I know Jesus died for the sins of the world, but what do you make of this verse.

1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

I feel as though any answer I give to you would not convince you nor would it change your mind on the subject.

Are you of the impression, love alone would supersede or be sufficient without Christs Sacrifice

Therefore the question is, what do you make of the verse?

Therefore the question is, what do you make of the verse?

Matthew chapter 25 starting verse 31

The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Sorry, but you will have to come up with some modicum of Interpretation for me.

You asked for an opinion on a verse from Peter, and I asked you to give me yours, posting another quote of Scripture does not clear up the first question you asked unless there is an Interpretation to go along with it, I do not know what your thinking on the matter is.

No if someone loves, I believe their all set, believer or unbeliever.

So what your belief is, is, if someone demonstrates love, it's attributed to them as though they had Believed in Christ as Savior, even though they never did?

it's attributed to them as though they had Believed in Christ as Savior,

Titus chapter 1 verse 16
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

I already said it, but you were not listening.

Well then, in that case, all of your replies are wrong.

Mar 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Eph 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Therefore loving as you say, without becoming a Believer in Christ for Salvation first, is futile.

I already showed you, you were wrong, look.

1 John chapter 4 verse 7
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

My words or your words mean nothing what matters is God's word.

And the bible even says the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love.

Title says it all. Also, just to start off, I am a believer but I always have questions like these pop up in my head when I read the OT. I was reading the Psalms tonight and the Sons of Korah and David both talk about their delight in the Lord for his forgiveness of sins and how He makes those who love Him righteous. If God forgave the sins of those who love Him before sending His Son, and made people righteous, then why did we need Jesus in the first place?
To have eternal life, as an inheritance. We do not hope for this life, but the next.

We're trapped in time, but Jesus' redemptive acts resonate in eternity, for all times and all places.

What was Jesus’ purpose if sins were forgiven before His Incarnation?

Because though sins were forgiven before His Incarnation, it was still based upon the shedding of His Blood in time. In the Mind and Purpose of God, Christ was slain from the foundation of the world Rev 13:8

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

EVERY sin ever committed on this planet and every Sin that can be committed in the Future has been wiped out.

What about 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

I believe we still need to love, in two verses it says God is love, so with out love we're nothing.

Jesus was a minister to the circumcision in his first coming (Matthew 15:24, Romans 15:8)

He was sent to fulfill the promises of a king from David to usher Israel into their promised kingdom (2 Samuel 7, Luke 1:68-75, Acts 1:6)

If Israel had accepted him as their Messiah, the kingdom would have begun for them immediately after Daniel's 70th week (Acts 2:16-21, Acts 3:19-21)

Matthew chapter 25

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
