The Abraham peace agreement that the Trump administration negotiated brought stability and the possibility at long last of peace in the Middle East. In less than six months Biden has destroyed the hopes of peace. Biden made it clear that he supports the PLO position for separate states, has been cold towards Israel, creating doubt that the U.S. will support it, and said that his administration will return to funding the PLO without any agreement on their part not to participate in or sponsor terrorist attacks against Israel. Not surprisingly we now have the beginnings of a new disastrous conflict. Trump blames Biden 'weakness, lack of support for Israel' for Hamas strikes
Per the Biden administration:
On February 2, 2021, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said that "the United States will continue to urge other countries to normalize relations with Israel." and that normalization is "not a substitute for Israeli-Palestinian peace... We hope that Israel and other countries in the region join together in a common effort to build bridges and... contribute to tangible progress towards the goal of advancing a negotiated peace between Israelis and Palestinians."

The Palestinians were never part of this Accord.

Ah yes... I was wondering when Biden was going to get the blame for the ongoing and centuries long conflict in the Middle East.

The moment Donald ordered his followers to give it.

Instead of blaming Biden for this, why not blame the Israelis for trying to evict Palestinians from their homes in favor of settlers, and for raiding the Al Aqsa mosque and injuring a bunch of people in the process?
I think this bears repeating. How can anyone support the eviction of Palestinians from their homes in favor of settlers while saying that Palestinians have no right of return to their homes that were taken away in 1967? If you don't believe in fairness, simply state that now and stop pretending as if fairness, as opposed to domination, has always been your goal. And if domination is your goal, why are you surprised people will fight that? How can you say they are wrong for responding to such aggression?

Israel cannot survive without US funding. So if relations are weak, this is a green light for hostilities for the surrounding nations.
The rockets are coming from the West Bank, inside Israel proper. Think of the “bad old days” of Jim Crow but with more rockets.

Anyone who believes in Biblical Authority (ehem....the Catholic Church) wouldn't even bother to propose such inane questions.

So is it a correct notion, then, that religious is the cause of wars? Would Christ be in agreement with killing and fighting for the right to earthly possessions?

Jesus is the authority. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for theirs is the Kingdom of God"

err..."Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

Yes. If history has shown us anything it is that the Catholic church has never ever been wrong in their understanding of the bible in relation to world events. Just ask Galileo Galilei.

Well, it was God who gave it to the Hebrews knowing and helping them fight for it......so, draw your own conclusions......

The Palestinians seem to disagree with that interpretation. It is almost as if mere mortals making claims of being able to interpret with absolute authority based upon nothing but religious doctrine solves nothing.
