If so, "under the earth" in the Old Testament times were two places: Hell proper ... and Paradise; known collectively as "Hell."
Abraham died and went to Hell, but he went to the "good side" of Hell.
The passage you quoted ...
Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
... simply reinforces the fact that every knee is going to bow, and every tongue is going to confess Jesus Christ.

Paul, no offense, you keep giving me these Hebrew words, and they mean absolutely nothing to me.
1 Corinthians 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
I don't even believe the entire book of Genesis was written in Hebrew, until Moses copied it into his language.
Okay, so some Hebrews regarded the firmament as solid.
I feel sorry for their lack of understanding of outer space, but God took care of that when the time came.
As I'm fond of saying, where the King James differs with the original Hebrew, the original Hebrew is wrong.

It's called "Hell."
A place of fire and brimstone, where the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched.
The "good part" of Hell was taken up to Heaven, when Jesus was resurrected (or at His ascension).
Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
That left the "bad place" downstairs.
Remember the witch of Endor? she had to call Abraham "up" from the earth.
But in the New Testament, after Jesus' ascension, Paul, when he was beaten to death at Lystra (Acts 14), mentions Paradise being up in Heaven in 2 Corinthians 12, since he went there himself.
How did it get up there from the center of the earth?
Jesus took it there.

Hey I won't sabotage your thread like people do. Just wanted to throw a few thoughts. For fifty plus years I believed what you do. Last few years I decided to re examine scripture in a un biased way, and my view has changed. Dr. Heiser with Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible and Semitic Languages is a well known scholar with many peer reviewed papers and he agrees with your view, though he teaches the Bible shows the properly defined 3-tier Cosmology, which you want to re-define. Have fun.

By the way. "under the earth" is not hell; Hell/Hades is located "under the earth." So is Sheol/the grave [Ps 141:7]; the bottomless pit [Rev 20:3]; Gehenna [Matt 5:29]; and Tartarus [2Pe 2:4]. Compartments on levels, (like 3rd heaven) of the "realm of the dead." [Acts 2:31], which is "beneath the waters" [Job 26:5-6]. The "lower earthly regions" where the Lord Jesus Christ descended [Eph 4:8-9].

Paul is talking about people, metaphorically, being steadfast and unshakeable in their faith.
I don't think this can be what the OT means about the earth being set immovably on pillars or foundations.
