So we are in the process of adopting two of my nieces (long story), but we are also trying to conceive one of our own. It hasn't happened yet. I just found on an internet search someone saying positioning plays a big impact (most likely to get pregnant if the man is behind the woman, then woman on top, missionary being least likely). I tried googling but typing in sexual positions kind of took my search places I'd rather not go. Does anyone have any practical advice or opinion on this?

Don't google without strict controls. As you found out, a lot of abominations become visible.
It is mostly all nonsense, and not harmless nonsense, but very harmful to all.

ps. look up apple cider vinegar. It often worked when fertility clinics did not succeed.

First and foremost , before all, seek Yahuweh's Kingdom and His Righteousness,
because
THEN
"all these things (EVERY GOOD GIFT) may be added unto you" ......

HE WILL make a lot of changes, some painful, in everyone's life, as needed.

The only thing that I can recall are positions where the flow of sperm is assisted by gravity. Usually, that means the wife is supine. Rear-entry (with her hips up & shoulders down) might satisfy the gravity requirement, too.

Have you seeked the Lord’s mercy ?
If you have, I suggest that you start giving. Give that you may receive.
What giving I suggest is that you give something the orphanage.
When you give to the orphanage, the Lord see what you are doing.
After your giving, pray to the Lord and ask Him what you need.

Next, find every opportunity that come that you see someone who is Christian and have a baby.
Humble yourself and tell that you have waiting for sometime to conceive, and now waiting for the Lord’s blessings, and ask that person to pray and bless your womb.
Remember the Lord knows what you are saying and doing.

Next, don’t worry about sexual positions or anything; just tell yourself that you are going to the place of worry; the place of worry is not good for you or your child or your family. Don’t visit that place. You go to place where you believe that you and your child like to go and do. Remember the Lord know what you set on your mind and the Lord honor when you set your mind on the things that are good.

Create an environment where faith in Christ flourish and your miracle will come to you.

Our first few months of trying didn't result in conception (first child), but then I had an idea:
After sex (missionary position), I had my wife lie still with her legs apart and knees up, for about 15 minutes. She conceived. Don't know if this made any difference, but...
