Beloved ones,
Don’t be discouraged.

Are not those who are encouraged — those whose hearts strengthened ?

Have we not heard this ?
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. -Ephesians 6:10

Are those who are strong in the Lord — those who are the doers of the word ?

Yet, we heard that they are in the strength of His might.

So we can consider those who are the doers of the word that they are in the strength of His might.

How can they be in the strength of His might ? Yes, they can be in the strength of His might because God gives them strength so that they can be doers of the word.

For this is what we have heard:
that according to the riches of His glory He ( God the Father ) may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being (hearts), -Ephesians 3:16
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith'that you, being rooted and grounded in love, -Ephesians 3:17

Do we not hear if we pray, God the Father can grant our hearts to be strengthened through His Spirit?

Aren’t those who encouraged in the Lord — those who are strengthen by His Holy Spirit? Yes, they are.

Aren’t those who are strong in the Lord - those who receive the strength of His might? For we heard that God the Father grant our hearts to be strengthen with power through His Spirit.

So we can consider that those who receive the strength of His might — they are those whose hearts are strengthen with power through His Spirit.

Have not heard that God the Father strengthen our hearts so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith? What does this mean?

This is what we have heard:
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. -John 15:5

When Christ dwell in our hearts! Isn’t it said that we can bear much fruit? So when we bear much fruit! Doesn’t that please God the Father ? When we have pleased the Father ! Have we not done the will of Him who sent Christ? Yes, we have. That means when we bear much fruits, we are the doers of the word.

So beloved,
Hear what the psalmist have said :
Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His presence continually! -Psalms 105:4

Yes, beloved, let us be encouraged to seek His strength so that we can be doers of the word.

Doers of the word live the word and have Jesus living in them. Jesus promises us this in Chapter 14 of the epistle of John.

i think we have to be very careful that we do not become demanding in His strength but rather weak and humble, loving true God and neighbour, so He can be stronger yet.

A praying heart can achieve much more than many hands can do. Isn't it true that a loving heart knows the right words to use and the right things to do?

So often we focus on doing, in my Church as well, that often the heart has gone out of it. Yet buts start when we are not operating out of love any more, for then duties become chores and we berate our otherwise called brothers and sisters not helping us. i have seen this time and again in our midst.

If people are inactive, grow them love for God and neighbour, rather than having a go at them, i reckon.

Love God loving people, in particular those who have fallen low.

That God's peace dwells in your heart always.

Dear Jeshu,
We can never be too demanding on the Lord’s strength !

For we heard:
Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, He takes up the coastlands like fine dust. -Isaiah 40:15

Our strength are nothing compared to His.

That is why apostle Paul pray this for us :

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, -Ephesians 1:16
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, -Ephesians 1:17
......
and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might -Ephesians 1:19

So for us who believe in Christ, it is of importance that we know that we are strengthened through His Spirit.

For what purpose, this is what we have heard:
And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. -Ezekiel 36:27

So when we are strengthened through His Spirit, we are caused to walk according to what God the Father has commanded through His Son. Thus we can be doers of the word.

Dear Jeshu,
I understand your compassion for those who are inactive in your church. Despite that they may have reason or may have no reason at all to help, it is good to reach out in love.
For being angry at them doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.

Considering that those have helped in the church may be what they are doing is for the right cause. But berating others can be considered to defile a person.

This is also what we have heard:
Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. -Romans 14:4

Dear Jeshu,
You should also consider that those who have berated others may repent and be found back in the Lord’s grace.

Who are considered to be humble before the Lord ? Who are considered to be the doers of the word?

Dear Jeshu,
It is understandable why many in the church are discouraged to see those who do not help out.

It is understandable that many found themselves later discouraged at the church activity itself.

The church activity with the right cause; isn’t it enough ? What went wrong ?

This is what we have heard:
and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. -1 Corinthians 12:6

So what I consider what went wrong is that they are not empowered by God. Why I consider that ?

If those who help in church activity have been empowered by God, they would have the power to release forgiveness to those who offend them.

And that those who don’t help in church activity, should consider that they cause grief to those who help and be empowered to come to be reconciled.

I don’t know why or the reason those who are not helping in church activity. Is it because they consider that this church activity is not empowered by God ? or may be for other reasons. When you reach for those do not help! May be some you find have valid reason or some may not.

Do you not find many suffer some for what is right and some what is wrong ?

Is it not those who suffer what is right —- suffer for righteousness’ sake ? If they have ! Don’t you think that they should persevere ?

Those who suffer for what is wrong— shouldn’t they repent and get back on the Lord’s grace ?

What should both do and don’t church activity — consider ?
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. -Hebrews 12:14

How should we strive with peace with everyone? Should we not consider ourselves weak ? — that we could be weaken by flesh.

Shouldn’t we who are weak and poor spiritually consider to be humble before God and others ?

Doesn’t the Lord our God give grace to humble? What grace do He give us ?

You then, my child, BE STRENGTHENED by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, -2 Timothy 2:1

The grace that is in Christ Jesus STRENGTHEN us to release forgiveness to others, just as He forgives us.

That is the Lord have said before:
Go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners." -Matthew 9:13

So let us be reconciled to one another. As God show mercy to us, we should show mercy to others.

As we heard :
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. -Galatians 6:1

Also, let us remember the lovingkindness of Holy Spirit :
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. -Romans 8:26

Doesn’t the Spirit intercede for us the offenders or transgressors or sinners ? Yes, He does.

That is why apostle Paul have said this :
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. -Romans 8:5

Aren’t many who are involved and not involved in church activities still weak — that they set their minds on the flesh ?

Aren’t there many who involved in church activity and not in church activity —set their minds on the things of the Spirit?

For those whose minds are ruled by the Holy Spirit, — wouldn’t they have life and peace ? Yes, they have.

This we see evident in the lives of those who received the the testimonies of the apostles to the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ with power.

What church activities they have done, this is what we have heard:
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. -Acts 2:42
And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. -Acts 2:43

So it is evident in their activities, that God empowered them all in everyone.

Dear ones,
I find it is important that we discuss about “can God empower church activities?”.
Of course,we believe God can. What we had done —- what we missed ? Why can’t we be doers of the word ?

Don’t we hear this :
In this the love of God was made manifest AMONG US, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. -1 John 4:9

Don’t we all long for the love of God manifest in church activities —-or among us ?
Why we when we participated church activities, that we found many lived through themselves or their old selves — rather than living through Christ ?

If everyone lives through Christ! Wouldn’t all church activities empowered with God’s love ?

Should we be discouraged when we found sinners among us, while we were doing church activities ? No.

Though we were grieved by their sins, or that we suffer !

What we should do then ? This is what we have heard:

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, -Colossians 3:12

bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. -Colossians 3:13

Wouldn’t we have many complaints against another while we did church activities ? Yet, we are acknowledged as God’s chosen and beloved ! If we put on compassionate hearts! Why compassionate ? Isn’t compassion that we show sympathy for the suffering of others.
Though we may suffer for what is right — others may have suffered for what is wrong ! Don’t we desire them to be reconciled with us ? Don’t we desire them to have also obtained the grace of God ? We should.

Why we should ? This is what we have heard:
If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. -1 John 4:20
And this commandment we have from Him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. -1 John 4:21

So we must love our brothers while doing church activities. Then we are considered as those who really love God.

You may say that you like that but still concern over those who just don’t listen ! This is what we have heard:
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, ...-1 John 4:1

They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. -1 John 4:5
We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. -1 John 4:6

Though we may do church activities, we need to discern the hearts or spirits of those who attend ! To see whether they are from God.
If those who are involved in church activities, speak from the world ! Will they listen to us ? They will not.

If those involved in church activities— have known God ! They are those who will listen to us !

So we cannot consider those who are involved in the church activities— all have the Spirit of Christ !

Then who are called brothers ? This is what we have heard:

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.-Galatians 6:1-2

So what we should do, then? This is what we have heard:
No one has ever seen God;
if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. -1 John 4:12

So though no one has ever seen God, everyone can see God in us if we love one another.

Just as we have heard :
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. -1 John 4:16

For God is love. So we abide in love ; by loving God so that we will be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Then we will be empowered by God’s strength to forgive others, bear with one another and love one another.

When we have abided in God by abiding in His commandments. That is when His love abide in us — that is when we are found in His love ; yes, that is when we found our activities are empowered by God’s love.

How do we know this ?This is what we have heard:

By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. -1 John 4:13

So by this we know any church activities are empowered with His love, when His love abide in us because His Spirit strengthen us to do things that accord with His will.
