They inflame just about any issue they report or address. They misrepresent, confuse, and divide. As the gatekeepers of information they have the duty of responsible reporting, commentary, etc.

What has been inflammatory about this story? Was there a misrepresentation of the facts? What is confusing?

It is simply a fact that there have been 147 mass shootings in America this year so far. Should the press not report these events?

Legal, registered gun owner? Or criminal?

More laws will do nothing to stop the latter.

We already have a law against murder.

It's in the Decalogue; and it's zealously enforced by every local government that I'm aware of.

I just ordered a PS5 that is being delivered by Fedex.. hope this doesn't interfere with my package delivery time. If it does.. I'm the real victim here.

I just bought a Glock 42, now if I can just get ammo for it.

I think people could stop shooting each other. That could lower the temperature a bit.

Ya gotta start with the reasons people are shooting each other.

Sadly my PS5 is probably broken into a million pieces right now.

Hope they have the decency to give it a 21 gun salute.

Depression, resignation. His rather narrow jaw indicates early childhood malnutrition, which might have contributed to other problems. His mouth suggests dental problems as well.

So it's not really about the media or the Left, is it?

Likely his inability to deal with the problems in his life. What is going on in the media likely didn't play into it.

The reporting of the events isn't the problem, it's the commentary that always follows.

I guessing that played into his anger, yes.

Glad to hear your earlier post was just some drivel, probably inspired by some kneejerk reaction.

I think you are confusing my statements about shootings in general with my statements about this specific shooting.

Ya gotta start with the reasons people are shooting each other.

This is not about people shooting each other. These mass killings do not involve an exchange of fire between people. They are nearly always assaults on peaceful people taken by surprise by men who go on to commit suicide.

I think you should start by examining how guns get into the hands of such men - actually not much more than boys recently. Weak chins and pimples have nothing to do with it.

People shooting each other is the biggest gun problem.

I think you should start by examining how guns get into the hands of such men - actually not much more than boys recently. Weak chins and pimples have nothing to do with it.

Here's the reason.

Hosea 4:1-3
4 Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood(shed) toucheth blood(shed).

The 19-year-old gunman who fatally shot eight people at a FedEx plant Thursday used two legally purchased assault rifles, police said Saturday, raising new questions as many call for tighter restrictions on powerful firearms and more safeguards on who can own them.

Police said the shooter, a former employee at the facility, bought rifles legally last July and September — months after his mother said she feared her son would attempt “suicide by cop.” That led authorities to question Brandon Hole, temporarily detain him for mental health reasons and seize his shotgun. The gun was not returned, officials say.

Yet Hole went on to obtain more firearms, despite Indiana’s red-flag law aimed at keeping such weapons out of the hands of potentially dangerous people. Under that law, a measure adopted and debated in many states, officials can confiscate someone’s weapon and then argue to a judge that the person should be prevented for some time from having a gun. Indianapolis police said Saturday night that they cannot say why Hole was not barred from purchasing the weapons under red-flag laws or whether authorities had pursued it.

....so his mother raises concerns to the police. Police confiscate a shotgun. He's interviewed by the FBI. Months later, he manages to buy two assault rifles in a state with red-flag laws.

I await more details from Indiana authorities....
