So, what is the issue? What did she do or not do? Why did they want her out of leadership?
Take a look at post #66 on the thread entitled
Republican House Leadership: Capitulated to Trump's Big Lie

Aw, he must really have a soft spot for her. He didn't mention her looks or her... wherever.

His forced early retirement must have softened him up a bit. I also like how he calls her a warmonger right after calling Biden out for being too soft in international politics.

Cheney seems to me to have smarts at least politically. She can see which way the tide is turning, before it recedes far down the beach. My guess is she's not just principled, but willing to play the longer game, looking to 2024 or 2028, once it becomes very clear to more in the party that Trump is a dead end politically, and more will admit that she was right. She will look better and better in that way over time.
Being more speculative: maybe even as a future presidential candidate, having more cred even than Romney might be possible. Romney would have been a pretty good chance to win candidate if against someone less strong than Obama.

You guys just crack me up with the way you spin things. This is not about silencing Liz Cheney. She is free to continue making all of the comments she has made in the past. This is about having someone who is in the minority of opinions on many issues in the GOP as one of the leaders of the GOP in the House. The GOP has every right to select someone else to be that leader. So this is actually about liberals trying to spin this to cancel that right to select someone else without mass media backlash. It seems that the meaning of liberal has changed to someone who is extremely tolerant of all others who share their opinion and extremely intolerant of all those who do not.

That what we said -- she was cancelled because of her opinions.

He does realize that she was fired from her job Caucus Chair and not as an elected official right?
I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt but past experience makes it hard to do.

The implication here is that saying the election wasn’t rigged against Trump is a minority opinion in the GOP. Do you agree with that?

Implications are so hard, it requires my being able to see into peoples heads and understand completely what they understand. I just do not have that ability.

The left, who champion Republicans only when they are useful for their agenda, are promoting the narrative that you mention.

While the Republicans speak of a much wider scope of reasons for her removal.

I don't have any reasons to believe the left, when the right has said the same things repeatedly.

That's a whole lot of words to say - I don't deal with implications, hearsay, innuendos and gossip.

Or..... She was voted out of her position in Republican Party Leadership by her peers. You know, the ones who voted her in to the position. According to them they had irreconcilable differences, they want to do everything to move the party forward and she wanted to focus on keeping Trump out of future office.

Just an aside:

Personal opinion: If you voice your opposition to a person because they are a rude, unmannerly name caller by acting rude, unmannerly and calling them names. You have voluntarily given up all credence to your position.

A yes would have been even fewer words.

It doesn't seem as though anyone could find that too difficult to "get," does it?
