Why are we so susceptible to the propaganda and lies of both the media and the politicians.

And the more interesting question is, why do we so rarely hold the media propagandists and/or the lying politicians accountable?

We seem to treat our elections the same as a simple game or as 'love and war' where all is fair. Is it on the same level as stealing signs in a baseball game -- wink, wink?

It's difficult on this end to fathom?

CNN is free to do advocacy journalism. The problem is that they pretend to be mainstream and many are blind to the ruse, so their work is very effective. Ironically the one doing real investigative journalism is their nemesis, Project Veritas. Thankfully there are podcasts that rival CNN's reach, though youtube and facebook have been doing their best to put them out of business.

Sure. And Fox ran stories that supported Trump and buried others. No reasonable person could think that was just chance. That’s why CNN and Fox are both classified as not neutral. CNN, and mostly Fox news (but not commentary) were normally factually accurate. More extreme sources were not.
