The biological differences between males and females. For example, chromosomes (female XX, male XY), reproductive organs (ovaries, testes), hormones (oestrogen, testosterone). Biology is science and has never changed.
yep, its never changed. that is why we all know disease is spread through poisonous air rising up from the ground as a result of decaying organic matter carried by wind from stagnant swamps and cemeteries.

We take capsules of mercury to treat STD because biology doesn't change

The fact that biology doesn't change is why Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis, a Hungarian physician, was committed to an asylum for suggesting that doctors should wash their hands after examining a patient.

It's why we have strict speed limits of 30 mph to prevent people from suffocating

Biology and our understanding of it does change. Deal with it

I think an intermediary solution might be to have three tiers of competition,

  • (cis) males
  • (cis) females
  • trans (males & females)
and then once the relative levels of performance within the integrated trans group has become sufficiently stratified to identify / exclude any apparent advantages, look at reintegrating back into two tiers accordingly.

Which hopefully will give hardworking white girls the chance to go to college on a sports scholarship, although I wouldn't put money on any hardworking white girls (trans or otherwise) winning any 100m medals in the Olympics.

Trans make up such a small percentage of the population, it wouldn't be feasible to create a transgender sports league.

none of that negates the established science that shows there is only XX and XY and those never change.

Even if you alter your body chemically or through surgery.

Dealt with.

there are six viable karotypes, of which XX and XY are the most dominant. Try again. Try harder.

I'm sure you're correct. I suppose that would also mean that they are unlikely to dominate any women's sports anytime soon, which probably means it's a bit of a non-issue, at least generally speaking.

But the claim was Biology is science and has never changed.

How do you think the results of the "Trans" competitions would turn out for a woman who identified as a male competing in this group?

I think you may have to have four groups.. (cis) male... (cis) females.... those that are trans males and those that are trans females.

If you take the entire population of a state in the US.. and if the small percentage of these type of athletes...It wouldn't take more than a few percentages of the total population, in the age category of high school and colleges and universities.. to upset the chances of many many young women.

The population of Georgia is 10 million or so.
1% of that is 100,000. If 1% of them were 20 year old trans gender athletes... the sport is toast as this would be
1000 boys identifying as girls... How many scholarships do you think there are? How many compete for the state championship?

I would anticipate that a (trans)male would be at a significant disadvantage if they were forced to compete against (trans)females, although slightly better off than if they had to compete against (cis)males.

I suggested 3 groups because I think it would quickly become apparent that the people that are being most disadvantaged by the more (supposedly)progressive rules, are the (trans) males rather than the (cis) females.

i.e.
I think the rankings would most likely pan out as follows

1. (cis)males
2. (trans)females (1st and 2nd in their state competition)
3. (cis)females (unhappy runners up, making the headlines)
4. (trans)males (conspicuously missing from the debate but certainly not causing (cis)males any feelings of angst)

The only reason I think that groups 1. and 3. would be more dominant than groups 2. and 4. would be because I would anticipate a larger pool of talent to draw from.

Biological men should not be competing in women's sports, regardless of the small number. Having just one male member in the sport can change the outcome every time.

Heck I remember years back when a boy from India ended up playing on the girls field hockey team. He was a normal heterosexual male, but being there were no boys field hockey teams, because of Title IX, the school was forced to allow him to play. As a result of his outstand performance, the girls team dominated the league and won the championship. Of course the other schools complained that they were allowing a male to play, but the courts had already decided beforehand.

Why not follow the science and have biological males compete with biological males, biological females compete with biological females?

Did following science get kicked to the curb?

Ok... so I'm clear, in "following science", You want this biological female:

BuckAngel1-682x1024 (1).jpg

to compete in sports against this biological female:

Do I have that correct?

Whatever the case... We cannot have men who identify as women going into women's sports and not understand that this would be a catastrophe for real women athletes who are on track for scholarships and athletic recognition.

The Dallas U15 boys Soccer team beat the US women's National team in a scrimmage. USA women's team suffer 5-2 loss to FC Dallas' U-15 boys | Daily Mail Online

And, a rapper, "Zuby" walked in and broke the British woman's dead lift record. Male rapper identifying as female, declares he broke female deadlift record | wqad.com

I don't say this to mock.. I simply state it as support for the simple fact that those born as male have different biological bodies compared to girls.

Stating that something in your mind should over ride the rules that determine which category you should be place in when physical competitions are concerned..... is unrealistic. It puts you at an unfair advantage and others at an unfair disadvantage.

Does this apply to my post directly above yours?

Or is that different somehow?

I don't follow...
"Might as well" what?

*Unless you're quoting song lyrics? Then I totally follow! (~);}

Kamala Harris is Asian and Black. That shouldn't be confusing in 2020 — but it is to some

During her 2020 presidential campaign, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., found herself at the center of a controversy about which Americans can claim to be Black, or Black enough — because of both her biracial identity and her immigrant parents.

Born to a Jamaican father and an Indian mother...

People from India are considered to be Asian. The U.S. Census Bureau considers people from the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and the Far East to be Asian. —Reference.com

So would you and the US census would consider Indians and Chinese to be racially identical? how many Chinese and Indian individuals do you suppose would agree with that assessment?

The 6 Most Common Biological Sexes in Humans

The Six Most Common Karyotypes
The six biological karyotype sexes that do not result in death to the fetus are:

  • X – Roughly 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 5,000 people (Turner’s ) [3.5 million people alive presently]
  • XX – Most common form of female
  • XXY – Roughly 1 in 500 to 1 in 1,000 people (Klinefelter)[7 Million People]
  • XY – Most common form of male
  • XYY – Roughly 1 out of 1,000 people [another 7 Million folks]
  • XXXY – Roughly 1 in 18,000 to 1 in 50,000 births [400K people]
That adds up to the equivalent of the population of 2 "New York City's" on the planet today, of people that exist outside the XX-XY karyotypes, that you previously claimed do not exist.
