Well if you want to get technical....I believe that Biden's stimulus plan is technically a bill.
The group of plaintiffs includes farmers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Ohio. According to the lawsuit, the Biden administration's COVID-19 stimulus plan provides $4 billion to forgive loans for socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers who are Black, American Indian, Hispanic, Alaskan native, Asian American or Pacific Islander.
Once the bill was passed....it's technically a law.
You can deny this all you want.....but it explicitly states which races can apply for the loans.
You may not have any sympathy for whites....what about jews? They're excluded too it appears.
You know what wasn't a law? Redlining.
Redlining was a practice. It denied people loans by race.
Are you against this sort of racist trash or are you defending it?
It seems rather clear that you're defending it.
So defend it. Defend racial discrimination. Stand up for what you believe.
So you're angry that Biden's bill has measures in it to combat systemic racism? Got it.
It comes down to the fact that there are those who, like me, see systemic racism and those who, like you, do not.
Since those who do not see it are in denial of its existence then any measures to remedy it are seen as "racist". This was cleverly pointed out already by
@Oneiric1975 when she said that it was funny how quickly people see racism against their own demographic despite failing to see it against those of other demographics.
If you want to perpetuate a system in which racism is endemic then you shouldn't be surprised when race is used in providing remedy. If you find the remedy "racist" then it's only because of the racist system that you choose to deny is racist.
What's your solution to the racism that black (and other) people have been very loudly and explicitly telling us about for decades? The systemic racism which they have been literally taking to the streets about and ramping up how explicitly and overtly they have been in the present time?
Your solution - and correct me if I'm wrong - is to simply deny that such racism exists, to say that they are wrong, to say nothing needs to be done, to blame the victims for complaining about something because you believe it doesn't exist.
Well, the majority of society is waking up to the reality that it does exist and must be addressed as it directly affects the lives of our fellow Americans. It's been presented to you and those with your viewpoint numerous times but you ignore it.
The only viable solution at this point is to actively combat the systemic racism with direct action, much as affirmative action was intended to do and has done. It's a good way for those of us who know systemic racism exists to say to those who deny it, "Oh...do I have your attention now?"
So continue to deny the real racism. The response will of course appear "racist" to you because it is indeed a direct reflection, the other side of the coin, of the systemic racism that it's fighting. It's just like during the Civil Rights movement, when cops would protect black people from angry white mobs. Very easy for the white people then to say "That's racist, you are giving them special protection because they're black and you're not giving that to us because we're white!!!" - and they did say that, among many other things. They were content to ignore the racism that brought them to that point but not happy when they faced justice for being part of it.
And that's what we're seeing here. Cry "racist" all you want but nobody will take seriously someone who cries "racism!" after that same person has affirmed up till now that racism does not even exist.
Keep defending that trash if you want but I can't accept your complaints of "racism" after you've told me repeatedly that it doesn't exist in this country.
