Sometimes it hurts me so much when I read the Bible, because I long greatly to put the words of Jesus into action. My situation is strange, i am not able to do the service and donate the money like I want to. When I watch the news and hear of people's suffering, especially when it is not their fault, it hurts, I love them like Jesus said to love your neighbors, I long to comfort them. I have a mental illness, i cannot drive a motor vehicle. i still live with my parents, and I am 40 years old. My mom is in charge of my bank account. It hurts to read about people's terrible sin in the Bible, and God's great wrath. I like the new testament with Jesus Christ great love, his wisdom and healing, his loving sacrifice on the cross. I want to obey my Lord and savior.

It hurts to watch Christian tv where they have republican preachers preach lies to get money, they go against science and truth, they lie about covid 19, encouraging people to be stupid and not protect their health. So many people have died, I think it is because they are foolish, they do not wear masks and social distant. They do not get the vaccine because they believe stupid lies. I don't understand how so many people can be so stupid.

i want to help people but I don't know how. I have strong beliefs and opinions, i am not willing to compromise my beliefs to hang out with people that are immoral, evil, stupid dishonest or troublemakers. I do not like those kind of people. Yes, I know Jesus hang out with people who the pharisees considered trash. I forgive people and I love them.

Hello AgapeBible, Jesus didn't discriminate, rather, He chose to love EVERYONE .. even the Pharisees ;) (if He hadn't, He wouldn't have wasted so much of His [short/precious] time with them trying to correct them and help them understand and embrace the truth).

The Bible tells us that it's easy to love family members, friends, and especially people who we agree with and like but, as the Lord Jesus tells us plainly, even unbelievers do that much. It's the agape that we choose to show to those who mess with our natural/human sensibilities, those who we see as, "immoral, evil, stupid, dishonest or troublemakers", that sets true Christians apart from others in this world where "love" for others is concerned (as the Lord Jesus taught us in both word and deed throughout His ministry years).

Here's a passage from the Lord Jesus' Sermon on the Mount that speaks to this.

Matthew 5
43 You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 so that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 For if you only love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

God bless you!

--David
p.s. - in case you are interested, here's what the Lord has to say in the similar passage in Luke :)

Luke 6
31 Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.
32 If you only love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 If you only do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.
36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Three suggestions.
Rather than watch so called Christian TV, either attend a local church or watch online services or listen to Christian audio.
One very large audio collection is the Martin Lloyd Jones collection in the UK.

Second. Talk to your mother about supporting a local charity and an international Christian charity and discuss what you can afford.
Jesus is concerned not with large donations but with the attitude of you.

Lastly while you may not be able to stack chairs or deliver food parcels etc you can take an interest in charities and Christian missions and pray for them intelligently, by that I mean none of the ,' ,God bless the poor!' rubbish.
Pray for their needs based on what the charity says they need.

Prayer is the artillery barage that prepares the enemy for the assault.
By praying intelligently and consistently you will be serving God.
