Remember that it takes like 20 days for the vaccine to fully kick in. FYI, the day or two after the second shot is a doozy. I came to work but I was completely worthless. Another coworker was down for 3 days completely.

PS 5G reception rocks! However, you get advertisements for Bill Gates every few hours :)

PPS Congrats!

I am well-pleased with you, Michie! Excellent work in leading by example!

Either lead by example, or be made an example of, so sayeth the Lord.

In this following passage, the Lord Jesus Christ lead by example, and expects all of us to do the same. They also practised good hygiene, a requirement for good health:

Jesus Washes His Followers’ Feet
1 It was almost time for the Jewish Passover Feast. Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world and go back to the Father. He had always loved those who were his own in the world, and he loved them all the way to the end.

2 Jesus and his followers were at the evening meal. The devil had already persuaded Judas Iscariot to turn against Jesus. (Judas was the son of Simon.) 3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him power over everything. He also knew that he had come from God and was going back to God. 4 So during the meal Jesus stood up and took off his outer clothing. Taking a towel, he wrapped it around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into a bowl and began to wash the followers’ feet. He dried them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

6 Jesus came to Simon Peter. But Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”

7 Jesus answered, “You don’t understand what I am doing now. But you will understand later.”

8 Peter said, “No! You will never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “If I don’t wash your feet, then you are not one of my people.”

9 Simon Peter answered, “Lord, after you wash my feet, wash my hands and my head, too!”

10 Jesus said, “After a person has had a bath, his whole body is clean. He needs only to wash his feet.
And you men are clean, but not all of you.” 11 Jesus knew who would turn against him. That is why Jesus said, “Not all of you are clean.”

12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and sat down again. Jesus asked, “Do you understand what I have just done for you? 13 You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ And this is right, because that is what I am. 14 I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. So you also should wash each other’s feet. 15 I did this as an example for you. So you should do as I have done for you. 16 I tell you the truth. A servant is not greater than his master. A messenger is not greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, you will be happy if you do them.

18 “I am not talking about all of you. I know those I have chosen. But what the Scripture said must happen: ‘The man who ate at my table has now turned against me.’ 19 I am telling you this now before it happens. Then when it happens you will believe that I am he. 20 I tell you the truth. Whoever accepts anyone I send also accepts me. And whoever accepts me also accepts the One who sent me.”

The Pharisees, the religious elite of their day, were driven purely by selfish ambition, such as money, power, and prestige:

13 “No servant can serve two masters. He will hate one master and love the other. Or he will follow one master and refuse to follow the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

God’s Law Cannot Be Changed
14 The Pharisees were listening to all these things. They made fun of Jesus because they all loved money. 15 Jesus said to them, “You make yourselves look good in front of people. But God knows what is really in your hearts. The things that are important to people are worth nothing to God.
~Luke 16:13-15 (ICB)

Bible Gateway passage: Luke 16 - King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Luke 16 - New King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: Luke 16 - New International Version
Bible Gateway passage: Luke 16 - International Children’s Bible

45 There were many Jews who had come to visit Mary. They saw what Jesus did. And many of them believed in him. 46 But some of them went to the Pharisees. They told the Pharisees what Jesus had done. 47 Then the leading priests and Pharisees called a meeting of the Jewish council. They asked, “What should we do? This man is doing many miracles. 48 If we let him continue doing these things, everyone will believe in him. Then the Romans will come and take away our Temple and our nation.”

Jesus Accuses the Leaders
1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his followers. Jesus said, 2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees have the authority to tell you what the law of Moses says. 3 So you should obey and follow whatever they tell you. But their lives are not good examples for you to follow. They tell you to do things, but they don’t do the things themselves. 4 They make strict rules and try to force people to obey them. But they themselves will not try to follow any of those rules.

5 “The reason they do good things is so other people will see them. They make the boxes of Scriptures that they wear bigger and bigger. And they make their special prayer clothes very long so that people will notice them. 6 Those Pharisees and teachers of the law love to have the most important seats at the feasts. And they love to have the most important seats in the synagogues. 7 They love people to show respect to them in the marketplaces. And they love to have people call them ‘Teacher.’

8 “But you must not be called ‘Teacher.’ You are all brothers and sisters together. You have only one Teacher. 9 And don’t call any person on earth ‘Father.’ You have one Father. He is in heaven. 10 And you should not be called ‘Master.’ You have only one Master, the Christ. 11 He who serves you as a servant is the greatest among you. 12 Whoever makes himself great will be made humble. Whoever makes himself humble will be made great.

Hey guys. I just thought of something I thought I should mention. I was asking about the vaccination cards and asked if I should get them laminated. I was told no because the laminate will absorb the ink. They told me to get laminate sleeves. I could not find sleeves for them as the cards are an odd size. So I just made copies of the original and had the copy laminated to carry. The original will stay at home.

I also heard not to get the card laminated because down the road there may be booster shots, they don't know yet, and that info. should be added to the original card.

My vaccination card got lost and I only wish I got it laminated!
Fortunately, my GP surgery have a record of the vaccinations and tell me they can print off the record if I ever need it as evidence!

I got a notice on my phone that they were recording it with the CDC. But they said it’s good to have the card if you need to travel because of emergency, etc.

I'm happy for you, Michie! :) I had a pretty good flu reaction, but that just means the immune system is doing its work. Honestly, it was the best flu experience I have ever had. I knew it was coming, knew it wouldn't last long, and knew the benefits outweighed the short bit of discomfort I was experiencing, lol.

My arm 'got sick' with the first shot. The second dose, I will probably have to rest for the few days. I did have Covid in March of last year.

I just got a short bout of the chills, was tired and just generally buggy feeling with a sore arm with the first one. So far so good on this second one though. My arm is not as sore as the first time either. Yay!

Prayers you breeze through this second vaccination. You’ve been through enough with having Covid!
