You guys also think Edgar Allen Poe killed a guy after reading "the raven", eh?
A prayer to 'god' (since my God would refuse to hear such a 'prayer') is a far cry from a made up story. False equivalency anyone?

No, not false equivalency. The lyrical person doesn't magically no longer apply just because a poem is written in the form of a prayer.

Isn’t that what the majority of the book of Psalms is?

1 To you, Lord, I call;
you are my Rock,
do not turn a deaf ear to me...

3 Do not drag me away with the wicked,
with those who do evil,
who speak cordially with their neighbors
but harbor malice in their hearts.
4 Repay them for their deeds
and for their evil work;
repay them for what their hands have done
and bring back on them what they deserve.

So you are attempting to compare the Jewish works of Psalms to this piece of, what you are calling, poetry? Where do any of the psalmists ask God to help them hate whites?

Are you for real? Read the Bible.
We are speaking of this so called 'prayer' in the OP. Please show me where any psalmist asked for God's help in hating whites.

The Psalmist prays for his enemies to get their just deserts, for the malice in their hearts and their evil deeds, despite their cordial speech to their neighbors. One could well say the same about racists. Indeed, the author of the OP did.

The people who are happy to have me over for dinner, but alert the neighborhood watch anytime an unrecognized person of color passes their house.

No, she said "white people".

So I guess if you are white you just get thrown into the batter and mixed together......
The German Reich anyone? They showed the first step to persecution is demonization.....seems we are going down the same road that they did......

Perpetually angry people can't get out of the crib of bitterness and blame, there will be no Reich forthcoming from such.
Hitler was perpetually angry.....all over losing WWI. We see what he did......all it takes is 1 to be the leader...... There are always drones ready to be led.......

"By their fruits you shall know them" Matt 7. When the "culture of hate and division" enters the churches, it usually starts with the seminaries, professors, academia.

SJW politics makes a poor substitute for the Word of God. Man made religion is worthless.

Theology prof: 'Dear God, please help me to hate White people'

where we find the following

One wonders what god is being addressed in that prayer.

Take any race of mankind substitute it in for "white people" and ask yourself if that prayer sounds racist. Ask yourself if "hate" is the new prayer for Christians.

"Love your neighbor as yourself UNLESS they are of x-or-y race"???

Has SJW politics been raised to the level of deity??

How are these ideas even " a little tempting " for Christians to get caught up in??

The Roman Empire was one of the most ruthless and brutal empires known to mankind -- under THAT empire Paul said "Love your neighbor as yourself" Rom 13, so also did Christ say it Matt 19.

No wonder Black thought leaders like Larry Elders, Thomas Sowell and many others are condemning the hate-culture of SJW.

Black Conservative Thinkers (143 books)

==================

So then what about her critics? What if someone "differs" with her "prayer for more hate?"

She responds "maybe some cult deprogramming can help them."

=====================

In the above text I say "Take any race of mankind substitute it in for "white people" and ask yourself if that prayer sounds racist. Ask yourself if "hate" is the new prayer for Christians."

I doubt that any who would dare to post in defense of the prayer in the OP would take the time to be that objective about the discussion.

All Americans decry the racism in the South before the civil war as a horrible and tragic situation. But even THEY did not make the claim "if you do not pray for God to make you hate black people you are racist". One wonders how such logic even comes about.

Yeah....she's a racist.

But let's give her the most gentle consideration of her ugly viewpoint possible and start from there....

A group of black people were transported as property and stripped of cultural factors against their will. It's not surprising that they should begin to see themselves as distinct from the white people who did this. They slowly began to create their own group identity to replace the one taken from them.

Over the subsequent decades a long argument over the correct way to view this relationship between two groups has resulted in the gradual humanization of black people and acceptance of their status as equals in all ways and respects. That's a summarization of a long process full of steps forward and steps backward.

That's how it looks to many white people who can remember, even in the 90s, how badly racist beliefs had fallen out of fashion. People had careers ruined over a word spoken in public or were apologizing to everyone.

I can understand why it would seem like a one sided problem. I think a lot of white people assumed once they dealt with the racism within the broader white community....all other communities would emulate it. This is apparently wrong.

Black people have never stopped seeking a replacement culture for the one taken from them. This had some positive effects....and negative effects. The identity they have forged seems to be currently manifesting as a result of their struggle against racism.

It was a long struggle....so that makes perfectly reasonable sense.

The problem is that as actual racism declined in the white community....that identity as an oppressed people struggling against racism becomes less relevant. We see increasingly used terms like "playing the race card". We see accusations of racism without any evidence and are left wondering.

That hasn't stopped. In attempt to cling to this identity of the oppressed who righteously struggle against racism....they attempted to redefine it. It's something only white people do. It's something inherently in systems. It's something you do unconsciously. It's something you do without realizing.

No one actually uses these definitions....because they don't really work or cannot clearly express a better understanding of racism. Everyone still goes by the same old definition. The new ones only get trotted out by certain people for certain reasons.

The results of this are clear....we have created a society that allows certain people to express openly racist and hostile beliefs that we would not accept from other people. This is perpetuated by people who never hold these racists accountable or ask them to examine their own racist beliefs.

That's a rather gentle version of how we get to the point where this woman feels it's acceptable to be so openly racist. I'm sure she's genuinely surprised that anyone disagrees. I'm not saying she's a bad person, but she's a person who is a result of her time and place. Calling her a racist isn't a moral judgement....it's simply a statement of factual truth.

There's some eerie similarities....

Let's assume the worst by saying some Hitleresque racists hate white people and seek to eliminate them. You'd expect to see certain things like racial scapegoating (blaming all social ills on white people) and it would creep into the political and educational environment as well.

These are similarities. Jews left the German educational system in droves when it started teaching they were inherently immoral and greedy. White people have rightly begun leaving the educational system now that it teaches whites are inherently racist and immoral.

So I can understand the comparison. Let's look at why it won't play out the same way.

These particular racists aren't smart. They think that power comes from writing laws....it doesn't. They are also bad at math....since whites make up 60+% of the population and German Jews only made up about 1% of the population.

It's easy to oppress 1%....it's really hard to oppress 60%.

Even if you get a significant number of that 60% to go along with it....you can't create a system that denies them benefits and treats them as second class without it becoming apparent.

Those who went along at first with the program will eventually withdraw support or switch sides.

I'm hoping it never gets that far though. I'd rather not be around to see it. I don't expect any gentle treatment or careful response to be the result.
