We do not, but the children are being taught that this is an option for them. There are even LGBTQ characters on children's shows. They are being taught there is a large spectrum for gender, and that they can choose where they fall on it, choose their pronouns, etc. This is all becoming part of the accepted narrative for normal society. Those who accept Biblical teaching instead of the secular view are labeled as backward and bigoted. So we have to live their lifestyle?
Ok I get it. But I assume that even kids have a built in natural repulsion for that which does not sit well with them. That would go for both sides of the preference issue. Puberty should clear things up.We do not, but the children are being taught that this is an option for them.
You really don't think so ???The bible preachs against homosexuality not only 'some christians' also, adulterers and thiefs are not trying to teach kids and everyone how good all that is and that we accept their behaviour.
However both sides need to step back and be content with who they are and leave others alone. It's a big world. Christians especially should understand being in the world but not of it.
Right ... so you're raising your kids in a society ... founded upon the conquest and near extermination of a native people, where slavery was the foundation of the economy for centuries, and where greed, avarice, selfishness, self-righteousness, and heterosexual extramarital sin has been normalized, ... and you are worried about what a slim minority of citizens are doing in their bedrooms. One problem is that parents want to raise their children in as healthy an environment as possible. LGBTQs are one of several forces at work that want to weaken or destroy the traditional family, and destroy the traditional Judeo-Christian values that the US was founded on (imperfectly).
Yes well no doubt they also ignore they are just supposed to sow seeds and not force them to grow in their own image. They are to fall where they may.Instead, the response was, "No. It's wrong and we're going to do anything in our power to stop you, control you. You're immoral and a sinner." Lol, no wonder that didn't work.
Abbie, thank you for your post. So many who claim to be Christians today are either AFRAID to speak the TRUTH or they have actually moved to the other side and now support what is POPULAR. Your post makes me think of John the Baptist, and how Jesus commended him for not being a "reed shaking in the wind." He didn't check to see what was POPULAR. He spoke the TRUTH...and let the chips fall where they fall.Nancy Armour at USA Today opines that "Bigotry comes with a price." In other words, if one is a Christian and Jesus Christ is their LORD, the LGBQT+ community has declared ad hominem war against those who believe in God's Holy Word. Speaking out in support of God's Word will cause the "Trans-sexual" community to label you as a bigot. Failing to publicly support anyone who calls themselves queer is tantamount to being labeled a racist.
Christ said if you follow Him you will be hated by the world.
What shall you do? Follow the world in order to fit in and not be labeled a bigot or a racist. Or, obey Jesus Christ who died for our sins, faithfully defend God's Word, and by His grace alone find eternal salvation in the presence of the LORD...
When the writer suggests that "legislators are willing to sacrifice all of it because of their own hate, ignorance and/or political calculation" perhaps she fails to consider that enough of the legislators are choosing "eternal glory" over hosting the approval of man, by hosting the "Final Four" in their city and state.
Opinion: NCAA must make states with anti-trans laws pay with loss of championships
You really don't think so ???
What are we doing when we send our boys out to "sow their wild oats" ?

Apparently "re-creating God in their own image" is an acquired skill in fine art of religious "cherry picking" - at which conservative Christians excel!
One would be wrong for assuming that worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic with 560,000 related deaths and the unprecedented number of major political, economic and social crises qualify as priorities on conservative Christian's "to-do-list!"
Apparently God is being glorified on earth through the introduction of voter suppression legislation, laws banning the transsexual takeover of woman's sports and widespread "election fraud" associated with providing food and drink to those in a voting lines!

The state teachers LGBTQ lifestyles as a normal and valid choice. This encourages young people to pursue such lifestyles, which further weakens the family structure. The state's authority over a child's right to choose his own gender supercedes the wishes of the parents. You may have seen the news story about the father in Canada who was put in jail by a judge for calling his daughter "daughter".
There's an argument here that since, as Christians, we are supposed to be detached from the world. Therefore we should let the LGBTQs do as they will, and not meddle in it.
I have no problem with a "live and let live" approach. I don't care what people do in their bedroom. The problem I have is with the activism. The activism that is indoctrinating the children and Canceling those who disagree with them. I'm not even sure if it's coming so much from the LGBTQs themselves or their overenthusiastic allies, many of whom will latch on to any cause if it will help tear down traditional western society. The pronouns, the boys playing girls sports, the banning of gender specific words like "mother" and "brother", it's all ingraining perversion more deeply into American culture.I agree. Christians should have taken the "live and let live" approach from the beginning. But instead they supported and continue to support legislation to control the situation. That, I think, is what brings the most resentment.
It would have been one thing if Christians, at the outset, had said, "We disagree. We don't think it is God's will, but we also recognize your agency and freedom to do what seems right to you. We're not going to watch your bedroom or try to prevent you from living together and marrying." That would have changed the whole dynamic.
A side effect of all the good rebellious actions being used up since the time of the Bohemians and on forward.the banning of gender specific words like "mother" and "brother", it's all ingraining perversion more deeply into American culture.
Would that not depend on which marriage you are speaking of, a secular one or a religious one? Even the religious one must bow to secular laws regarding registration but secular ones need not bow to any religious principles. But maybe giving up on the marriage issue was a mistake, because the institution of marriage continues to be weakened to the point of being on life support. There are a lot of factors contributing to this, but all these concessions chip away at it, little by little.
Would a naturally straight person see themselves as a sinner regarding their preferences. Do gay people suddenly desire to become outlaws or do they perceive their ways as natural as does the straight society? Curious. Why would this be any less true in cases of sexual perversion, than in any other kinds of sin?
