You're right! MLK told his supporters to be peaceful. The civil rights movement was born as a result. At most I think it's just interesting that there is the usual GOP hypocrisy generation going on over a single Democrat doing a mild case of something that Trump and other Republicans did to a far greater degree. The Proud Boys exist, and everyone is keen to forget about them. Parts of Portland have been a warzone for several months now, plenty of rightwingers showing up there.

I was just trying to figure out where the "right wingers" in Portland doing the rioting are. All I could find are the Leftist BLM types that simply like to be violent and destructive. And I highly doubt the verdict in today's Minneapolis trial is going to change their behavior either, which will prove that it's just their natural instincts manifesting.

How should we acknowledge it? Are we supposed to break windows, overturn cars and throw firebombs at police? That's what the opposition has attempted to teach us, but thank goodness we're wiser than to follow their example.

Actually, I tried a "Chauvin Choke" last weekend at my academy. I'm 6'3" and 230. Roughly the same size as Floyd. Several people tried it on me, including a 180 lb advanced rank. It sucked and my neck was sore for a day, but nobody could get any sort of sustained choke or compression.
