I'm curious why the people doing the "audit" wouldn't want outside people watching them while they're "auditing"?

I have no problem with these recounts, if there was fraud then we need to know. If there wasn't then we need to be confident with that too. Our electoral system needs to be able to stand up to any scrutiny. Note: I didn't vote for Trump, so the hope of turning over the election is not my motivation for supporting all examinations of the system.

My problem with all those "we just want to make sure!" arguments: it'll never change the minds of the people who think President Biden stole the election, because that belief isn't based on facts, it's basically religious dogma at this point:

and as such no reasoning or "auditing" result is going to make the slightest difference to them. As I predicted earlier when people were saying "Well if we just do a recount, then this whole thing will go away! Why would anyone have a problem with that...unless they have something to hide?" So they did the recounts. And then no fraud was found they said "No we need another recount! This one will settle it for all time! And why would you have a problem with that...unless you have something to hide?" so they did MORE recounts. And now they're doing this sham "audit" because for most people calling for this? it's NEVER been about "making sure the election process is uncompromised" it's ALWAYS going to be about "I don't like the results, so it HAS to have been stolen!!". And every time people go along with these sham "audits" and they don't get the results they want they're going to claim "That one was rigged as well, but this NEXT one is going to show I was right all along!!"

1) Apparently "Wolseley" didn't get thew memo that the 2020 Election ballots in Georgia were counted on 3 separate occasions - but that didn't stop President Trump telephoning its Republican Secretary of State to find him an additional 11,820 votes!

2) It was President Trump who attempted to litigate the challenge the election results on 50 different occasions - apparently those "signed affidavits as witnesses of election anomalies or fraud" couldn't withstand legal scrutiny!

3) Ballots being counted by the private firm, "Cyber Ninjas," with its close ties to the former President is an audit in name only - it has no legal standing!

The company's CEO, (Cyber Ninja) Doug Logan, promoted conspiracy theories about the integrity of the 2020 election on Twitter in January, the Arizona Republic first reported

Logan was also the author of a document called “Election Fraud Facts & Details” that Sidney Powell, the conservative attorney who is now embroiled in a defamation lawsuit concerning her election conspiracy theories, shared on her website. In the document, he props up the Venezuela narrative and a similarly absurd and debunked
theory regarding Chinese investment in the voting machine manufacturer Dominion. Dominion has been the target of outlandish and unsubstantiated claims of rigging machines against Trump.

If there is a deep state conspiracy that is capable of undermining the sitting government to such a degree that it is powerless to maintain the integrity of elections.

Then 'the sitting government' is no more than an impotent relic, and there is nothing to be gained by ....wait for it....rigging elections to replace 'the sitting government'.

Trump doesn't have a leg to stand on. He lost the popular vote in 2016 by 3 million and by 7 million in 2020.
Recounts have already been done.
During his administration, his corrupt appointees, disastrous pandemic response, dictatorial aspirations, and erratic foreign policy made Americans distrust the government.
That he is still trying in absentia is unconscionable.
He lost. Definitively, decisively.
