Holy Spirit - Gives Life
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
A defining of the flesh how it profits nothing - yet living by the spirit brings forth life.
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
A confirmation of the Spirit being with-in someone - The Holy Spirit of God - rose Christ Jesus up from the dead - if this Spirit dwells in you - God that raised Christ up, shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwell in you. - Speaking of sanctification (Understanding Romans Chapter 6)
This is the second letter to the Corinthians; Paul is explaining how we are live by the spirit for it brings forth life, and not of the Law of Moses -> The God by the spirit will write on our hearts and minds. (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 10:16)
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
A letter from Peter writing to the elect exiles scattered abroad in different provinces (1 Peter 1:1), -> Explaining that Christ has suffered once for sins, for the just and the unjust, that he might bring us to God -> being put to death in the flesh, and made alive by the spirit. (Again talking about sanctification of the flesh by being made alive by the spirit)
Holy Spirit - Spirit of Truth
Holy Spirit - Spirit of Truth
The world can not receive the Spirit of Truth because the world is looking at and to worldly things, and do not know, or see the spirit of truth in others.
However you know the Spirit and believe for the spirit dwells in you, and shall be in you. Because you are looking towards heavenly things, towards God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus is talking about -> When the comforter is come, whom Christ Jesus will send unto you from the Father - Even the Spirit of Truth - which comes from God -> The spirit of truth shall testify about me.
Jesus is talking about again how when the Spirit of truth comes - The spirit will guide you into all truth -(Spiritual understanding, knowledge of God's will, and wisdom) - (Jesus is also talking to his disciples here most likely)
1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
John is talking about how we are of God - He that knoweth God hears us and is lead in to spiritual understanding, knowledge of Gods will, and Wisdom. - Those that are not of God do not hear because they only hear with their earthly understanding and not spiritual. That is how they can tell between the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Holy Spirit - The Comforter
Jesus Christ shall pray to the Father, and Father shall give you another Comforter - that the spirit may abide with you for ever.
The Comforter which is the Holy Ghost - Whom the Father will send in my name - Shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance of whatever has been spoken to you by me - Jesus Christ.
Jesus explains when the comforter has come - Who Jesus Christ will send to you from the Father - even the spirit of truth - which comes from the Father - shall testify of Christ Jesus.
Jesus Christ is telling the disciples (most likely here) - It is a must that I have to go away, for if not, the Comforter will never come to you. But if I depart, I will send Him unto you, and when he comes he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgement.
(The holy spirit will reprove our lives from our fleshly old ways, being buried and risen again with Christ Jesus looking towards heavenly things rather than earthly)
Again, the spirit of truth comes, the spirit will guide you into all truth: For he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, and that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come - (Jesus talking to his disciples most likely here)
