Faith, Hope and Love

I recently finished reading the Bible during this isolation period and lock down. Probably the best use of my time I could imagine. It is so true how those with a little will be given more. I'm speaking of faith in God, of which I have always possessed some. I was saved during revival week as a teenager in a small Baptist church in the Midwest. I just never finished reading the Bible. Now I'm 50 and am literally in awe how God protected me all those years. The Footprints poem applies to me. I'm truly humbled and willing to learn some of what I don't understand. It's great to find a place to share my fellowship in God's word. I'm learning how to plant seeds now and eager to serve Him with all my heart. I offer honesty and an open mind with my hopefully rational discourse hahaha. Also a lot of humor. Laughter seems to heal. I look forward to increasing my faith, hope and love. Thank you God for your blessings.

Thank you very much. I reckon I simply need a more productive outlet than blogging or tweeting with the pagans hahaha. That seems counterproductive to my spiritual growth. I appreciate your reply.

It can be counter productive, but it can also reinforce us. A good approach is to use the discussions to really delve into our faith and theology, it can bring us to new spiritual levels of understanding God and his plan for humanity.

Thank you my friend. I must say, everyone seems very gracious and giving here so far. I enjoy hanging out with people who have an optimistic attitude. It is such a stark contrast to posting on blogs like the hill or breitbart. Everyone seems childish and pessimistic. Your warm welcome will certainly keep me coming back here. Thanks for the warm welcome. I agree, reading my bible helps me every time I pick it up. I thought maybe I'll learn Spanish. Then I remembered how long I've procrastinated finishing the Word. I'm learning Español via Duolingo! I thought it would be cool to read the Bible in a different language, but not sure if I will. I'd really just love to learn the Koine Greek.

That is very nice of you. I appreciate your reply and the time you offered. I have already felt more of His grace as well as faith. The bible speaks truth. The worries of this world do not seem so important in the grand scheme of it all. This site is a refreshing change from the "regular" Internet. I'm glad I googled Christian forums. I like fellowship with mature, God fearing adults. Have a great day my friend.

There is so much to learn and so little time. I learned some German in high school, but I think Spanish would be more useful today in America. Sometimes I feel like I'm on an island all alone, even on the Internet. Here on CF I find many like minded people who enjoy learning too. That is a comfort. Thanks for your sharing and your time.
