Abell 3827 Galactic Cluster. The strange blue structures surrounding the central galaxies are gravitationally lensed views of a much more distant galaxy behind the cluster.

Another curiosity from my hometown. When I was very young, we used to go on "history walks" with my school. We often use to walk the perimeter of the city walls and listen to the teacher tell us stories from over the past 2000 years. Some of the stories were light hearted and amusing, other tales were gruesome and barbaric! But this story has always baffled me!
This is "The House that Moved", which I understand is still in use as a bridal shop!
Basically, the building dates back to the 1400's. In the 1960s they had to build new roads to accommodate the increasing amount of cars in the city and this wonderful building faced the threat of demolition, until it was decided it should be moved instead! It was apparently a feat of engineering. Using steel rails and winches the entire house was moved approximately 60 metres (224 feet) down the road.
And here is some historical footage of the house being moved, filmed back in the 1960s!
Photograph of fields on a misty morning. Captured on camera a few years ago, this photo was framed, mounted, and lovingly presented above the toilet in my bathroom! I don't think my efforts at photography will ever become part of the Tate Modern collection, but every time the chain is flushed, I cannot help but hope that the likes of PIcasso, Constable and Van Gogh would find comfort and relief in such picturesque surroundings.
Photo taken in the village of Cheslyn Hay just a few miles where I live. Tonight I enjoyed a meal with friends in an Indian restaurant, the first time I have been able to eat out in over a year!
Wales is a constituent country forming part of the United Kingdom. It has some of the most beautiful mountains and seascapes in the entire British Isles. It is officially bilingual with many learning Welsh as a first language both at home and at school. Signs throughout Wales are displayed in both Welsh and English, as depicted in the picture below. I live about an hour from the border and like to visit for day trips and overnight breaks, however recently it has not been possible due to the Covid restrictions. I look forward to booking a few day's getaway when the lockdown is over. Croeso i Gymru!
Did I tell you guys that I found my Green Machine that was stolen about 5 months ago?!
Yeah, my newest ebike was stolen from my workplace...I had written it off.
However, glory to Yah, I came across it about four months later... miles and miles away!
There was $1200.00 worth of damage to her, but that's all taken care of now, and I'm heading up to L.A. from S.D. to pick her up from where I bought her!
Of course, I'm gonna visit with family for a couple of days while I'm at it as well!
