Biblical and other support for those Hurting badly!

Psalm 88 is one of my favourite psalms for i recognised the place the psalmist was in as the place i had been down in for so long as well. The word has room for deepest depressed people, our agony has been eternalised forever. Just the first 8 words already shows the attitude of the sufferer. "Lord, you are the God who saves me;" Can you see the faith? Even down that deep in the pit God is the God who saves us. Day and night our cry comes before Him. It is for us to know that and place our faith in.

So place your faith and trust in the Lord, you suffering down that deep, and call upon His name to help you out. Share Him your pain, just like the psalmist does, and make your truth God's truth, just as the Psalmist does. Honest He will lift you out of the pit you are in no matter how deep you are. Even when darkness is your closest friend.

Be of good courage.

Psalm 88
Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
May my prayer come before you;
turn your ear to my cry.


I am overwhelmed with troubles
and my life draws near to death.
I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
I am like one without strength.
I am set apart with the dead,
like the slain who lie in the grave,
whom you remember no more,
who are cut off from your care.


You have put me in the lowest pit,
in the darkest depths.
Your wrath lies heavily on me;
you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.
You have taken from me my closest friends
and have made me repulsive to them.
I am confined and cannot escape;
my eyes are dim with grief.

I call to you, Lord, every day;
I spread out my hands to you.
Do you show your wonders to the dead?
Do their spirits rise up and praise you?
Is your love declared in the grave,
your faithfulness in Destruction?
Are your wonders known in the place of darkness,
or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?


But I cry to you for help, Lord;
in the morning my prayer comes before you.
Why, Lord, do you reject me
and hide your face from me?


From my youth I have suffered and been close to death;
I have borne your terrors and am in despair.
Your wrath has swept over me;
your terrors have destroyed me.
All day long they surround me like a flood;
they have completely engulfed me.
You have taken from me friend and neighbor—
darkness is my closest friend.

Is it not true brothers and sisters that when the pain of depression has overcome us we are trodden down, rejected by all, and at the mercy of our torturers? How dark can it be down there? How lonely? How devoid of any good or any light?

Life can seem a heavy burden.
Good life seem unreachable.
Darkness be pressing all around.
Our realities sinking ever lower into that ugly pit.
God's love is unreachable.
We rather die than live on.

Depression is hellish and so alone and isolated from everyone, even our loved ones.

The truth is we have to die to these realities, we have to die to live in such spirituality before we can escape. That is why sowing good life into the dirt of our hearts is the first step in altering our realities.

God's good life comes to all those who have faith in His love because of Jesus. This is an indisputable fact. For us to internalise daily. Faith in God's love brings us hope. These three always remain in a believer's heart Paul teaches us in Corinthians 13:13. So true!

We can have hope for better because God's Spirit begins to transform us. As we bring our bad life to Him He teaches us to be stronger than it, and then usually takes it away after we have learned.

Life is one big lesson, that is why we were created to learn the difference between good and bad and to not mix the two in our hearts and minds for such brings misery. What praises we bring God when we see His glorious goodness over against the bad life our sinfulness brought into being? Unbelievable!

So bring your bad life to Jesus to deal with. He has a righteous solution to all sin. He is the answer to all our despair, He brings hope alive even as His promises cut our hopelessness down. With Him we can! So good to know that Jesus is with those who suffer depression.

That is such a beautiful truth, which also works through in my life.

There is a lot of truth in what you say. In my life even suffering produces good things in my heart. i think that is why i have joy in my salvation because i see that Jesus rescues me from my gone wrong life and builds me a new one into His kingdom.

Faith in His love does really produce hope.

What is the biggest lesson i have learned? That knowledge about Jesus needs to find the living Jesus as Lord of our hearts. By this i mean that knowledge comes to life, gives birth to new life.

Scripture is a spiritual book that describes the process of our salvation as our inclusion into the word so to speak. This is the grafting into the new vine Jesus is on about.

God's word has to become true inside our hearts where we meet the living truth, our Lord in Spirit dwelling in our hearts together with His Father because we have learned to love Him and our neighbour, however small the imprint. Truth does not lie.

The realisation that the bible was a spiritual book that needs to be read by the heart much more so than the mind. My mind had to be renewed in its thinking, the ways of the world died, as true love came back in its place.

A mind renewed by its Creator is an awesome concept that has had me absolutely flabbergasted at its integrity in doing as He says He would do. All my questions gone, all the answers make up the new Jerusalem. It is awesome to see her 12 gates open and true life streaming forth out of her. Zion ruling my inner world of being. God's love dwelling in me through the word that was preached to me.

So be wise if you suffer down deep and call out to Jesus to save you from there and then hold onto His promises and internalise them one by one. Eat the word of God into your heart but do it in God and neighbour loving spirit. The devil is very clever and uses religious constrains to harness us back to the law and other commandments. Thou shall not is not part of being free. However i love not to do wrong, is the way to walk away from your sins.

If you break the law because you do not love Him enough, but yourself more, then in that part of yourself, where you do that, you need to lie down your life so you will not loose it. Otherwise you are a goner, much inside our psyche is numbered to die so that in our new life we can rule from on high.

Christ's kingdom is a kingdom of love, truthful love, it is that what we need in our struggle for the faith. The more we suffer, the more good life Jesus has in store to get us out. He is a true master of our psychology. No one understands us better than Jesus does. No one is closer to us in our pain than Jesus is, who suffered more than us all, so He could get us into the Kingdom.

So build your life with His loving truth. Hold fast to His promises. Learn to love Him more than doing it wrongly so that He can take over the reigns and lead you to gentle streaming waters of life.

Truly His love is better than life, or should i say He is The Life. Where even in our suffering we drink in living waters from His loving truth dwelling within us.

If you feel hopeless, full of despair, sad, anxious, alone, forsaken, guilt ridden, ashamed then know Jesus can deliver you and grow you good life there instead. Just bring your bad life to Him and accept His graceful love and let this love grow in you until all bad life has been driven out. His love will transform your inner being. With Him the desolate places bloom. Please be of good courage.

The Living Word Saves
Meeting Jesus down in my deepest Pit
brought an end to all my inner pain
For lovingly The Word made me fit
to have my Good Life back again.

First The Farmer pulled up my weeds
digging up the dirt and rocks within me
then lovingly sowing His Good Seeds
in time harvesting me most abundantly!

Yes The Word's Voice in Spirit of Love
The Living Word brought me under His care
His love dwelling within me from up above
His everlasting Good Life with me to share.

So please do from your pit walk away
also farming His Good Life in your soul
finding New Life in God's Truth today

To all those with mental illness i would say keep searching for physical cures as well. For years i thought that my illness was mainly spiritual but i have learned to see how wrong i was. Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B3 as well as zinc, magnesium and vitamin B complex, that contains B1, B5 B6 and B12 made a world of difference to the levels of depression coming my way.

However not only vitamins but also medications have helped me enormously. It was just years in the finding, and those were very miserable years. If you are on medication but you still long to die then it is time to try something else i have learned to understand.

E.C.T has also made a world of difference in my life. At first i really did not see how that could help but it was very useful getting me out of suicidal depression.

Counselling was another tool that has been very useful in my life. It took some time to find a good counsellor but going by reviews can really be helpful finding one that does make a difference and does offer good support.

The truth is we might never get back to full health but life can be a lot better than rock bottom it is about finding the right support.

i want to praise Jesus for being a man after His own word. He does not lie. He is the truth. i'm so glad that we met up together, be it very deep down, for He brought me hope and gave me the ability to place my trust in God's love. Life was horrific down there. Now i know what God has in store for the wicked, as i shudder their fate in me. Jesus wiped out the wicked. Jesus divided sheep from the goats, even within my heart. Jesus brought me through the valley of death so that their power would not be able to ever control me again as they have.

This is another thing i'm so grateful about. Jesus taught me to know my enemy even as i was still fornicating my life to them, Jesus made me see how file the wicked truly are and what a horrible people they make out of us.

As a kid i thought knowing evil would be fun, but now i know that evil brings pain and suffering, a lesson well learned.

So glad The Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the Lord Jesus. i used to think those who love Jesus are self righteous people, but now i know that loving Jesus does not make us self righteous but brings us faith to rely on Him and not ourselves.

To suffer from depression is horrible. i look forward to the day the wicked die. i know it will come. The day of liberation when Jesus will remain as ultimate ruler of my heart and the kingdom of darkness is ousted into utter darkness.

Jesus helped me to hold onto God's loving truth when i'm down and out. i'm much stronger then i used to be, but when i'm long time down that hole, then the pain increases because i look at the world around me and despair, when i look at myself i despair as well. i can still feel so useless, like a filthy rag doll on the rubbish tip of life, about to be buried under the garbage. What a waste of a life my accusers shout. While they were the ones who meshed it up in the first place.

So thank Jesus for loving even me. Downtrodden and forsaken as i have been, even by myself, He taught me to build with love, faith and hope, transforming my life, and i will always be thankful to Him for that.

This world has nothing that i desire and causes me much suffering. i know by fighting the wicked in my own heart i can help. The more His light dwells in my heart the more of God's light shines on this earth.

i love the Lord for He has heard my cry for help and got me out of that pit and made me strong enough to stay out of it. That must be worth something.

That God's love dwells in you all.

i found that the more we love God the less we struggle with sin, love for God knows no sin. While loving other people, no matter who they are, is just as important as loving God.

Love sets us free from the grip of loveless depression. To love God and neighbour is to heal our broken hearts.

It has been awhile since i have written anything about my walk with The Word in Spirit. The last months much depression and anxiety have come my way. The dark forces pressing in this world take their toll on me as well. i suppose i have to keep focussing on Jesus and not let bad news distract me from having my life in His loving truth.

i suppose Jesus has come to the Temple area of my life. Years ago already He used The Word to show me what He was building within me. Much made sense. Like Jesus being the priestly king, offering sacrifices rightly for the people, a first in the history of Israel! And how in my priesthood i was set apart, to only serve God in my faithful to God's anointed (Christ rules a Davidic kingdom within,) and how living waters would come from underneath the altar. And God's Temple would be set apart within my Zion. So much has made sense to me, but other parts escape me, and i don't understand their meaning in my life. Like the exact measurements of everything in the Temple, why does The Spirit of god make such a fuss about that? And how that translate itself into deeper Spiritual meaning, i have often not been made aware off in any kind of detail.

i feel i need to travel back in the Word. Back to where the commandments and ordinances of God are spoken of and let The Holy Spirit reveal what He wants to teach me from that. For most of my life in the word is from Job upwards to Revelation, the Spirit has seldom made me eat the words of the first four bible books. Yet i know that is where the deep meanings of God's Holy presence are revealed for the first time, i know that is where The Spirit of God reveals the heart of God.

It was meditating on Psalm 119 that showed me how true that was, is, and always will be.

The earth is filled with your love, Lord;
teach me your decrees.

Do good to your servant
according to your word, Lord.
Teach me knowledge and good judgment,
for I trust your commands.
Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I obey your word.
You are good, and what you do is good;
teach me your decrees.
Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies,
I keep your precepts with all my heart.
Their hearts are callous and unfeeling,
but I delight in your law.
It was good for me to be afflicted
so that I might learn your decrees.
The law from your mouth is more precious to me
than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.


The early God lovers got their love for God from the first four books of the bible, they found Him in those words and ordinances, and they let those words teach them the words of life.

i know that in the book of Revelation there is no Temple, but that is after the second death has been, not before. For now God, in trinity, lives in my heart through the truths of His word, even though sinful flesh is all around Him! Me in all my divided self living my life in the physical reality and being confronted by the lies ruling this planet everyday again.

Yet like Ezekiel prophesied to me me it would be, His word has come to life within my own inner world of being. And now, instead of being the under dog a believer in Christ, i now rule my whole inner world of being through His loving truth living within me. Everything Ezekiel prophesied has come true, word for word i can find His life back inside my own. Awesome how He did that.

So now my focus is on the law, the first four books of the old testament, to see what the spirit of Christ is going to teach me about all that. Exciting really.

Deuteronomy 31:12
"Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law."

i found, to my deepest shame, that when the critical moment arrived i choose for sin and not my Lord. i thought i knew Jesus, but i found out i didn't know Him at all, i didn't even know how to love true, or be faithful or to lay down my life in my big I.

i was completely beguiled by religion, an arrogant, judgemental believer that is what i turned out to be the Day Jesus was first revealed to me. Truly i was found to be naked and was shamefully exposed.

It took me years to recover from that fall. Creepy satan literally blew my world apart. Deepest depression followed, often suicidal, i lost touch with Jesus. i didn't trust myself any more. i thought i was the son of lawlessness in disguise. i hated my self with a passion for letting Jesus down. If it had not been for my loving family i would have killed myself without a doubt.

Yet Jesus came and visited me in pit. Years after my fall. Eager to die from misery. He showed me grace and told me the way out was to learn to love like He did and then i would know the truth and the truth would set me free.

This is what i began doing. i began to place my trust in Jesus. Seconds at first before i was back in my misery, but seconds turned to minutes, to hours, to days, to week, to months, to years, to 24/7 in His loving truth no matter how deep down i am.

i will love Jesus forever showing me how to build true. Reading the Word of God as a personal address from Jesus to my heart and let His Spirit expose the liars and thieves stealing my good life.

The Living Word, that is who Jesus is within us. He speaks the Truth of God in love for God, ourselves and our neighbour. Let Him lead you away from sin into His glorious Kingdom.

Truly i'm so tired of people demanding faith from those not gifted yet, as if we have anything to do with our salvation, when The Word says that we have been saved by the faith God gifted us with it when He called us.
Ephesians 2:8
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—"

i tell you a secret if you want to be saved you need to love your neighbour as yourself which means you would want them to be saved like you.

Like The Word says. Be perfect even as your Heavenly Father is perfect and want all people to be saved like He does.

1 Timothy 2:1:6a
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people."

It is for us to help Jesus do the calling. That was the idea - to share our Lord with the whole world, not just keep Him for ourselves as religion has done.

Acts 13:47
"For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth."

If we want The Word to come true, and see all the people of the world mourn Jesus, then we better get them all to confess Jesus as their Saviour isn't? That is if you want the word to be true in all its prophecies and not just one.

Psalm 2
Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
“Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”

The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
“I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.”


I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:

He said to me, “You are my son;
today I have become your father.
Ask me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with a rod of iron

Oh Lord i only want You to rule this world, when will You come?
