats from my service.

Well, if the Body of Christ would behave as the Body of Christ is instructed in scripture, people in the Body of Christ would not need retirement plans or insurance.

What that young speaker doesn't understand is that the Body of Christ is supposed to be, literally, "God's hands." Even when God dropped manna from the sky, people had to collect it, "some collecting much, some collecting little," and then redistributed it so that "nobody had too much and nobody had too little." The manna didn't just fall from the sky into each person's dinner plate.

Thank you for demonstrating your mistrust of those "with power".

You see, I trust professionals such as the CDC Director Michelle Walinsky - and have no reason to question her motive is anything other than saving American lives lives. I also respect her education and vast knowledge, just as I do other professionals in other areas of life.

What do you think she has to gain by deceiving us?
