They are now sending most of the children back unless they can prove they have a parent to support them.

The fertility rates are high in some Central American countries. Women have more than two children and this leads to poverty. Nations with the highest fertility rates are the poorest. Haiti and Guatemalan women have 2.9 children. Haiti is suffering severe deforestation on soil erosion.

Jesus taught against lust. He people that those divorced for marital unfaithfulness should not remarry. Billions do not have indoor plumbing and more children are on the way.

Building a wall is not good enough. They come from other nations by plane on tourist visas and do not go back. Employers do not use citizenship verification tools or they do not work. They might need a national biometric ID system.

I think it's the other way around, poverty leads to more than two children per mother.

Year 2019 does not begin in October, look at your own chart. No year begins in October. Your chart shows the surge going up in January 2020. Mid January at that.
The federal fiscal year starts in October actually. So the 2019 FY would be October 2019- September 2020. And while you are right that the surge goes up in Jan 2020, Trump was still President. Biden didn't take office until Jan 20 2021. So blaming Biden for the FY2019 surge makes no sense.

Here is a more current chart. See the spike?
We have seen all the T-shirts with Biden's name plastered accross the front worn by migrants. It's obvious.

So people make it across the boarder, in spite of a wall. Even turn themselves in. Now what to do with them. Send them back? They come back again. What is the answer?
The answer is to reinstate trumps policy. It worked. Look at the chart for 2020 how low it went.

Because there could be nothing else that impacted migration numbers in 2020.

If you have any ideas about what that something else might be....

First of all, to argue on the idea of who was president is not accurate. The issue is policies concerning immigration. We all remember the outrage of kids in cages, separation of familes etc. It's all we heard about. That was before Trump made a deal with Mexico. The charts reflect the change in policy. Not just who is in office at the time. It's a change in policy that affects the chart stats

Global pandemic maybe?
No because we still have a global pandemic. In January of last year there was no pandemic. It's the institution of Trumps policies in the deal he made with Mexico as a result of the previous surge. Biden stopped those policies and invited them in. Is still doing so.

'Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.' Exodus 22:21

Woe unto the hard of heart who say close the border to the oppressed. Trump and others who do not heed the Bible as Christians :(

Those strangers were not illegally in their land. Those strangers were to obey their laws.

Strangers can also be refugees. Who is neighbor to the refugee?
