Do you have any children yet? How many? Boys and girls? Age?

I do not have any children yet and am hopeful one day I will.

I do not. I recognize something that I just thought of this morning... people who are already parents advise me and others who are waiting not to rush into parenting. Given that they have the first hand experience, I guess that there's so much more to it than meets the eye. So I'm taking their advice to heart. It's best to take your time and be really prayerful about a good spouse rather than rushing ahead of God for a desired outcome. Waiting is worth it!!! May God strengthen us to wait upon Him for the desires of our hearts.

I do not either. And I most likely never will. Being a "feeling-person" my love for a girl would compete with my love for Jesus, so I'll avoid it altogether. I had to make a decision in the past, and now my life belongs to God only.

I have 2 girls. Their mother was 7 years younger than me. I turned 30 shortly after the birth of the older girl. I was 32 when the younger girl was born.

I'm a single parent these days. Their mother died when the younger one was 6 months old.

No I don't have children. I probably will never. I have Cerebal Palsy and my husband is older then me. I do have a 8 year old black lab that is my baby
I have CP as well and have also decided that I do not want any children. Plus, I am now nearly 30 and have not had a serious relationship. I do love dogs, also.

Nah I don't have any kids. I never got around to it and probably won't at this point because I'm celibate by choice.

It doesn't bother me though, I have some friends with kids and I get to play the role of the "cool uncle" (to quote Dr. Steve Brule:p) and I try to be a good influence on them, because I don't want them to end up with messed up lives, as our area eats young people alive and spits them out to be a shell of what they once were pretty easily.

Lately I've been riding my "nephew" to take school more seriously. His dad & I didn't and we've had relatively difficult adult lives full of hard work and money worries. He says he wants to join the military, his dad is against that, but I have had to explain to him that you can't just get bad grades and think that the military is going to be your meal ticket if you really want to make a career out of it.

Excellent mentorship there. I logged 5 years in the Navy and they were selective when I enlisted. All of the services have only gotten more selective in the 7 years since I discharged. I don't think any of the services are currently enlisting people with a GED rather than a traditional high school diploma. Additionally, to crack the upper echelon of enlisted ranks it has become an unwritten rule that at least an Associate's degree is an educational expectation.
