It wouldn't bother me if the GOP (under Trump's control) never won another election again.

I don't know your age. However, you might have a bit of patience. Trump has led the Republican Party for 5 years. It appears that we are at another transition in our political history.

The last was in the late sixties after the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Segregationists moved from the Democratic to the Republican Party. In 1968 and 1972, the Southern strategy (and the right wing evangelical Moral Majority) was enough to elect Nixon.

The evangelical right has voted Republican ever since, although with little influence under Reagan, Bush and Bush.
===================
I counsel patience. I don't know what the political scene will be like in 2028, not far from now. Change could take until 2032, after the next set of redrawing of districts. That not long for this major a change. The Republican Party of today will not be one of the two major parties. There is no way a party with such a base can survive the changes in US demographics.

I suspect any easy 2024 presidential victory. But real change won't come until legislatures are in the hands of non-Trumpers.

There is a need to distinguish 'the left' and 'progressives' from the Democratic Party as seen in the House of Representatives and White House. I believe the conflation is misleading and from some Republican sources, disingenuous.

The USA is not remotely likely to vote for a Cuban style economy.
I hope you are right.

Yet trump lost. And continues his divisive rhetoric of "election fraud". This is an excuse for his lack of humility and it undermines American democracy. Republicans would do well to acknowledge his loss and try to create a platform to help their constituency, not help trump! Trump is out for personal revenge, not working for us. I can't understand how this fact eludes so many. Willful ignorance it seems. Peace
So Trump lost....How many times did Biden try to become president..he is one for three.

I have read the first of disciple Clint's articles. The Last Refuge (The Ragtag Bunch of conservative Misfits) is not exactly a neutral source!

During a roundtable discussion [in Florida]on the future of Venezuela, Cuban immigrant Maximo Alverez shares a warning about current political events in the United States from his own experience in Cuba.

Here is an extract from it:

'Socialism is nothing but communism during Halloween. There’s no such thing as socialism. America has always been the most socialist country in the world.' Three sentences; three contradictions.

And another:

'The only country in the world, no other country in the world that you can start a business from the trunk of your car ...' Taking the charitable view this demonstrates a profound ignorance of the wider world.

This stuff may fool Conservative Republicans, but it won't fool anyone else.

Bias noted. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions after reading the whole article, not just selected passages.

As I said, I have read the article. I copied a little as a sample to expose the partiality.

To me the article was just a Conservative who has lived mainly in the USA talking to a gathering of more Conservatives.

People who live in echo chambers only hear the sound of their own voice.

How many failed lawsuits did Biden try to become president?
Donald is 0-for-... what's the count again? 62? 63?

And this includes the SCOTUS rejecting frivolous lawsuits to overturn the election in Trump's favor.

"Three Trump appointees sit on the high court. In his push to get the most recent of his nominees, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, confirmed quickly, Trump said she would be needed for any post-election lawsuits. Barrett appears to have participated in both cases this week. None of the Trump appointees noted a dissent in either case." - Supreme Court rejects Republican attack on Biden victory
