I cannot help but think that this young wife has been brainwashed that she MUST STAY with her husband "NO MATTER WHAT"!

No woman, on her own accord, would CONTINUE having children, (she's pregnant now for the 7th time) with a man who has been accused of horrible sexual crimes. This is not the 1st time. She's probably been told she must save the "family reputation" and stand by her husband at all costs.

I wish I could communicate directly with her and tell her that God doesn't expect her to stay in this horrible marriage and that God has something better for her.

Jesus Teaches About Divorce
31 “It was also said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a written divorce paper.’ 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife is causing his wife to be guilty of adultery. The only reason for a man to divorce his wife is if she has been unfaithful to him. And anyone who marries that divorced woman is guilty of adultery.
~Matthew 5:31-32 (ICB)*

*Other translations say, 'Sexual Immorality,' making the condition more vague. Biblical rules also apply to EVERYONE! Please see the link below for more details:

TIPS TO TEACH KIDS MODESTY IN A KARDASHIAN WORLD

Bible Gateway passage: Matthew 5 - King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Matthew 5 - New King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Matthew 5 - New International Version
Bible Gateway passage: Matthew 5 - International Children’s Bible

1 I may speak in different languages of men or even angels. But if I do not have love, then I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal. 2 I may have the gift of prophecy; I may understand all the secret things of God and all knowledge; and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains. But even with all these things, if I do not have love, then I am nothing. 3 I may give everything I have to feed the poor. And I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing these things if I do not have love.

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. 5 Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it. 6 Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices over the truth. 7 Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always continues strong.

8 Love never ends. There are gifts of prophecy, but they will be ended. There are gifts of speaking in different languages, but those gifts will end. There is the gift of knowledge, but it will be ended. 9 These things will end, because this knowledge and these prophecies we have are not complete. 10 But when perfection comes, the things that are not complete will end. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child; I made plans like a child. When I became a man, I stopped those childish ways. 12 It is the same with us. Now we see as if we are looking into a dark mirror. But at that time, in the future, we shall see clearly. Now I know only a part. But at that time I will know fully, as God has known me. 13 So these three things continue forever: faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.

Loving Others
8 Do not owe people anything. But you will always owe love to each other. The person who loves others has obeyed all the law. 9 The law says, “You must not be guilty of adultery. You must not murder anyone. You must not steal. You must not want to take your neighbor’s things.” All these commands and all others are really only one rule: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” 10 Love never hurts a neighbor. So loving is obeying all the law.

Bible Gateway passage: Romans 13 - International Children’s Bible

Your New Life with Other People
18 Wives, be under the authority of your husbands. This is the right thing to do in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be gentle to them.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things. This pleases the Lord.

21 Fathers, do not nag your children. If you are too hard to please, they may want to stop trying.

22 Slaves, obey your masters in all things. Do not obey just when they are watching you, to gain their favor. But serve them honestly, because you respect the Lord. 23 In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were working for the Lord, not for men. 24 Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which he promised to his people. You are serving the Lord Christ. 25 But remember that anyone who does wrong will be punished for that wrong. And the Lord treats everyone the same.

Bible Gateway passage: Colossians 3 - King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Colossians 3 - New King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Colossians 3 - New International Version
Bible Gateway passage: Colossians 3 - International Children’s Bible

Wives and Husbands
21 Be willing to obey each other. Do this because you respect Christ.

22 Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as of the Lord. 23 The husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. The church is Christ’s body—Christ is the Savior of the body. 24 The church is under the authority of Christ. So it is the same with you wives. You should be under the authority of your husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church. Christ died for the church 26 to make it belong to God. Christ used the word to make the church clean by washing it with water. 27 Christ died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride in all her beauty. He died so that the church could be pure and without fault, with no evil or sin or any other wrong thing in it. 28 And husbands should love their wives in the same way. They should love their wives as they love their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself. 29 No person ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church, 30 because we are parts of his body. 31 The Scripture says, “So a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife. And the two people will become one body.” 32 That secret truth is very important—I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 But each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself. And a wife must respect her husband.

Bible Gateway passage: Ephesians 5 - King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Ephesians 5 - New King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Ephesians 5 - New International Version
Bible Gateway passage: Ephesians 5 - International Children’s Bible

About Marriage
1 Now I will discuss the things you wrote to me about. It is good for a man not to marry. 2 But sexual immorality is a danger. So each man should have his own wife. And each woman should have her own husband. 3 The husband should give his wife all that she should have as his wife. And the wife should give her husband all that he should have as her husband. 4 The wife does not have power over her own body. Her husband has the power over her body. And the husband does not have power over his own body. His wife has the power over his body. 5 Do not refuse to give your bodies to each other. But you might both agree to stay away from intimate relations for a time. You might do this so that you can give your time to prayer. Then come together again. This is so that Satan cannot tempt you in your weakness. 6 I say this to give you permission. It is not a command. 7 I wish everyone were like me. But each person has his own gift from God. One has one gift, another has another gift.

8 Now for those who are not married and for the widows I say this: It is good for them to stay single as I am. 9 But if they cannot control their bodies, then they should marry. It is better to marry than to burn with lust.

10 Now I give this command for the married people. (The command is not from me; it is from the Lord.) A wife should not leave her husband. 11 But if she does leave, she must not marry again. Or she should go back to her husband. Also the husband should not divorce his wife.

12 For all the others I say this (I am saying this, not the Lord): A brother in Christ might have a wife who is not a believer. If she will live with him, he must not divorce her. 13 And a woman might have a husband who is not a believer. If he will live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 The husband who is not a believer is made holy through his believing wife. And the wife who is not a believer is made holy through her believing husband. If this were not true, then your children would not be clean. But now your children are holy.

15 But if the person who is not a believer decides to leave, let him leave. When this happens, the brother or sister in Christ is free. God called us to a life of peace. 16 Wives, maybe you will save your husband; and husbands, maybe you will save your wife. You do not know now what will happen later.

The Bible doesn't say that one must get divorced because of infidelity. It just says that it’s allowed.

She has a brother or a sister (or both, I can't remember) that offered to help her leave the first time Josh made national news for molesting his sisters and a family friend (or when he cheated on her, or when he roughed up a sex worker). I wish she would see that she does have options. Sadly she may stay with him and continue to have children with him even if he is in prison or if they have to live separately if he can not even legally be around his own children if he is convicted of possession of child inappropriate content (or child abuse images- children can not consent to make inappropriate content......I almost threw up typing that out). I think her in-laws control their finances and so she may feel that she has no way to support her children if she leaves. Plus this is how she has been raised to behave; it can not be easy for her to even see that she does have options. It's a sad situation for her and the kids all around. Whatever happens I hope she protects her kids. This goes deeper and sicker than infidelity (which is not usually a depraved sexual crime against children).

"The Bible doesn't say that one must get divorced because of infidelity. It just says that it’s allowed."

That's true... But child inappropriate contentography--if it's proven to be true--is a whole other ballgame.

NO WOMAN--especially one with children--should stay with a man who does that!!!

I agree people are people, regardless of what sex they belong to, and decisions should be placed on the individual level, as we're all different.

...But the charges are certainly concerning, and it's really bad.

I agree that it's her choice to make whether or not she decides to leave him or not. But because she is a mother of 6, soon-to-be 7, children, I think she should get her kids out of there. The guy was already a skeeze before this case. He had molested 5 girls back in the early 2000s, 4 of whom were his sisters, and the youngest of whom was 4-5 years old at the time. He has gone on adultery websites like Ashley Madison and had not 1, but 2 accounts on there. And on one of the accounts, he used another man's likeness. He has also had sex with a inappropriate content actress, who has stated that he was rough with her in bed, and had even hurt her. And now, he is in trouble for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.

He has had countless years to change. He has had dozens of chances to be a decent human being, much less a good Christian, and he blew them all. This man is not good for her, and especially not for her children. I hope, for her children's sake, that she will get out. I just hope that the law will step in and make sure that he doesn't hurt or exploit any more people.

Over 200 child inappropriate content pics found on Josh Duggar’s computer | Entertainment | The Christian Post Honestly, I believe this KIND should get the Death Penalty. Give him 90 days to make his peace with God and be done with it. It would prevent anything else from EVER happening and maybe would put FEAR in the hearts of others tempted to walk the same path.

TRUE!!!

But that doesn't mean I don't have a right to give my opinion.

(Even the judge in the case says she finds it very concerning that many of the sexual images on his computer were of children that are the same ages as his children.)

I swear, this case just keeps getting worse and worse. Just when you think he can't much lower, he does. If the Homeland Security agent Gerald Faulkner said that the 200+ images he found were in his top five worst he has ever had to examine, this is not a good sign. And from what I've read, one of the CSAM he had was a snuff film made by an Australian pedophile who went on to murder one of his victims.

I just want them to lock him in a room and throw away the key. This is disgusting. I don't think he's disturbed or brainwashed, I think he's just evil. An evil, narcissistic sociopath who likes manipulating those around him and sexually preying on innocents. And of course the judge let him out on bail in spite of all the red flags, and all the evidence, and even her own apparent hesitation. "Don't make me regret this decision"? Really? Have she SEEN his track record? Have she seen Gothard/ATI/IBLP's track record? He's going to make her regret her decision. He's good at that.

The justice system likely might go easy on him because of his privilege as a famous white man with a rich, famous father, while young black and Latino people can end up in prison for 30+ years for a non-violent crime. Disgusting. :rage:

Child inappropriate contentography is a very, very serious crime imho. That said, I'm curious - accusations aside, has he actually been convicted of anything yet (besides here)?

No. But he has admitted to molesting four of his sisters and the family's babysitter when he was a teenager. Also, while not illegal, he had had extramarital affairs with inappropriate content stars and on Ashley Madison. He had even taken another man's likeness on one of the accounts, which I believed he was actually sued for (I don't know if the lawsuit went anywhere, though).

Because of these things, and the fact that the Department of Homeland Security has been investigating him and his workplace since 2019, it seems like he probably did it. Again, by law, he is innocent until proven guilty, but that doesn't mean that he didn't do it, and the evidence seems to indicate that he did do what he was guilty of. And the fact that he had that smug grin on his mugshot and was smirking and laughing during his hearing seems suspect.

If Anna stays with Josh, (and he's convicted), she'll have to choose him over her children. I can't see the state letting the children stay in the same house with him.
Anna was told about Josh and his sisters before she married him. So, she knew what she was getting into.

This is what happens when people in bondage sin and receive no consequence for it.

Sex addiction is like all addictions in one respect - whether is be inappropriate content, food, alcohol, drug, bitterness, rage, or stealing - the "high" comes at a greater cost with each and every "use".

For example:
  • For the sugar addict - a regular size Snickers one day, just isn't enough. Now they buy, hide, and sneak-eat the king size.
  • For the person in bondage to bitterness - say over an ugly divorce, one day it just isn't enough to rage over the ex-spouse privately. They have to rage against the ex-spouse in front of everyone they meet - including the children, the Sunday School class, their job, etc. The rage "high" is costly and they lose friendships.
  • And for the sex or inappropriate content addict - as Ted Bundy, the now executed serial rapist and killer said - it just escalates and escalates. One day just looking at fake photos of "dead" rape victims isn't enough. You have to actually go out and start raping and end up killing.
Josh started out molesting young girls. He never paid a consequence for it.

Then he starts, as a husband and father, having sex with inappropriate content stars and joining a website FOR adulterers. He never paid a consequence for it.

And now he has downloaded more than 200 photos of children being sexually abused. Many of the photos, the feds have said are of children 18 months old.

Will he pay a consequence now? His children will pay the price, his family, his wife. They will forever be linked to him. But will he pay a price?

Since the stakes are so high, being it was that Homeland security went after him, I would wager if he is convicted he will be in jail for most of his future. He would have to be segregated to because the main population would be likely too kill him because of the nature of his crime

I would hope so. I don't see how she's going to support herself and 7 children. Just paying for childcare would consume her whole paycheck.

I am sure Jim Bob will take care of her and the kids. Last time when they set him to "reduction camp" they looked after her and the kids. She doesn't work her sole job is to have kids per the cult
